Your heart and spirit needs to be aligned with Gods will also. Jesus will take the anxiety completely away. Keep your eyes focused on Him. When I was ready for Him to take it from me, I went to Him with tears in my eyes and a contrite heart, and Jesus delivered me completely and I had no remembrance for over a month that I had the 30 year+ habit.🙏🏻🕊
Satan just trying to pull you back. Doesn't want you free because when you're free, you'll be dangerous to him. I'm sure it doesn't make the fight any easier knowing that, but you still need to know it. I pray for God's warrior angels to surround and protect you. Blessings to you. I think one of the most beautiful and soothing phrases is when Jesus told the criminal that he would be in paradise with him that day. When my grandmother died, I remember my father telling me that she was in paradise with Jesus. When my dad died, those same words and the idea of being in paradise was a huge comfort for me. I try and remind those who are grieving of those words.
'I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you, so that we confidently say, the Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid, what shall man do to me?' Hebrews13:5,6 This has always comforted me when I am alone or sad. I will pray now for you too Dawn, hugs, smiles.

How do I deal with loss. My wife oassed away after 4 months in the hospital last year ...the holidays have been brutal on me and my kids Her birthday is coming up amd we are celebrating that but I'm still having a really hard time without her.

I have three bearded sons that hunt. They wear cami a lot. They’re just good ole southern guys like you all and I love it. They carry on with each other just like you guys too! They just lost their Dad to brain cancer sept 2019. We were married for 39 years. Since that time my youngest son was saved by the blood of Jesus and one more is on his way to finding Him also. I’m so thankful that they allowed their grief to find Christ. Now we all will be together again! I also have back problems. Three back surgeries and more in my future so I can relate Mr Phil! I think when a person is sick, they need to stay away from others. However, Al, sinus problems I don't think are catching. That is plain stuffiness due to allergies.
Reading together is SO POWERFUL! Look at 1Cor14:26ff. "each one has a psalm, has a teaching has a revelation, has a tongue has an interpretation' The tongue is a different language and is only spoken if there is an interpreter. And, this is IN the assembly. No preacher here, tho I know they have their place. We have elevated them too far, and need to get back to the example here. Use small groups so every man can read some scripture, participate? The women remain silent and in my case, take notes lol (laugh out loud) if they are not busy with kids or something. This is the WAY.
Oh Phil I sure do empathize with you back issues and chronic pain. I'm a retired now disabled nurse. I pray your surgery helps you and everything works out for the best. Our church fell apart several years ago when our pastor got arrested and put in prison for pedophilia. I still can't believe that spirit filled man, such an amazing pastor...the Holy Spirit was so present with us during our services. We all have a thorn in our side...but how sorry I am to think that is his thorn. I sure miss the fellowship, the messages, the family we were, and all the trust we had in each other. Esp. our ladies bible study group. Even got sober with the program held in our church. I get to talking and go on and on...sry. But I will be praying for you Phil in Jesus' name.
I love all you are going over around 24 minutes...reminds me of how hard it was with my sister that was raised in the Church of Christ. They would not allow her to be saved and baptized into their church because she was a bastard child. She would not listen to my testimony, my messages to her about salvation, the scriptures I read to her, sent to her in letters and emails, because she believed she had to jump through that church's hoops and laws that were made up by them. Finally they let her go through whatever system they had and she now feels like she is saved. I asked her the only important question, "Did you ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you?". She said she did, I hope so. She is developmentally delayed d/t being a fetal alcohol baby. She is frozen at the level of a 14 - 16 year old emotional and intellectual age. But she's smart in many ways. Unfortunately she also ended up copying our aunt's personality and is narcissistic and has other mental health issue. I would like to have prayer for her and her two teenaged children. One is very ill mentally and has turned away from God, is a self confessing atheist, gothic styled, gay since she hit her teen years. She has sociophathic tendencies, and has jailed for threatening to kill her mother and brother not long ago. I fear for them all, so I give them to God and I pray for them and for them to reach out to Jesus. It's hard to love folks that pretty much have cut you off that are family. But they are toxic to me. I have my own issues. Salvation not being a question with me. God came to me and led me through salvation because I was not being raised right...Thank you God for saving little ole me!

He claimed to be the Messiah several times throughout the Gospels. Messiah/Christ means “anointed one” and it was a title held by all kings of Israel, including Cyrus The Great. He never said “I am the king of the Jews,” verbatim, but in claiming the title of “Messiah,” can’t it be reasonably inferred that as king of a mostly Jewish country, that he’d be “king of the Jews?”
You brought up the thief on the cross that believed; he never was baptized in water and made it in. He died under the New Testament (the soldiers came to the thieves and they broke their legs but when they came to Jesus, he was already dead).
I love the gospels, but remember that Jesus taught in Matthew 4:4 to read the “red letters” and the black ones. All scripture turned out as He wanted it to.
