I cant listen to this song without crying. I have literally played it 5 times this morning and cry every time. This is how it was in the 90's in a small town. Your town was the whole world to you at that time. Friday night football games, pep rallies, cruising the back roads to the parties, 4 wheeling the hills and fields, literally living for Friday. Its not like that anymore and todays kids will never understand the freedom we had back then. Knowing we will never get that back hurts so much.

I'm not a fan of the newer pop country style. I much prefer country music of the early 2000s and back over the new stuff. I do enjoy some of the new country that has that old timey feel but this song gives me hope that country music isn't on the fast track to permanently being a bunch of generic, regurgitated pop garbage all about beer, mud, trucks, and tight shorts and nothing else.
