The African Church has been called the Cradle of the Faith. It has been said that the Faith will be saved, preserved by the Church in Africa. Look at the Blood of the Martyrs being spilled there. And yet the Faith thrives. Look at the courage it takes to be Catholic, let alone a priest! Who of us can say, truthfully (rather than boastfully, or even hopefully), that we would have the same courageous Faith? Cardinal Sarah is a living Saint.
The irony is that traditionalists that do not like the NO liturgy will say exactly what you say, but clearly haven't seen the issues with the liturgical celebrations in Africa.

I totally understand your reaction to the Latin Mass. The silence, the beauty, the reverence and the sublimity of each Mass is almost palpable. The presence of God is, to me, undeniable. All communicated to the congregation through the actions of the priest. Very beautiful❤

There is just a beauty in pure reverence in the silence of the devotional worship that the Latin Mass offers; solemnity in the presence of God, humbling us, and raising our souls up to the angels and saints in worship. Benedictus Dominus! The English Mass (Novus Ordo) once started like that, before it was changed to be more protestant-like and focused a bit more on the people, rather than wholly on God and facing Him in our unworthiness, but hope and love for Him.
He actually was a public decenter against Pope Francis at one time. He signed a document accusing the pope of teaching heresy and left the church. He came back when he started studying the Magisterium and is working on his doctorate. It was eye opening when he discovered Constantinople IV Canon 21 automatically anathematizes anyone that accusing the pope of teaching heresy.

Brother, I cry each time I am in the Latin Mass. The Liturgy, the reverant Priest helping bring us to the witness of the sacrafice of our Lord at Calvary is awe inspiring. I cried during my first and only time at TLM - I didn't feel part of it in the way that I do in the NO Mass. It important for each of us to recognise that both forms of the Liturgy are pleasing to God. We have to stop making this a source of division as this is not pleasing to God. We should respect each other's feelings on this topic and work together in charity - if we are not able to to this then something is deeply wrong.

Most african priests are most excellent. Im glad theres 2 in my parish in Portugal. They are a wonderful blessing. The respect, the reverence and love with which they celebrate the Mass. We have the triple of people attending Mass now even on week days

I cry at mass, especially the Latin mass when receiving our Lord in the Holy Eucharist - I just let the tears flow and in my heart I repeat "I love you Jesus and thank you ". I use to ask in confession why I cry so much at mass and I am assured that it is healing. God Bless you 🙏

You must be going to a NO mass. Go to a TLM, very reverent before, during and after mass. Many come early to pray the rosary, many stay after to adore Jesus and pray. Quiet and reverent.

Amen. I am in tears, yet hopeful for our Roman Catholic Church. My soon to be 21 year old daughter is a Junior at Ave Maria University in Florida. She is overflowing with the faith, yet it breaks my heart that she is putting her heart and soul into her theology major to spread the Gospels and bring more people to Catholic faith, only for her to witness division at the very top of the Church which teaches her obedience. How does a young faithful mind process all this? I pray that I may do my best to guide her, and sharing this vlog with her, as your thoughts and words expressed allow for hope. As you said, we are STILL Catholics, that does not change, and to respect the office. I would add that what comes to my mind is discern teachings from Pope Francis and the current Curia. Keep the Gospels, the early teachings, and the Catechism as the guide and test. If anything out of Rome is not in line with the aforementioned, or is knowingly about man and in error with Christ teachings, then that which comes out of Rome should be ignored without fear of disobedience. @roundtable3501 I don't think that's mean. An honest question is an honest question, but I do sieve this is very different than the protestant schisms. My thought has always been, is it a clear and concise teaching of Christ? Jesus would never say or do anything that could lead one to more confusion or ambiguity. Jesus was always crystal clear. These days, there is so much ambiguity coming from. Rome, that is is difficult to discern what kind of teaching we are receiving. Also, even if Pope Francis starts telling us to jump off a cliff for the devil, I would not leave the Catholic church, but I would also not obey the Pope. Not obeying the Pope does NOT make one a schismatic, especially if the Pope is telling us to do something against God. Whereas the Protestants chose to leave the Catholic church, that made them schismatic. They should have remained as there is onlybone true church with one path to eternal Heaven, and that is the Roman Catholic Church, good or bad Pope, doesn't make a difference. So stay a Catholic, practice the Sacraments, especially confession, and receive the actual Body of Christ (true presence in the Eucharist) at the Mass, weekly. I will conclude my thoughts by adding a question. When was the last time you heard Pope Francis tell the followers that he and the Roman Curia are here to Shepherd us towards eternal life in Heaven through the Sacramaents? I honestly cannot say without digging something up. But I can tell you that Pope Francis reminds us about climate change nearly every time he speaks. He is meant to speak of the mystical and not of the man-made material, especially politics. So latch on to a Bishop and a good Priest, keep your head down, receive the Sacraments, and pray. That is what I am going to do, and I am not leaving nor am I schismatic. I am a faithful Roman Catholic that recognizes and respects the Roman Curia, but knows that I am not required to blindly follow ambiguous or ungodly instructions.

Yeah, and legitimate charitable criticisms of the pontificate are fine. That’s a bit different from a lot of the attacks that pope Francis gets online daily. Also though, cardinals such as the ones you mentioned can also charitably be criticized.
As a new convert to Catholicism and seeing this Pope behave the way he is behaving it is very discouraging. Then I watch your content and my courage is restored. I need to keep tabs on the things happening in Rome, but when it is all so antithetical to apostolic teachings, I don't know if I actually do need to pay any attention at all to the Pope and his shenanigans.

A great Cardinal not afraid to speak the truth. I saw him online first back in 2016. Had his picture on our canteen wall at work. We were blessed to have visiting African priests in our dioscese. Wonderful priests who were trained by Irish missionaries.
The books you mentioned by Cardinal Sarah sound very good; the parts you read inspiring. As far as the mask coming off, our Holy Father has hurled insults at Traditional Catholics, with comments like rigid and stop wearing grandma’s lace. This book is not surprising, but is unfortunate.

I cry at the blessing of the Eucharist at NO mass. The sacrifice of the mass is never not beautiful and moving.

Most african priests are most excellent. Im glad theres 2 in my parish in Portugal. They are a wonderful blessing. The respect, the reverence and love with which they celebrate the Mass. We have the triple of people attending Mass now even on week days

I don't know much about Michael Lofton, but he seems like an ardent pope-splainer, always against Traditional Catholicism and always excusing our current pontiff. I don't like his delivery. Am I wrong about him? 🤔
I cry at mass, especially the Latin mass when receiving our Lord in the Holy Eucharist - I just let the tears flow and in my heart I repeat "I love you Jesus and thank you ". I use to ask in confession why I cry so much at mass and I am assured that it is healing. God Bless you 🙏
The Traditional Latin Mass makes me weep too. Its indescribable except through the language of heartfelt tears.

You must be going to a NO mass. Go to a TLM, very reverent before, during and after mass. Many come early to pray the rosary, many stay after to adore Jesus and pray. Quiet and reverent.

Amen. I am in tears, yet hopeful for our Roman Catholic Church. My soon to be 21 year old daughter is a Junior at Ave Maria University in Florida. She is overflowing with the faith, yet it breaks my heart that she is putting her heart and soul into her theology major to spread the Gospels and bring more people to Catholic faith, only for her to witness division at the very top of the Church which teaches her obedience. How does a young faithful mind process all this? I pray that I may do my best to guide her, and sharing this vlog with her, as your thoughts and words expressed allow for hope. As you said, we are STILL Catholics, that does not change, and to respect the office. I would add that what comes to my mind is discern teachings from Pope Francis and the current Curia. Keep the Gospels, the early teachings, and the Catechism as the guide and test. If anything out of Rome is not in line with the aforementioned, or is knowingly about man and in error with Christ teachings, then that which comes out of Rome should be ignored without fear of disobedience.

Just a question not trying to be mean: but couldn’t someone falsely think Rome is teaching against Christ? Don’t we see this with all other groups such as Protestants, orthodox etc, who also say that Rome has always deviated from the faith?

@roundtable3501 I don't think that's mean. An honest question is an honest question, but I do sieve this is very different than the protestant schisms. My thought has always been, is it a clear and concise teaching of Christ? Jesus would never say or do anything that could lead one to more confusion or ambiguity. Jesus was always crystal clear. These days, there is so much ambiguity coming from. Rome, that is is difficult to discern what kind of teaching we are receiving.
Also, even if Pope Francis starts telling us to jump off a cliff for the devil, I would not leave the Catholic church, but I would also not obey the Pope. Not obeying the Pope does NOT make one a schismatic, especially if the Pope is telling us to do something against God. Whereas the Protestants chose to leave the Catholic church, that made them schismatic. They should have remained as there is onlybone true church with one path to eternal Heaven, and that is the Roman Catholic Church, good or bad Pope, doesn't make a difference.
So stay a Catholic, practice the Sacraments, especially confession, and receive the actual Body of Christ (true presence in the Eucharist) at the Mass, weekly. I will conclude my thoughts by adding a question. When was the last time you heard Pope Francis tell the followers that he and the Roman Curia are here to Shepherd us towards eternal life in Heaven through the Sacramaents? I honestly cannot say without digging something up. But I can tell you that Pope Francis reminds us about climate change nearly every time he speaks. He is meant to speak of the mystical and not of the man-made material, especially politics. So latch on to a Bishop and a good Priest, keep your head down, receive the Sacraments, and pray. That is what I am going to do, and I am not leaving nor am I schismatic. I am a faithful Roman Catholic that recognizes and respects the Roman Curia, but knows that I am not required to blindly follow ambiguous or ungodly instructions.
As an African Catholic l feel we are being marginized by the Meciful pope.first we were told we were "special " with same sex blessing and now is mocking our dear Cardinal Sarah. Dose anyone see where the Pope and Rome is heading to ? I am very very sadden by the treatment of Cardinal Sarah.

Yeah, and legitimate charitable criticisms of the pontificate are fine. That’s a bit different from a lot of the attacks that pope Francis gets online daily. Also though, cardinals such as the ones you mentioned can also charitably be criticized.
As a new convert to Catholicism and seeing this Pope behave the way he is behaving it is very discouraging. Then I watch your content and my courage is restored. I need to keep tabs on the things happening in Rome, but when it is all so antithetical to apostolic teachings, I don't know if I actually do need to pay any attention at all to the Pope and his shenanigans.

A great Cardinal not afraid to speak the truth. I saw him online first back in 2016. Had his picture on our canteen wall at work. We were blessed to have visiting African priests in our dioscese. Wonderful priests who were trained by Irish missionaries.
