Road Runner Express is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas. It was built for the park's 1997 Season and is the last mine train roller coaster ever to be built by Arrow Dynamics in a Six Flags theme park.
In contrast to most of the similarly named Road Runner Express coasters at Six Flags parks, Fiesta Texas' version is not a junior coaster, but a full-scale, though not extreme, family roller coaster. The target audience for the ride is families with preteen children.
Some track portions of Road Runner Express pass under segments of the Iron Rattler roller coaster, as they sit next to each other in the park's Crackaxle Canyon.

I went on this ride 6/21/2016 with my husband who is not fond of roller coasters. He taught some kids a whole new vocabulary on that ride

This video does not do it justice. This thing is scary as heck and you feel like your head is going to get chopped off by the low bars. So fun though! When your at the top of the hill, your like..."mistakes were made"

I know! Lol my gf was like "see its a mini coaster there's little kids getting on it." but since I was in front of the building I could only see the small portion before the drop and when I was on it about to drop I thought omg my gf is an ahole!! But after the first 5 seconds I loved it. Terrified but awesome. Lol
She told me it didn't go fast you just ride through like those kid rides at the carnival and I believed it xD

When I was 10 years old, I watched this video thinking that the real thing would be the same, Wrong! I cried and was traumatized by this ride... Lesson learned never underestimate the power of roller coasters 😀

When I was like 10 or 11 years old, my dad tricked me to get on. I thought it was going to be a kiddie coaster and I was really hyped. It was our turn to get on and as we started moving to the top, I realized that it was not what I thought it was. I was really scared and I held onto my dad's hand as if my life depended on it. Everytime it went sideways, I felt like I was going to fall off! When it ended, my stomach felt really strange as if there were butterflies. My dad saw how shaken I was and apologized for tricking me. I ended up getting a toy after.
Lesson: Never trust your parents!

This and Thunderation at Silver Dollar City have to be two of the best Arrow mine train coasters.
FanOfVacuums2 this is actually one of the last arrow mine trains ever built :) a very fun and smooth ride
This has gotten a little bit ruff over the years though.
When I rode this thing it held my head down so hard I had neck pains the rest of the day.....

I LOVE THIS RIDE
I rode this one in 2013. It was very fun. It is located at Southern Crackaxle Canyon, built in 1997 next to The Rattler. Roadrunner Express used to be colored blue on the 1998 Map and silver on the map since 2009. Roadrunner Express is a 73 foot tall Arrow Dynamics Mine Train steel roller coaster. Based on Wile Coyote and Roadrunner from Looney Tunes.
This was my first roller coaster, I rode it when I was 5 or 6, I used to hate my parents for it. But now, I'm thankful, if they didn't, I would never have ridden my now favorite ride, The Texas Stingray at SeaWorld San Antonio. They did the same for my brother, he's 6 at the moment, but I don't think he'll ride another ride for a little while XDD he said words I didn't know he knew on this ride.
Now this is a coaster I could handle!

I went on this with my friend and omg I was praying during it bc I thought I was gonna fly out- I saw five year olds having a good time on this while I was holding on for dear life and I HATE heights so I just hung on and at one point I passed out for a split sec.I feel like I’m dramatic at that but tbh I rlly wasn’t at the same time.
People say this is a family coaster well it's not it is actually intense and on those bank turns you feel like it your going to fall off . It is an amazing ride though and I highly recommend it although you have been warned

I went on this ride with my sister and her friends and I was SCREAMING the whole time!!! I'm scared of heights and coasters but if I ever get to go back to Six Flags, without a doubt, I'm going back on! I'm just so happy I can finally say that I've been on a coaster! I remember while we were riding I was cussing and telling my BFF (a.k.a. my sister.) That I hated her. I apologized as soon as we got off and there weren't any hard feelings.

Fun ride! I convinced My 7 year old nephew to get on saying it was not a big coaster and doesn’t go upside down. But as soon as seen us going up that first drop he was saying no..no!! But he ended up loving the ride and got on it twice.
You are very correct. I have ridden this coaster WAY too many times. Its pretty smooth, although sometimes a little shakey. There are few if any laterals anywhere on the ride. I think the ride is actually, at least partially, heartlined. This coaster was built in the era that Arrow started experimenting with heartlining its rides.

This was my first roller coaster, My cousin convinced me to ride it but she promised she'll hold my hand super tight, so I got on and DBBDSNHSHSBSBDBDH It's SO Intense! I swear, just tell anyone that hasn't rode a rollercoaster yet, to not ride this as a first rollercoaster. I was screaming my head off.

I went on this ride yesterday and we got stuck on it for 10 whole minutes! It was freaky
i rode this ride last Saturday and had a kind of bad experience? my safety restraint wasn't even fastened and me, my friend, and some other people were trying to get the ride operator's attention but they instead started the coaster inside. i held on as tight as I could to my friend's restraint and luckily didn't die but me and another guy who tried to help me get the operator's attention went to hospitality and complained about the operator and his negligence and now I have free entry next time I come to Six Flags so idk if that's good or bad
ok, people ALWAYS do that on this ride, they lock the restraints! Every time I ride this there is always that one person who says, MY RESTRAINT ISN'T LOCKED the ride would not be able to start if the restraints were not all locked...

I remember that they didn’t check the safety bar when I went last year, but they were already checking my safety bar. Even tough they checked my safety bar, I felt the safety bar going up a bit. So I tried to fix the bar, but failed, and K held as tight. I tried to take off the safety bar, but I somehow couldn’t. But, I did when the ride was over.
At first i tought it was a train so i got in and ride it and like is a feeling that omg you fill like you dead !! But at the end its like it was fun 😂😂✋🏼
This ride is very wobbly
The transitions on this one seem to be pretty smooth unlike what you'd find on the earlier mine coasters from Arrow Dynamics.
Honestly, scariest ride. I went to six flags last month for a school band trip and this was the worst ride I went on. It’s not bad, i just wanted to puke. You would think drops or loops r the scariest part of rollercoasters, but nah, it’s when you twist. When your sideways on twisting around, your body is being forced into one side of the cart, you can feel each individual cart twist in a different direction, it’s scary as hell.
