Ingleborough, Yorkshire Dales, UK

Ingleborough is one of the peaks in the Yorkshire Dales. The height of Ingleborough is 723 metres, making it the second highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales, nearby Whernside is the highest at 736 metres. These two mountains, along with Pen-y-ghent, form the Yorkshire Three Peaks walk challenge which is a 24 mile walk to be completed in 12 hours. This is usually done as a charity event to help raise funds for good causes but of course can also be done as a personal challenge. The views from the top are quite amazing, with the nearby Ribbleshead Viaduct visible, and many other mountain peaks can be viewed. The furthest viable peak is an astonishing 103 miles away in Snowdonia North Wales.

I live in Yorkshire, but strangely have never climbed Ingleborough. I have learned a lot from this excellent video and will try this walk soon.
