As a person who spends my whole life living in a tropical country, I would love to answer your adorable question at 12:32. Yes, the leaves on the trees here are also change and fall. Here in Indonesia, we have 2 "seasons": rain season where you experience non-stop rain for months that causes such high humidity, and dry season where the the sun shines way brighter and the air is so dry. During dry season, the leaves on the trees will fall to minimize the evaporation, since it's very hard to get source of water (especially rain) on that period of time. Some trees change the color of its leaves before falling, some don't. Some trees drop all its leaves to the ground, some just drop a few. The leaves will grow back as soon as they have enough water resources, usually when the rain season come. So, yeah, we do have fall season here, just without a crazy temperature drops, but in the middle of a bright, hot day. xx

@@jonnajinton Hi Jonna! I'm from the mountains of Colorado. I busted out laughing when you did your accent cuz you nailed it! You are so talented. I live in northeastern Florida now. It's subtropical so in answer to your question about what happens to leaves in a warmer climate. I can tell you the leaves change color a little bit in the fall but the ones that don't lose their leaves, well, they hang in there all winter. They turn a dusky green so slowly it's hardly noticeable. Then just as the green starts to fade to brown they are pushed out by a burst of bright green new leaves in the spring. There are a lot of leaves. And pollen. Oh my gosh. There is so much pollen then it forms small yellow drifts on flat surfaces like porches, sidewalks and roads. Another factoid for you; you probably cut your wood then let it age for a year or two. Here it is so humid that mold and fungus rot the wood in a year so you have to burn it soon after you cut it or it's hard to burn. Some trees grow 3 or 4 meters every year. Fall is the time to prune so there is always plenty of fresh fuel each winter. Yes, it makes a lot of smoke but it's either that or nothing. It does get cold enough to enjoy a fire outside though. Oysters are in season in all the months ending in the letter R. So it works out perfectly. Roasting oysters over a fire pit is a very good reason to get together with friends here.
That quote "the mountains are calling and I must go" is from John Muir, the naturalist, environmentalist, botanist, zoologist, and inventor who was an early advocate for protecting wilderness in the United States. His activism helped preserve Yosemite Valley and the Sequoias in my home state, California and he is known as the Father Of The National Parks system that we have in the United States. I think you would probably enjoy learning about him!
John Muir was a wonderful nature spirit. He was born in Dunbar, Scotland. He famously said if you pick up anything in nature you will find it is attached to everything else an early understanding of quatumn physics or eve string theory. We are one with everything _/|\_ 👣🍁🍃
@@jonnajinton I would love to welcome you and your husband to our home in South Florida USA one day for you to experience a tropical climate. My children are on RUclips as well. Same here! The differece is that I wanted to live in the mountains long before I discoverd her channel. But she inspired me to enjoy life as it is for the moment.
“The mountains are calling & I must go & I will work on while I can, studying incessantly.” comes from Scottish born, environmentalist, John Muir in a letter to his sister in 1873.
My favorite saying is “Into the mountains I must go, to loose my mind and find my soul”. I’m fortunate to only live 5 hours from the majestic Canadian Rockies. There’s nothing like it.....you would love it💕
I am from the tropics. Most of the trees in here are “evergreens” which means they’re green and with leaves all year round. For me it’s so fascinating watching a place and culture so different than mine. Love your videos.
Hi @@jonnajinton I live in a city near the mountains in Northern Thailand. We have one and a half months of winter, but only a few days when it gets very cold. We have beautiful trees and the leaves turn red, golden yellow and magenta in November. But most of the trees still have leaves all year round even though many drop to the ground. We also have beautifully scented flowers during the few months of Autumn when it is mildly colder. Vibrant, colourful winter flowers bloom in Autumn and sometimes remain throughout winter, especially in the mountain regions. It is so vastly different from where you live in Sweden and not nearly as cold. For 10 months of the year it is hot and humid. I am a photographer and love to visit the hill tribe villages. There are such a variety of hill tribes that adorn themseves in vibrant tarsitional clothing, headresses, bags and jewellery. They are mostly beautiful, gentle people , originally from Tibet or China. Many of them fled Myanmar and are refugees. I love the indigenous people here and I had no idea Sweden has Indigenous people, I found that fascianting. Thank you for showing us your lifestyle and which is so different and vey inspiring.
I recently moved from a big city to the Cairngorm region of Scotland, and I'm starting to feel like I'm living in a wild place in the middle of nature. I feel like I'm experiencing what you do. And I love it. It's amazing. I've never been so happy in my life. And part of the reason I moved here because watching your videos made me so excited, so I feel I should at least thank you for inspiring me. As always, an absolutely incredible video.
wow! I love love love Scotland, want to visit it so badly , it magical there . I want to go there so badly and I will in my future . im so happy for you .
@@burntsoup I'm from Edinburgh, and it is a lovely city. I did enjoy living there, and if I had to live in a city I'd choose that one. But the city life just isn't really for me. Too many people, not enough freedom. Each to their own, though.
The silence of nature is one of the loudest things I've ever felt, it's such an incredible experience. There are still sounds - birds, rushing rivers, sometimes trees creaking - there's sounds everywhere.... But there's this blanket of silence, of peace that just settles over everything. You almost can't help but speak in hushed voices to respect it, to be a part of it. It's one of my favorite things about camping 💜 just .... Listening. What a magical place
Please never stop saying Mountain like that. It's one of my favorite things in the world and makes me smile every time you say it. It's a lovely way to pronounce it.

Myself, I'm a mountain soul; so, I noticed your pronunciation of 'mountain' right away. I would definitely not say that your pronunciation was weird. Different, yes. But quite charming. In my view, English words spoken with a Nordic accent are most enchanting. So, please don't listen to naysayers.
What I really love about this girl is her uniqueness, sincerity and the fact that she doesn’t try to be somebody else but herself. I love the way she shows us the beauty of our wonderful planet we ALL live in; which is there, available for us to enjoy every single day. Thank you for sharing your way of seeing the world.

I too collect little stones from every mountain I hike. They fascinate me. I know what it’s like .. hearing the mountains calling you. When I’m in the mountains is perhaps the only time that my mind is clear. I’m one with myself, with nature. I come here, to your channel, for meditation really. Your music, your voice, your photography, your art soothe me. I don’t know if all of this sounds weird... but these are my honest feelings. Lots of love and greetings from the USA.
I think I could listen to Jonna read from the sports page of the newspaper and still become entranced. Very calming and soothing voice, JJ. Thank you!!
It's not just the noise that becomes quiet, it's the energy." What a beautiful way to describe this time of year. I've always wonderd why I love this time of year so very much...the winter as well. I always figured it had to do with the reduction in noise...but, I think it has far more to do with the serenity that comes through a natural reduction in energy. For people who are quiet types, it is heaven on Earth this time of year. Thank you once again for the beauty that you bring to all of us through your videos, and your words. @@jonnajinton strange fact, but being from Russia, it's easier for me to understand when you are speaking in English compared to when a native speaker says something (or when my teacher from Spain says something in English it's even worse). Jonna, my dear, I live northwest of Brazil, almost under the equatorial line. It's an eternal summer here, really warm. What changes is that we have half of the year with rain and half really dry. Trees keep their leaves, but every type has their own season to change leaves (that don't fall all at once), giving fruits and flowers. September is a really beautiful month here, since one of our typical trees, called Ipê, get full of flowers, and it's kinda magic 😍 I love to watch your videos, I am curious about places that have all 4 seasons just like you are curious about places like where I live 🤣 ❤️❤️❤️

You cannot give up your freedom without losing your life. Vitamin D is a huge part of staying healthy in this time of virus being used by negative dark forces. Get outside daily in the light and let the sun help you process Vit. D. If you have darker skin you need to make MORE vitamin D than others which requires you being in sun longer and taking supplements. Order natural form of HCQ and take prophylactically 500 mg with Zinc and Vit D and C. If you can get ivermectin from some source research proper human dosing as many studies are showing these 2 anti virals are both working to prevent and to cure virus. Beware the vaccine it is not safe IMO. Not enough testing and long term studies. There are none. MRNA has never been used successfully on humans. FAUICi recently said in interview he does not know if vaccine will make Virus more transmissible or even if it can stop Virus. That is astoundingly stupid to push vaccines on people in an artificial pandemic which is the only way this got through in first place. Do Not Consent to this Experimental Vaccine. Boost your natural innate Immune system. Stay strong and FREE. Best wishes!

Here in the Brazilian tropical drylands, each type of tree has its own rhythm: many change leaves when they flower or fruit. Others lose their leaves at the beginning of the dry season. Others change their leaves at the beginning of the rainy seasons. But most DO change their old leaves for new at some time in their cycle...

In tropical north queensland Australia, our trees never drop leaves, change colour or anything like that. In Europe we young women are able to travel alone and have much more freedom because many of our ancestors have fought for it. I am Italian and I'm deeply grateful to them for all they did and all that they have sacrificed so that women like me would be able to be as free as a bird. I don't give it for granted. To other women who don't have the same privilege, all I can say is: you could be the future ancestor of someone who will be deeply grateful for the small and big fights you've fought to gain more freedom. I send all my sisters on the other sode of the world much love and strength.
watching her videos makes me realize what we all could do when we would be just brave enough and dedicated enough. We all could do probably more what we love - even when we have jobs and other time consuming things to do. Lets just start creating :)
Hi Jonna - you wondered what it was like living somewhere without "seasons" - I am in Brisbane, Australia and I always am jealous of your seasons! Our summers are hot and humid (mins of 20-25 and highs of 30-40 degrees C) and we have lots of thunderstorms, and because there is more rain, everything looks greener. In Spring and summer, there is lots of new growth due to the increased rain, and some of the native plants and trees flower to give a little colour. Our winters really pleasant and not much rain, with lots of clear sunny days and temps from 10-20 degrees C. We have a huge variety of native gum trees (eucalyptus) that don't shed their leaves. They stay green (more like green/grey) all year around. But every few years they shed their bark to reveal new light coloured bark. The only trees we have that change colours like yours are in colder climates in the southern states, and they are introduced (European) species. Anyway - I hope that gives you an idea of what it's like in places that are "always Summer"! Love your videos, they inspire me to visit your beautiful country and Europe in general. Much love from Australia xox

True
Yes, it’s so endearing! As is your comment 🙂
So, yeah, we do have fall season here, just without a crazy temperature drops, but in the middle of a bright, hot day. xx

Lol I loved that.
Are Muir Woods and Muir beach in CA name after him? Ty ✌🏼
Thank you so much for sharing more about John Muir ❤️🙏 I really need to read more about him. What a passionate soul.
John Muir was a wonderful nature spirit. He was born in Dunbar, Scotland. He famously said if you pick up anything in nature you will find it is attached to everything else an early understanding of quatumn physics or eve string theory. We are one with everything _/|\_ 👣🍁🍃

“The mountains are calling & I must go & I will work on while I can, studying incessantly.” comes from Scottish born, environmentalist, John Muir in a letter to his sister in 1873.
Somehow reading the rest of that quote makes it feel even more deeper and moving. Thank you for writing it 💜
Thank you so much for sharing the whole quote!! I love that ❤️🙏
I love that you and your partner give each other space to be alone with your thoughts... it's refreshing to see such a healthy relationship.
I love the way she puts that rose quart in return of that rock. Her respect to nature is beyond anything!
Love your videos.
evergreens do not include things like palm trees, banana trees, coco. palm. trees, etc.
Thank you so much for answering my question ❤🙏🏻
Listening.

About getting comfortable in front of the camera ...
"Do you agree?"
"No"
I love you guys, hahahaha
🤣
Here in the Brazilian tropical drylands, each type of tree has its own rhythm: many change leaves when they flower or fruit. Others lose their leaves at the beginning of the dry season. Others change their leaves at the beginning of the rainy seasons. But most DO change their old leaves for new at some time in their cycle...
Thank you so much for letting me know how the trees change with the season where you live ❤️🙏
Do the leaves change colours too?
@@draug7966 some of them do, but most of them are constantly green (variations are more in the intensity)

All of these documentaries need to display a warning before watching them that reads “ Warning the following documentary is highly addictive and may keep you up at night wanting more”
So true!!😂😂
No warning sign and now I am late already mate 😂
And watching for hours💖🤗
Yesss
At such tough times of my life, I always find myself rewatching your videos, and they bring me back to myself, to nature, and to connection with all that is. Thank you so much 🙏🏽
There is actually no words to describe this, but thank you for sharing this magic with us. You are like a book, always transporting us to another world. I love you.
In tropical north queensland Australia, our trees never drop leaves, change colour or anything like that. They are bright green all year round and flower all the time sporatically, full of energy thanks to the burning heat and humidity all the time. For us, the only change is between a rainy day and a sunny day!
Northeast of Brazil its the same thing. What sets it apart is the rainy season but always green.
@@floor4067 Evergreens do shed their leaves, but it is a gradual thing that you don't notice, unlike deciduous trees that lose their leaves all at once.
Sounds like paradise. The grass is always greener on the other side, I guess. Or at least the leaves.
@@floor4067 its a continual slow shed all year round. As leaves age, they drop off randomly, but the tree as a whole never loses its 'greenness'
@@vidstige haha its only paradise if you love hot weather and humidity! otherwise it can be quite soul sapping! :D
I feel so wonder..like in some parts of the world women cant even travel on their own.. people judge every little things you do,,i am glad you show us all that beautiful places so that people like me feel much better..lots of love from India
I am also from India
In Europe we young women are able to travel alone and have much more freedom because many of our ancestors have fought for it. I am Italian and I'm deeply grateful to them for all they did and all that they have sacrificed so that women like me would be able to be as free as a bird. I don't give it for granted. To other women who don't have the same privilege, all I can say is: you could be the future ancestor of someone who will be deeply grateful for the small and big fights you've fought to gain more freedom. I send all my sisters on the other sode of the world much love and strength.
I am also from India😊i watched her since 2017,loved her Channel so much❤
you are right. The way you say it is native to you and your land. don't change to fit in someone else's world, yours is fabulous
watching her videos makes me realize what we all could do when we would be just brave enough and dedicated enough.
I feel in my heart, I miss the kind of peace that I see in your movies. Maybe someday I will find the courage to reach for something. Now I enjoy the deep breath that fills my lungs whenever I watch your movies. I am sending kind thoughts from Poland. Magda.
It takes courage, so buy a little trekking tent and get out into the wilderness of Poland and enjoy a simple day of solitude.
