Nice video. I am surprised how almost no one has a first aid kit or "crash kit" in their bags. I went out riding and crashed. I almost broke a few ribs and was bleeding all over. The pain from the rib contusion lasted for 2 months. I sure wished I had something to stop bleeding and most importantly a few ibuprofens to stop the swelling and pain from my rib cage. I came home and prepared a crash kit for all my ride partners.
On my medium frame bikepacking bike, I run the Full Triangle bag. It is mostly filled with a 3 liter hydrations bag, tubes & dirty water bag. This means mounting water bottle cages on the fork legs. In the SW dry country I find a larger 2 liter gravity filter H2o system best for me. Many others do get by with the squeeze Sawer. Tip: if racing the AZTR or any multi-day ride in the desert, have enough water to walk out in case you break the bike beyond repair.
That’s a good tip with the 2032 battery. I started carrying a battery back up thing and a couple cables so I can charge my phone/light/ or bike computer if any of those die on the ride. May as well chuck in a 2032 battery Incase a sensor goes down too.
Usually a dozen eggs, my frame bag is the perfect size for a quick trip down to a road side farm stall that sells free range eggs. Though after the hassles of the bar bag today, it looks like I might use my frame bag to carry my drone.
Justin Bowes no, but I haven’t stuffed it to the max yet. Plus the grx cranks have a wider Q factor than the road stuff so that may help a bit as well. Also, I have been minding my thigh gap.

I put my spare tube in an old larger tube that I've cut to 8 to 10 inches.. it protects and compacts the spare tube.. Happy Trails...
Old tubes have so many uses!
Basically the same as what I carry but I also have a small powerbank in mine to charge any electronics that I’ve used longer than planned.

i have a seat pack right now, i want a frame bag for when i get my gravel bike for sure. great video
That is the papa bear of frame bags. I also Carry one of those pocket power batteries to boost phone and garmin
That Wolf Tooth tool looks awesome. I need to buy one. You need to get them as a sponsor if you haven't already.
I don't have them as a sponsor but they make some cool stuff!
Great job mate.
Those 2ml bike lube sachets are awesome... I wish wd40 would sell them - they'd be great for bikepacking.
Kerry with a bag that large I would add some sunblock and a little first aid (band aids, alcohol patches) - great video though.
Yep, I basically carry all this same stuff + a small tube of sunblock and a mini first aid kit
Part of a new series, “What I Kerry”. 🤔
Lol.
Jack is the king of laser handiwork. And he's never on the internet hahaha. Next time I see him I'll let him know you gave him a shoutout! ;)
Robb Korhonen please do! I miss Hinky!
Hi, what is the make & model of that ultralight raincoat you showed? Any website or link you can provide would be great. Thank you.
Extra pair brake pads, cleats and a pair of readers (for the elderly who can get into stores early now 👍)

Nice!
I finally found a farm in my area that sells eggs, I may have to try this!
Sherm: You want me on that wall. You need me on that wall!
I don't own a frame bag. But I do own a rusty crank bros. multi tool. Coincidents?
First! Was going to be getting a frame bag but getting hit by a car a few weeks ago delayed such a plan
And unfortunately you don't need a frame bag for zwifting, which is all the rage these days. Rest up and get well soon!
Why do u prefer 650b when the frames can fit big 700c tires now?
Just got a frame bag. Do you carry all of that (really not that much) on every ride?
Cheers. Thanks for the info
Nah, Just on the big ones or the ones when I am going to be pretty far out there.
The grey thing on your bars, is it bottle holder?
Mi I it’s just classified as a stem bag. I hold camera a GoPro in it for quick access.
Why not have the saddle bag under the saddle? Saves space in the frame bag for other items like a power bank or maybe more food.
I don't want to scratch up my dropper stanchion. I only have 70mm I want every mm to be silky smooth!
Kerry Werner ah good point, didn’t think about the dropper. Good video man, thank you.
Jorts FTW - are those Emily's, or Sherms?
casualrepartee Kerm’s! Haha
I saw Sherm and Forrest but who is that in the yard behind you?
That’s penny. She’s relatively new. She is also a dingus.
Why not put the seat bag on the seat?? More room for goodies in the main bag.
I don't want to mess up the stanchion on my dropper post.
Who makes the bottle holder on your bars? Sir, please?
Pro bike gear makes the one on the left and road runner bags makes the one on the right (bigger for my point and shoot).
@@KDubzDidWhat Thanks man , I have a Rove as well, be safe man , keep Vlogging!
Do you ever find that the bag rubs the inside of your legs?
Justin Bowes no, but I haven’t stuffed it to the max yet. Plus the grx cranks have a wider Q factor than the road stuff so that may help a bit as well. Also, I have been minding my thigh gap.
What are you carrying in your stem bag?
Camera?
@@adamsteineke4661 yep. I have my GoPro and some batteries in one and my sonya6000 in the other.
Kerry Werner good choice with the Sony! What lens do you use when on the bike?
Does your phone always go in a jersey pocket?
Usually I put it in the frame bag. It is easier to access.
It would be easier to tell "what's not in the frame bag" :)
Dont know 2 weeks now there been running around China with out me ups is slow
Handful of zip ties?
ChicagoClyde I got one and a ski strap!
@@KDubzDidWhat oh, THOSE zip ties... Ride on! Can’t wait to see you back racing! (And Bec, as well!)
so no dirty talk in bed
