Richard doesn't kill it. He lays it to rest. He lays it down, respectfully, and gives it a proper funeral. He's not a violent man, but he has Johnny Vegas on speed dial, so do not push him. No pushing. No touching. Socially distance and admire from afar.
Love the perspective Great Britain has on us and our politics. Great lampooning and sardonic observations we don't see much in our media. I have heard too much of the evangelical woman's call for violence and her "speaking" in tongues.

That Paula White video could be edited into a few very risky videos, her holding a whip with Trump bent over in front of her. NAUGHTY NAUGHTY NAUGHTY TRUMP! Do the Police think they are in a Steven Segal film? HAHAHA! It's Cliff " " Richard!!! I laughed when Ian said, "Catch Crabs" during the Robotic Lobster question hahaha!

Maybe they knew Americans were tuning in for this one...! Or maybe they wanted to remind the audience of his credibility as a satirist of U.S. politics? I agree, though, that it is a strange omission!
I am not from the UK, but poppies are worn in remembrance of the World Wars. You always see them worn around this time of year. Through getting them, you donate money to veterans' associations. Somewhat controversial (supporting the military and as a somewhat mandatory sign of patriotism - some people faced retributions for not wearing them). Some people wear white poppies as a sign of peace, which is again controversial because it is seen as disrespectful towards World War veterans. Please correct me if I got it wrong :)
i love the opening telling the audience at home that the audience in the studio is virtual i really want to thank trump supporters america is now the laughing stock of the world
9:43 That's almost my favourite scenario. I don't want Biden to die early next year but to be told by his doctors that he's too old and frail to be president leaving Khamala Harris to take over. She does well, wins 2024 and this leads to a string of successful sensible female presidents thereby ending the domination of old white men. Could happen...
Biden's doing quite well, thanks. I won't miss Trump even when he's cold and dead. Our constitution is still intact, and the people decide elections, not whiny old age spoiled brats who can't handle rejection. Sometimes we have to hear "no" and deal with it. He's never accepted that. And how do you miss someone who's never gone away? He's like herpes!

Sorry, you may be alone there. Handling the whole non-segue Connery thing and the vacant Cliff Richard gumph was masterful. He does use a lot of meta-humour.
I see Richard Ayoade's in it, I watch the episode - it's that simple.
Amen
Exactly.
Love you.
We are simple people.
two weeks old news and idc because ayoade
Ayoade! The finest click bait on YT!
"Trump has a singing turtle."
I didn't know Mitch McConnell could sing.
I suspect a singing turtle would very much sound like Mitch McConnell's normal speaking voice.
The man... or maybe the thing... is full of surprises!
Richard was on fire! Love his humor. Thanks for the laughs.
I love the show, but Richard absolutely knocked it out of the park as the guest host.
100%. A sharp chap who brings a much needed levity.

Pretty ironic how they're all describing Trump's behavior post-Election, but BEFORE January 6th. Oh man, they hadn't seen ANYTHING yet!!

You should hear some of the people who play football for the Irish national team
Roisin is as Irish as Jimmy Carr, born in England to Irish parents.

I thought it was spelled "strait-jacket". Was that Farage's mistake, or Ayoade's, or the press'?

Give it a rest with the 'lefty' comments. The trending name for any opinions you don't agree with.
At least it is just a name given when you don't agree with opinions and not a riot.

Are right-wing comedians not allowed on the BBC?
nope they all seem to have taken up work in the cabinet instead
Are there any right-wingers with a self-deprecating sense of humor? Are there right-wingers with any sense of humor at all?
Well, comedians are expected to be a) funny and b) keen social observers so, no.
