since i grew up in Indonesia, you'd definitely hate the steaks in here. its SO thin!! because beef are expensive :(
why tf would you ever want thin steak
in NYC, you have both large steaks and small ones. Everything is so expensive here, so some restaurants need to make their steaks small, or else the restaurant would be losing money for every steak they serve
Most parts of the world have steaks that are barely thicker than a finger's width.

This is a quality of produce not a quantity of produce. Sure you can get 1Kg rump or rib-eyes but nothing like a marbled piece of aged meat to concentrate that meaty goodness flavour.

I love how close these three friends (yes, I know Gabie and Josh is a couple), and is sharing and eating off the same foods, it just shows how comfortable they are with one another... Mann, I need me some friends too 😔. haha.

@@Gruvmpy well the video is 3 years old, the first comment was 2 years ago and my comment was a year ago, so I'd guess it was that they wouldn't have been able to share food during the pandemic, if the restaurant was even open at the time during lock downs it'd have pretty big restrictions

Josh is so adorable in this video in particular. Haha. In the beginning of the video when they were selecting beef at the counter, Josh was like a small kid who has been set loose in a toy shop - "Ollie, look at this, Ollie look at that".
And ofcourse the face he made when he knew more food was coming when Ollie was appreciating him for not over ordering. 😂
Aussie eye fillet cooked blue is an absolute treat. Don't try it with the fattier cuts, but as a black Angus farmer you're missing out if you haven't tried it. Just make sure for food safety you cook it after one hour out of fridge on all edges as only they have the exposure to possible ecoli bacteria, thus rendering it safe and delicious.
Love it blue-ish, more to rare..but yes an absolute treat.

As an aussie all this food looks completely normal too me and it's hilarious watching them be amazed by it
in the UK, you can order a "steak dinner", finish it, and not feel full.
In Norway you have to pay 25 GBP for a steak half the sizes in this video Dx

@@AbiNomac I can get enough decent steaks for my family for about $20-30 ($28 tonight for Scotch Filet) beyond that I spend maybe $5-6 on salad/vegetables. Not that much money for a nice meal. More expensive than chicken but not much more

@@sahlieza88 for roo it needs to be a small to medium size doe (female) or a young male not a big old boomer (male) the big males stink and if the eastern states are like WA where the roo shooters are paid by the carcass weight they will shoot more of the big males
@@sahlieza88 Haha, I'm a Perth girl and by the sounds of it we have large roo male carcasses, but I've never really realised the smell. I don't have the meat as a steak though but I totally love it thin-sliced in my stir fries with Chinese greens+mushrooms, or steam-cooked with a bit of salt, pepper and of course, GINGER, now that's gold for any red meat to be steamed. But of course food tastes is personal so it really depends on individuals.What I can really say is that our appetite tends to change with time, so you might like it better as you get older. Good luck with overcoming the roo meat's smells (if you are still getting a go at it ^-^)!

In some places in Australia there are places (more or so pubs) that have $15 steak nights where you can get a thicc piece of steak, hot chips and salad with your choice of gravy 😍
Our local corner hotel does a $12 mushroom gravy porterhouse with the most amazing chips and salad every wednesday! so so good!

In Korea, they call it bucher's restaurant which is cheungyukjum sikdang. You can easliy find one anywhere in Korea, it just one way of having korean bbq.

유럽에서 할아버지들이 저렇게 남은 국물 빵에 싹 싹 발라 먹는데 칭찬이래요. 전에 제육볶음이랑 불고기 해서 10명정도 대접했는데 다먹고 빵으로 설거지 하시더라구요.

It’s 2 years since this video, and I know now may be a hard time for you guys. Anyway since you guys have been a source of my go to for some of my trying times, and in viewing your energy and your happy journeys, has made me happy as well. I was surprised by how expensive the meat was, I mean the stuff we have in NSW I could get all that for under $50 at the local butcher. But yes, we have an amazing culture of steak here, kinda scary ngl （⌒▽⌒）
