Yeah the movies are going to last longer than the restaurant they'll be like the Winn-Dixie's of yesteryear where people hear Winn-Dixie and they think the book not the store
@@9teenangelz yeah. As a kid in Seattle I only knew of the book. Then as a teen the grocery stores I worked at- QFC and Fred Meyer- were subsidiaries of Kroger, which I believe also owns Winn-Dixie, so I might've heard of it then. But then later when I joined the navy and got stationed in Florida, that was where I actually saw a Winn-Dixie for the first time when I was 20.
The opening scene of Inglorious Basterds of a conversation between the French farmer and German SS Colonel Hans Landa was actually in the original script meant to happen at Le Denny’s in rural France.
I love the "ban" deodorant placed facing the camera subtly in the bottom right, when he's saying "unless it's super obvious" is when it really shows up. Clever girl
I may be wrong but i think Red Apple cigarettes only exists within the cinematic universe that is contained within quentins works, ie kill bill/pulp fiction are movies that play in the world of characters from his other movies like resovoir dogs
I went to a film festival last month, and Tarantino was there promoting one of his protege's independent films. The very first scene took place in a Denny's. And i simply loved when the main character said "It's a-Dennin' Time!"
I love Denny's when we had them in Singapore. i used to hang around with friends every other weekends for late supper and stayed until the sunrise!!! NOW there are no more Denny's in Singapore :(( I am soooo sad....
"It could break the reality", he has a very special way of seeing things that it's amazing and make his films amazing too :). I too love the scenes with that kind of ambient in movies; Idk it makes them more real, natural and entertaining to me.

So Denny's said no to pulp fiction after reservoir dogs was released? Or I guess they refused pulp fiction before it was released, cuz or else they'd be insane
So true, in Inglorious Basterds, Hicox, along with Stiglitz and Wicki, goes to a Denny's in German-occupied northern France to meet with German film star Bridget von Hammersmark. And then in Django Unchained, I'm pretty sure when King and Django meet Candie to offer to buy Broomhilda, its at a Dennys. And then in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, there's a scene where Sharron Tate and Polanski attend a celebrity-filled party at again, a Denny's
Denny's is not a place you go to, it's a place you end up at.
That is an incredibly profound observation. Because as I think about it I've never gone to a Denny's but I have ended up there. 🤔
Or a place you left
It's the Tan car of restaurants
Only prostitutes and old people attend a Denny’s sober. Tell me I’m wrong I dare you.
😂 you’re not wrong 😂, I’ve never actually gone to a dennys, just somehow ended up there
I bet that place regrets not being in 2 of the most iconic movies ever made
Yeah the movies are going to last longer than the restaurant they'll be like the Winn-Dixie's of yesteryear where people hear Winn-Dixie and they think the book not the store

Definitely Pulp Fiction. Reservoir Dogs was a little slow for me.
The opening scene of Inglorious Basterds of a conversation between the French farmer and German SS Colonel Hans Landa was actually in the original script meant to happen at Le Denny’s in rural France.
He should have had a Young Harold Butler as an American Soldier involved in the film somehow. He was the founder of Denny’s.
Le Dennys lmao
It's spelled "Les' Denis" in france.
In the original script of hateful 8 it was all supposed to play out at Denny's Haberdashery.
I died
HAHAHAHAHHAA THE DEODORANT. My lord you gotta love Quentin
You definitely don't

Right? Hilarious!
When you're drunk and it's 2am your choices are Denny's or Taco Bell.
IHOP over dennys
Jack In the Box
Denny's isn't open at 2am
Hot take but white castle is better than both. Not gonna eat any of them on the regular but WC hit different sometimes.
@@stillnotchill2560Yep, I always thought that why their burgers are called sliders, to ripped to chew, no problem.
In hateful 8, Minnie’s haberdashery was supposed to be a Denny’s.
: ) best comment for sure
Dennys doesn’t even have peppermint sticks or brandy.
The Dennys in Ontario has a bar
Thats. IMPOSSIBLE. Dude !....its a. WESTERN....Dennys. WASN'T. AROUND. Then !....Duh
@Jarryd, now THAT was funny.
@Duane, I hope you’re not being dunce. He’s saying a joke.
Just him saying he wanted to shoot it at Denny's is the biggest advertisement Denny's has had in a long time
Quentin is nuts, but he’s the genius kind of nuts
First thing i thought of was red apple cigarettes 🤣 this guy created his own product and placed the hell out of it
And Big Kahuna Burger
@@AwakenedMan i think that's only present in his first two films. Red apple cigs are there in almost all of them

favorite producer of movies and writing!!
Dennys was the spot back in the 90s
Ball gags and gimp suit sales were at an all time high after Pulp fiction. 😄
The “Denny’s” scene in PULP FICTION was filmed at a restaurant in the city of Hawthorne. That place is now an AutoZone according to IMDB.
It was called the Hawthorne Grill. Miss that place

Those 2 opening diner scenes are so badass. Pulp Fiction was groundbreaking.
Josie and the Pussycats had so much product placing I still don't know what the movie was about. It was fun seeing all the ads
I love the box of Froot Brute on the table next to Lance in pulp fiction when Vincent calls him with an ODing Mia on the way
*Denny's stockholders slapping their knees*.

I respect Quentin's talkative and genius-like ways.
A dude that works overnight at a gas station down the street from my work talks with the same inflictions as this guy
Reservoir dogs was filmed at Pat and Lorraines on Eagle Rock blvd....in LA.
"In my early twenties"... He was 29 when Reservoir Dogs came out, and over 30 when Pulp came.
I hope this man never stops making cinema.
Denny's....missing the cool boat, for many many years!!!!😜
Super clever ad for Ban Deodorant 👏 👍🏼 👌
Greatest director ever
My local Dennys closed. Sad times
Denny's doesn't need to host a filming location to make money off the man. His appetite is all they need. 😎🔥
So subtle.. the stick of Ban deodorant just there on the table.... 😂
Denny’s owner right now:
☹️🔫
😅
Denny's refused because he didn't want the films to show the restaurant for what it is: a criminal hangout.
Back to the future franchise comes to mind
Imagine refusing to be in two of the most iconic movies ever made
How about some stomach crunches Quentin.
The Ban deodorant is a hilariously placed product.
Don't knock Denny's. When you are on the road and starving they have good wholesome food 24/7/365. Just not the healthiest.
Dennys: wow we fkd up
I find it funny that Denny's was like no to Tarantino
Shot out to Denny's for helping to inspire a genius.

False. Red Apple has been in a lot of his movies. There are rumors that he knows the owners and doesn't charge them for ad space
The BAN deodorant at the end 🤣😂🤣
He's extremely eccentric, but he really thinks out of the box. I like Dennis Tarantino.
this is brilliant
I like how the camera pans back at the end when he says product placement "becomes super obvious" and reveals a product placement...lol
Me and my friends play basketball for hours and somehow end up at Dennys at 3 AM

What interview is this from?
Big Kahuna burger with sprite
Lol the product placement

I wonder if this is why Breaking Bad uses Denny’s lol Gilligan is obviously a Tarantino fan.
Django unchained, scene where Django and Dr. Schultz are drinking beer, you guess it at a Denny’s.!!!
I don't notice it either...because in real life.. are you guys ready for this???
In real life, there are products everywhere
You don’t have to do that much for product placement in films because products are a constant part of peoples daily lives.
Quentin has the body of Roark Jr. ( The yellow guy ) on "Sin City". 😆
I feel the same about the Wilhelm scream
Still love the Tarantino cameos in old grindhouse films. Planet Terror being one of the greats by the Rodriquez brothers.
