BETTY BUCKLEY as the Witch INTO THE WOODS (Audio)

Second workshop of "Into the Woods," June 1986, with Betty Buckley as the Witch, along with Joanna Gleason (Baker's Wife), Ray Gill (Baker), Robert Sean Leonard (Jack), and Barbara Byrne (Jack's Mother). The surviving recording features only the first act; Buckley's Witch has practically no singing, just the opening "rap" and a couple of lines with the ensemble in the Act One finale. "Into the Woods" would go on to have its world premiere at the Old Globe in December 1986 (with Ellen Foley as the Witch).
