Run some White lighting Epic Ride for bikes through the cables. Won't collect dirt or debry it's a silicone waxy paste works great I had to use it on kswap cables. No problems 4 yrs now no problem I'm in Arizona the dirtiest hottest climate. Should work wonders for you and your area🤙

I have the same cables on my k24a2 6-speed swapped integra. Out the box I did have to drill out one of the "eyes" of the end piece that goes into the selector. But otherwise its a great set of cables that has held up well. Even after one got bbq'd by my open header lol. I ended up using the Ktuned shifter mounting kit to mount shifter under the car in the tunnel, and run cables underneath so no cutting. I did find the aluminum plate of the ktuned kit a bit flimsy for my taste and I may end up fabbing and welding one underneath out of plate steel.
I heard the oem k shifter cable are the best, great content

i had those race cables and they are ehhh at best. at 1st i had no 2,4,6 gears. had to remove a nut to be able to adjust the cable to have the gears work. instantly went and got some OEM cables with new bushing in them to fix that junk.

Probably should check the tranny if 2nd is messed up it’s a common K series tranny problem it gets warn out over time probably
Test 2nd without cables and have friend select it manually

I'm running hybrid racing cables in my 8th gen si and I definitely know what that sticky feeling feels like. Feels like it's not fully in gear and requires more force. It's like that for my 5th gear and reverse as well. Not sure why, but it's much worse/noticeable when the engine/trans is cold and not as bad once the engine is in normal operating temps, but still noticeable nonetheless.

Do you think it is the cables actually warming up and freeing up from heat?
@@TheCarnager it can be seeing that the cables are steel wire though enclosed in a thick rubber. Not too sure though.
@@jimmyyking run some white lighting epic ride through the cables I guarantee it'll solve your problem doesn't contain petroleum products. It's used for BMX/mountain bikes shit works wonders 4years now and never had to re lube them doesn't build up dirt or debry. Like I was telling Dana I'm in Arizona where it gets 110-120° and just desert so alot of dirt. I use that stuff on my BMX bikes and I don't even have to wipe that shit down over time. Look into bud I was having the same problems but with ktuned cables
