Columbia has the highest population of student Veterans. We are organized and appreciate the school very much. Overall we are treated EXTREMELY well here.

As a Cornell student I'd say this is not a bad song at all. I think the whole rivalry is pointless anyways. It should be New York vs the entire rest of the ivy league :)

@@charls.87 that’s a little misleading. Columbia was sent back to 18th from 2nd place after it was revealed that certain data presented was inaccurate… their 18th place ranking isn’t accurate and I can just about guarantee that Columbia will find its way into the top 5 next year

@@sstreakzzzz Your "presented inaccurately" was a cute way of saying they falsified data, which their own faculty called them out on. On to the top 5 next year, perhaps, and yes, Columbia is an outstanding institution despite. But that DOESN'T remove this stain. However, to claim as Dan V did that "Columbia is leagues ahead of Cornell" is laughable at best. And I'm saying this not as a Cornell alum.
I should have qualified that by; Columbia has the highest Vet population in the Ivy's.

@InspiredByDance99 I believe that the term, "Sons of Knickerbocker", is a reference to the state of New York's origins as a Dutch colony; There was even a book of tall tales, "Knickerbocker's A History of New York", by Washington Irving, published many years ago.

@boobtuber06 As an undergrad who knows Anthony personally and attended the town hall meeting, I can honestly say the incident was seriously overblown by the media. Out of the over 200 in attendance, about 10 jeered him. At least ten times more yelled back for being disrespectful. Anthony released a statement affirming his appreciation for Columbians for being more than willing for hearing his story and providing a friendly environment. I ask you do not antagonize the entire Columbia community.

I notice there are no pictures of Columbia football.
The thing that bothers me the most about this song is its geographic inaccuracy. Columbia is a block, a park, and a highway away from the Hudson Shore. But I guess "alma mater on the east side of Broadway" wouldn't have worked as well.

Just sayin, Charlie Tilford Endineering '68, MSAT '72, arrested in Fayerweather, Technology to the Revolution. I see Columbia finally did build the gym at Baker Field, told ya so back then.
If I'm not mistaken, Knickerbocker's were the nickname of NY's aristocracy back in the day. I'm from GA though and I don't start until this Fall, so what do I know?
No, Knickerbockers are the descendants of the dutch who were originally in New York City; it's essentially used to describe citizens of NYC
