Khairabera:-
The enchanting Khairabera is popular for the Khairabera Dam and a huge water reservoir. With a length of 372 m and a height of almost 21 m, the dam built across the Subarnarekha Basin is an irrigation dam amidst hills and forests at Baghmundi, about 70 km away from Purulia town. This dam was completed in the year 1989 by the I&W Dept., West Bengal Government. Owing to its exquisite natural beauty, Khairabera has been developed as an attractive tourist spot.
The place has a vast water body, with crystal-clear water at the foothills of Chamta Buru of the Ajodhya range. It is this water body or lake across which the dam is built. The water from the Machhkanda Falls meanders through the hills and enters the lake, creating a spectacle. It is an ideal setting for sitting by the shores of the lake and staring at the soft ripples made by the wind or taking a stroll on the banks.
Eco Adventure Resorts
The most obvious choice of stay for anyone visiting Khairabera is the Eco Adventure Resorts. Developed on the banks of the Khairabera Lake, this resort incorporates the natural beauty that Khairabera is, with the hills as the backdrop and the tranquil lake in front, creating a mesmerising ambience. The soft velvety lawn, the cooing of the cuckoo and the red bloom of the palash add to the intoxication.
The resort is augmented by five luxurious tents and three ambient cottages, a dining hall and office blocks.
The tents are for the adventurous brave-hearts. While the super delux tents portray an old-world charm with their beautifully carved double bed, a cozy seating area and a tastefully done dining area for two along with an attached bathroom with modern amenities, the other tents exhibiting relatively less flamboyance, nevertheless make for a worthwhile stay.
The cottages, on the other hand, are meant for those looking for a conventional accommodation. Both the tents and the cottages are very tastefully done up, keeping in mind the profile of the guests, to give them a superior experience for the time spent in the resort. The open verandahs of the cottages make way for a picturesque scene with the beautiful lake in front surrounded by hills. We sat there for hours together luxuriating in the fresh air as much as we could.

Khub High Rate dada
Visited few days ago. First the plusses.
1. Great scenic and serene location surrounded by Ajodhya hills on three sides and the water reservoir and dam on the other side.
2. Lush green lawns and gardens with chicks, ducks, peacocks and emus roaming around.
3. Nice and tasty Bengali cuisine.
The minuses.
1. Accessibilty-nearest airport Ranchi is 3 hours drive. Nearest railway stations of Puruliya/Balarampur/Muri 1 and half hours drive. Last 6 km of approach road horribly bumpy, dusty and too narrow.
2. A hotel or resort's first impression comes from its reception and lobby. This one has neither of them. Only a small room serving as reception. The office building is shabby. Even considering the restrictions in making further constructions as it is in a tribal area and has govt. regulations, it could have been much better.
3. The tent fabrics have not been changed since its inception some 15 years ago. Dust in corners, we even found spiders. No provision of outside air or sunlight in the tents. Damp inside.
4. Rooms and tents don't have any tv or wi fi availability. There is only one public tv in a small common room which is poorly maintained. Visited during world cup football but could not watch the matches.
5. Staff unprofessional. Making unnecessary noises and shouting.
6. The activities as advertised in website are mostly unavailable.
7. Very few options in breakfast.
The tariff of 8000/- to 11000/- they are presently charging is extremely high. Given the services offered and facilities available it should not be more than 4000/- to 6000/-. But considering the remote location and having to function under govt. restrictions the appropriate tariff should be 5000/- to 8000/-. At the present tariff there are many other much better places to visit. I won't advise anybody to shell out so much in it.

দেখতে এবং শুনতে খুব ভালো লাগে কিন্তু একেবারে বিত্তশালী দের জায়গা। প্রতিদিন থাকতে গেলে জন প্রতি খরচ 3 থেকে 4 হাজার টাকা। মূলত ফ্লিম ইন্ডাস্ট্রির লোকেরা আর অগাধ পয়সা সম্পন্ন মানুষেরা যায়।
কম খরচে অযোধ্যা ইউৎ হোস্টেলে থেকে খায়রাবেড়া ঘুরে আসুন, আশা করি ভালো লাগবে ।
@@RajibReflection বয়স ষাট ছুঁতে চলেছে। অযোধ্যা পাহাড় যাচ্ছি 1984 সাল থেকে। বুদ্ধ পূর্ণিমা তে সুবোধ দা অযোধ্যা চিনিয়েছিলেন।। সুবোধ দা আমাদের নিয়ে গ্রামবাসী দের ঘরে থাকতেন। শিকার উৎসব ভালো লাগতো না ঠিকই কিন্তু সেই মাদকতা কে ভুলতেও পারতাম না। যার জন্য পরের বছর এবং আরো কতো বছর। এখন আর মনে নেই
