Anders Friden did vocals for Dark Tranquility's debut album "Sky Dancer",
and Mikael Stanne did vocals for In Flames debut album "Lunar Strain".
Then they switched bands! Very interesting!

@Jachin Patlur I just found this out while looking up In Flames on Wikipedia and my mind is blown. Even though I'm American, I love nordic metal, and I love the Gothenburg scene. I knew Anders Fridén wasn't on their debut album Lunar Strain but never in my mind did I think it was Mikael Stanne, current lead singer for DT. And what really blew my mind was at the same time anders was playing for dark tranquility. Literally found this out maybe 10 mins ago so now im looking at all the really old albums. I've even heard this song before a long time ago but never crossed my mind it was anders because of how harsh his vocals were

Mikael Stanne was already in Dark Tranquillity on Skydancer, he was doing guitars and backing vocals. You can hear him in several songs, e.g. Through Ebony Archways and Shadow Duet.

Oooh boy you can really tell that Anders Friden was still very new to screaming here. Thankfully he improved before he did The Jester Race.

Its my favorite DT song. They have been producing music for so long that they have at least, if not a little more than 100 songs released to the public (I did a quick count based on albums, EPs, and the like) and of after all of it, for fuck's sake, ALL of it... I still just prefer this sound of the early DT where it started here. Next track, Crimson Winds is my second favorite for them. These songs are more golden than they will ever be credited for. I like where the band went in "progression" in some ways. I like The Gallery. I like Haven. Or, well, I like some songs from both. I honestly loved Damage Done because it had more songs which appealed to me rather than bored me and in my opinion that wasn't previously the case for any DT album. Skydancer and Damage Done are my absolute favorites from this band. Oh and there was that one cool song called "razor feever" on an EP I really liked. But now I'm nearly rambling.

I think DT were definitely at their best with Skydancer and Of Chaos, but I do love some of their later stuff. I think The Gallery is painfully overrated, but The Mind's I is sweet. Haven and Projector are both pretty good, and Damage Done and Character are both pretty killer imo. Other than that, they're very hit and miss.
I still like them, but they'll never hit this level of perfection again. And really, it's hard to expect anyone to build on top of something this fantastic.

I’ve been a Dark Tranquillity fan since Character released in 2005, & since then they’ve become my #1 favorite band today and I have to say there’s not a single song they’ve written/ released that wasn’t fantastic. Every album gets better while simultaneously retaining the key essence which makes a DT album magic to begin with. In terms of consistency of phenomenal albums/ true works or art they’re absolutely unmatched in their brilliance & ability

For sure, an underground swedish Record released by finnish Spinefarm back then. They already released their second Full album by the major french Osmose Prod.
In short terms, one of my faves along with early two first Edge of Sanity records.
