I embraced a raw vegan diet in 2013. I thought it would be the ticket to healing. Two years of eating this way was the worst thing I could do for myself. I’m going carnivore. Salads were my favorite meals. But I can’t tolerate any fiber. So meats it will be. So healing. The more fat I incorporate into my diet the less I crave carbs. It’s working

I recently started adding in some well soaked white rice but I think I’m going to cut it out. I have to disagree with the vegetable suggestion unless they are cooked I’ve noticed. I’m eating a little salad from my own garden but I do best with meat, sat fat and fruit.

I have Lyme Arthritis which could have been treated early. Even though I complained to my nurse practitioner that I felt sick like the first time I had Lyme disease years ago; she clamed up and said nothing. I came in to see her again and repeated what I said before about feeling sick and she got quiet again. The first time I had Lyme it was in my muscles, this time it was in my joints, But didn't know that you could get it in your joints, so I though I had two problems going on. I was told that I had osteoarthritis. I went almost 5 months of excruciating pain until through my research on line, I found Lyme Arthritis. I demanded test and it was positive. They set me up with an appointment for treatment the next month; that is when I exploded and demanded to see someone else and pronto! I did get someone else who did treat me. This is the second time that a doctor or nurse practitioner didn't treat me for Lyme. It's obvious that I was being used as a lab animal. Other people I've met have said the same. Now I'm left with hip joints which seem to be getting worst.

I heard from my Lyme doctor not to say Lyme in a doctor’s office or hospital because they will turn their backs on you, and I’ve witnessed it firsthand! Same with mold! Doctors don’t learn about these in ned school, so they are ignorant of the facts. This is ridiculous! I found out I have had Lyme since childhood, and I’m 68 now with other and worse symptoms. I can hardly move because I hurt so bad and the stiffness and leg pain have been an issue since childhood. Very few people understand these horrible experiences!

I really like the outdoor view/backdrop from your left side camera. I think it’s important because I just got Lyme two months ago and in my head I have a new love/hate/fear complex of the outdoors that I have NEVER had before in my life.
I have worked outdoors for many years and love being outside, but Lyme is new to this area and I didn’t know it was here. I have a dog and don’t have a clothes dryer in my apartment so I am very anxious about ticks both inside and outside my home. I am being very careful about checking for ticks but I don’t have the same happy love for the outdoors that l used to have. It’s a big loss.
Having said that, I appreciate that you show the outdoors in a way that says to me “Live and learn, be more careful, but don’t hide from life.” Thanks for all you videos!

I just found out I have Lyme infections, and I’m a gardener. I also have a new fear of the garden now!
I saw that on You Tube, there are things you Dan do to prevent ticks from being in your backyard. I know you have an apartment, but there may be some info you could use. I also have a book about colloidal silver and how you can make a spray with it to spray on your dig when he/she comes in. Might want to look it up. Apparently, this kills ticks. I’m going to keep my dog cut, so I can see anything on him. 💕

Moderation is key for everything. As long as you are maintaining a balance and it has been working well for you, you should be fine. Only assess if you can't find the source of what's causing you flares or symptoms.

if could afford to could change my diet I would. if I had the attention span and coginitive ability to budget, price search, coupon cutting. I become overstimulated my shopping centers and online markets. i cant stand the sheer amount of choices and manipulative business practices designed to dupe me into paying more. you don understand ho difficult having Lyme, Asperger's, anxiety, and bipolar with an intolerance to ALL psychiatric medications. I'm probably going to starve myself before all of my room mates move out. I am severely disabled and everyone acts like money and cognition aren't factors. I wish that I had a residential program to go to.

6 minutes, and just a nice "try this". Not these long lists of things that would probably work in the long run, yes, but UN-realistic for the average person. I don't have a personal chef, nor an exhaustive list of grocery items available from my chain grocery store.

I don't think you have to go full keto. My most important dietary guidelines are: eat mostly whole foods, eat more vegetables than anything else, and keep your carb limit below 150 grams/day (depending on your activity level).
