Evrr since the fifties I loved his music. Now being 86 years I listen to his music every day. I met mr.Fats ywice. And I keep this moments in my mind forever. Thank you deeply mr.Fats.
Elvis called him the King of Rock 'n' Roll.
This hit from Fats Domino went to #15 on the Top 40 charts and to #17 on the Cash Box charts. It went to #2 on the Rhythm & Blues charts. It would finish at #82 for the year, 1961.

When I was a little 4 year old girl, Mr. Domino would play at my grandmother's night club, the Club Catherine, in Jackson, Ms. He would always ask me what I wanted to hear. It was always Blueberry Hill!!

La canción la escribieron Antoine "Fats" Domino Jr. y el trompetista David Louis "Dave" Bartholomew. La cedieron y primero la grabó Roy Brown (1957) y el 20-06-1961 la grabaron finalmente Fats y Dave con su conjunto en el Cosimo Recording Studio de New Orleans, para el LP homónimo del Gordo. Ese mismo año la grabaron en español Los Teen Tops, con Enrique Guzmán, claro, con el nombre de "Deja el sol brillar" para el LP TeenTops Vol. III.

Fats never really changed his style from the 50s. Who cared anyways as he never lost popularity and still sold tons of records. You don't hear this on mainstream oldies anymore as they cut gems like this from their playlists when they went corporate. Such a disservice.
Every year when Feb 26 rolls around I think of Fats as that is his birthday. A true legend.
