Sofie's music is not Arabic, it is Turkish or Moroccan Berber. the Arabs never practiced sophistry. on the contrary, they hate sophias and concedes like unbelievers. Moreover, it is because of Arab Salafism carried away in the 90s that sophism almost disappeared in North Africa and in Turkey.

I am not muslim or anything! I do beleive in the Lord who created us and loves us so dearly. Whatever you call the name/names of them. But we can recognize love as it hits our very soul. I was drawn to sufis as a child. I had no idea what or who they were. I just knew I loved them so much. this particular piece of music is very mesmerizing-but in a good way. The internal spirit of us can recognize the love and peace it brings without a judgement. May God's grace rest upon each who seek the truth, which is already in us. It is merely the long road going WITHIN to find it. ~

Strangely (or not so strangely), I also feel some of the pain receding even as I type this. This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I hope I can visit Turkey someday to experience this space of meditative peace in person. The dance is "dancing" them. I have had this experience only a few precious times in my life - when your conscious awareness is devoid of volition and you see yourself dancing as if from the outside. A form of ecstatic dance movement that helps us transcend our "selves". It is humbling. There are examples of it in one form or another in most cultures throughout history. Sublime. So thankful I found this video.

Bliss. When i was a child i loved to spin with my arms out and my eyes closed till i naturally got dizzy and fell down. Then i discovered the spinning circle thing at a lot of small city parks where someone pushes you on it. Gosh! I loved that feeling as i layed with my head near the middle and on my back looking up to the sky. My first natural high. If i did it today, i would probably seriously hurt myself. If we could only time travel...😊

Back in the '80s, I learned a 'modified' version of 'put your toes around a nail in the floor and lubricate the wound'; eventually, I could do an hour and a half in each direction, back to back. I think that qualified me as the 'doorman in the club', so to speak. I've been looking for this for twenty years. ThankyouThankyouThankyou

The Mevlevi order, the "whirling dervishes", was founded in Turkey by followers of the Persian mystic, Rumi. It later spread to other parts of the Ottoman Empire, including Arabic-speaking regions. The most active group of dervishes, currently, is based in Istanbul, Turkey, and includes women. I'm not aware of any dervishes in Arabic countries, now, and, if there are any, I doubt that they have women members. Still, the music is hypnotic and relaxing. So, the title of the video doesn't entirely miss the mark.

Hearing also classical Indian music from time to time I believe there's an influence between Arabic music and Indian music, love to all world citizens who want to live in peace and respect towards each other ❤: Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews and more,. Ukrainians and Russians, Palestinians and Israeli people, forget about all hatred we are here to love each other and respect each other. I am crestin ortodox ,but this dont stop me to apreciate what is really beautiful from every culture or religion .My God or Creator is yours too , or the other way around , we all have the same Creator , some of us try to approach the Creator though difrent methods .For ordox exist Isihasmul, which is a pray to God from the heart,i consider this form of dance a meditation form which can put you in trance get close to the Creator as others try to do same thing trought difrent forms of practices .Maybe we should all pray for peace and stop harming each other sometimes in the name of the Creator for simple reasons we are all one .Nowadays, science is pretty advanced, but still has no answers to many questions .Are there so many mysteres left behind by our ancestors and when since people from now days try to explain them ,they strat with scraching them heads .
Gretings to all , we all should try to enjoy life and beautiful things around us as long we still have acces to them .

I once watched a bunch of Arab men dance and the auditorium was filled with B.O. Bad B.O. it cleared the room. I can’t help thinking that it accidentally on purpose and they didn’t want anyone, particularly Americans, to be in anyway part of their experience.

My boss told once that i have exlectic tastes. Dunno much abt that, but i have cds for my car of music like this. Many are foreign.
Man was created to worship. And all that worship was by choice to worship Him, God, back. Spirit filled christians do all the time. The key is holy spirit inspired. You may see people laughing, dancing, weeping, falling out on the floor, speaking in a heavenly language. Ive heard people speak in someones own tongue.

Even from a Christian view it is very beautiful. The resurrection of Issa (Christ) Himself moving in love for the Father, bringing love from Him with His right hand, and pass on to us with the left. With the tombstone on His head, still wearing His shroud, He dance the final triumph of love over death and tell us that nothing can defeat the love of Allah (God )

This is Sama dance, the primary Persian dance. The dancer dates back to thusand of years ago where the dancer mimics the spnning of planet earth round the sun. It has nothing to do with arabs, turks or islam.

How in the world is it possible these dancers are able to spin for such long periods of time like this???
At first I believed this was footage 😮of the Sumi dancers repeating on a loop, however after noticing the members of the audience were moving slightly in their seats and casually having short conversation, I realized the dancers are indeed NOT on a clip they have actually been standing in the same spot, eye closed, spinning n spinning n spinning!
It’s like they’re in a trance or something! My goodness this takes some serious discipline and dedication! I commend their performance, hats off! Standing ovation throwing roses!
(If I’m wrong plz let me know, with a valid information, not educated guess, so I don’t continue looking like an idiot lol)
