I had an 08 gs350 awd lowered on d2 coilovers. The axels are shorter on the awd models that’s why we get vibrations when lowered. U can make a set of quarter inch lower motor mount spacers it helps but doesn’t get ride of all vibrations.
Got it thanks for the information. So far I don’t have any vibrations 2 months in and still good. I only lowered it by an inch but also went with a 18” wheel maybe that’s why it doesn’t vibrate not sure but car is good no vibrations at all.
That’s good. It definitely helps not having an aggressive drop. Before getting ride of my 3GS I adjusted the coils to mild drop it helped so much. Honestly after the experience I’m scared to lower my 4gs 😂
Got it… yes I was scared too but I only decided to go that route after the stock suspension started to leak. If I ever do run into issues I will post them. So far she so solid.
I lowered mine a year later back to stock. It rides way better stock. Vibration only gets worse and ride was horrible. These cars look good lowered but the AWD versions do not take well to being lowered. I had BC Racing AWD coilovers btw.
@@Sooflojoe got it it’s such a shame since like you said they look good lowered. As far as vibration I have been blessed so far very slight vibration from a dead stop for about a second of two. Before I go back stock I might try HKS coilovers as someone else had suggested.
Much appreciate it bro. Yes I went with Tru Hart coilovers street/track, they are honestly not bad smooth on the hwys. Ride is ofcourse slightly stiffer than before but handling has improved tremendously. I can take corners at much more higher speeds and car is planted to the ground. This cars are notorious for vibration while lowered from what I hear from other ppl but mine does not do that. Maybe is because I only lowered it by an inch.
The lowering problem affects only the AWD platform, BUT mine does not vibrate. Reason I made the video to explain maybe what I did right not to vibrate. Mine is only lowered an inch maybe an inch and a half give and take. Car is smooth no vibrations.
I actually got them from Amazon ( Capitauto ) but I made sure I placed year and make model. Yes at first I didn’t like them the first week but they settled down well with the shape of the original seat. I might get the rear soon.
Maybe I am missing something but it stays right in the middle. Will drive it to work tomorrow and monitor but I have yet to see the needle go past the middle.
@@GroupBEJ25 Yeah, mine always stays at the middle, thats why I noticed it. You should check your coolant levels, if it is low then it is probably leaking coolant and a blown head gasket.
@@pasm8917 yea dude nothing wrong with my car. Normal operating temperature I get it if goes above the middle but that’s where it staying. Coolant level is good as well no weird smells either such as coolant leaks etc. Just drove it on heavy traffic with AC on no issues.
Much appreciate it. It’s an Ikon Motorsports VTX style, got it from Amazon, it comes black but had it painted matched locally. Wheels are from a 2015+ Subaru WRX STi, unfortunately they do not clear hub so I had to get some work done to make them clear the hub. Don’t necessarily recommend it but I wanted an oem + look on the car.
Actually I did at the shop that installed the coil overs. It’s just that the coil overs I have can be used for track/ street use. She is not smooth like butter like the stock suspension but not that bad for coils either.

@@alvarohernandez4225 lol I don’t blame you. I contemplated on lowering mine for a while till I gained the courage.

I like the look. I have awd so i am afraid to lower it at all and end up having to fix any suspension stuff.

Looks great bro, what coilovers are you on right now? How’s the ride quality compare to OEM? Planning to lower my AWD GS just want some opinions.

@@GroupBEJ25Thanks for the input bro! Yea I’ve been debating on whether I’m either getting BCs or Tru Harts. Maybe I’ll give the Tru Harts a try.
I lowered my RWD 2008 GS350 2inch on bc coilover sitting on 20s no Problem at all. Might be your wheel since you made them fit

Where are your seat covers from, they look like they fit nicely

Hey. Are you looking at your car temperature gauge. It's very high. You might have a blown head gasket or overheating transmission.

Hi
U mentioned u had oil burning issue in ur gs350. How did u fix and how did go after that??
Thanks
I hope u r enjoying a good summer with ur GS.
Replace the PVC valve
Did you try balancing your tires with road force? maybe that'll make the ride smoother.
