growing up as a violinist, this just completely provokes my soul. love all of Alynda's music. She's incredible at putting her emotions into music. I LOVE her. The fiddleplayer in all of her songs just makes that fiddle cry. I love it because violin, cello, viola, bass cello are the only instruments that can really release emotion through their sound. Evokes so much emotion.
Pattie Pollan Alynda is so underrated as a song writer and lyricist. Everything she says is so strong and ripe with honesty. A true example of how good music aint nowhere close to being dead.
Beautiful music.. such amazing talent.. she is so amazingly grounded.. so glad to see the first big talent that isn't full of herself.. she is purely authentic.. very rare.
I am ashamed of my self!!!..Today is the firs time i have heard this band!!..Its like old soul country for the younger generation. Fantastic!!..This girls voice is so soft and sweet but like razor blades on the heart..I LOVE IT!!!!
Great song. The voice from Alynda - and the kind of singing - remembers me for an Lady/ Singer/Songwriter called Melanie - long, time ago. But THIS is a modern way - good luck - and Hurray :-)
Something's wrong that my heart can't fix I got stuck in this big old ditch Try to climb my way out this hole Singing something's wrong I just can't control Forty nights and forty days Some survive some just washed away And we listen to those church bells toll Singing something's wrong we just can't control But cheer up brother, don't you cry We'll understand it all in the by and by I hear the shots ring out and it hurts my soul Singing something's wrong we just can't control Oh something's wrong and I'm feeling strange Nothing seems to be the same And we hear that white muddy river flow Singing something's wrong we just can't control
Oh my god Oh my god. Oh my GGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. You people are like the soundtrack of my soul. THANK.YOU.
I imagine the purists out there will hate the fact that this song, written and recorded for the first time in 2012, is featured (being played live) in Quarry which is set in 1972!
"'Cheer up brother, don't you cry, we'll understand it all in the by and by"
