When I was watching Rebels and saw Maul die I shed a tear. The last thing he said to Kenobi was great and the fact that Kenobi closed Maul's eyes grieving over his death. Maul didn't die for nothing as his greatest wish was accomplished by Luke as he destroyed the Sith. Darth Maul could rest in peace.

Half of the mandalorians joined Maul after he successfully took them over. I believe because of the events of order 66 the remaining of the other half then joined the sith and the people that didn’t want too were killed.
That last battle between Obi Wan And Darth Maul May not have been the most exciting or flashy but it was really great confrontation story wise Obi Wan at first didn’t want to fight Maul, and only did so because he had to protect Luke. And we also see Obi Wan change his stance to Qui Gon stance. And Maul tries to use the same technique he used to kill Qui Gon. But Obi Wan is ready for it and wants to end the fight quickly not wanting Maul to suffer anymore as a tortured animal. And what does Obi Wan do to the person who killed his Master and his Love? He closes his eyes finally ending the fight that started 30 years ago.
It was Kenobi sort of verifying himself as the best example of what a Jedi should strive to be, Maul took so much away from him and was going to do the same to Luke and even after his death Obi Wan payed his respects towards him. Truly one with the force.
I'm not sure if it's Qui-Gon's stance or his more defensive stance from Ep. 4. I've heard it both ways but showing him going from his aggressive Clone Wars/Ep. 3 stance to his Ep. 4 defensive stance really shows how much he's changed as a character since RotS.

The Maul and Ben Kenobi fight was one of the best fights in the whole series. No big flips or long fighting, just sizing each other up, feinting their stances, and then final blow. The battle was over mentally before they even clashed blades
I still love the balls they had to put Maul in Solo, just makes all of this feel more grounded to the films and the canon. This character has one of the greatest arcs.

In the original plan script (before Disney), Maul knew that by dueling Obiwan, he would die. But to Maul, it seemed a fitting end for himself, as he found the guilt of the death of his brother, and haunting by Sidious simply too overbearing. The spot that he met Obiwan was supposedly not too far from where he first dueled with Quigon Jin for the first time in Episode 1. He was also injured from the fight against the Inquisitor, and had more wrinkles and scars of ages, and knew even though Obiwan is now old and frail, he wouldn't be able to overpower his former adversary. But he refused to die any other way, but be brought down by the life-long adversary. He knew that his end was to be at Tatooine, ironically, in the Star Wars Universe, where it all begain, yet agian

Maul has such a detailed character development. He is neither a hero nor a villain, he hates both the jedi and the sith. He has his own way with things and he is the one who predicted Anakin's fall to the dark side.
Maul is great in terms of strategy and power. I mean when he faces Palpatine, he actually shows that he is the better dualist. He loses due to Palpatines control of the force. He fails because it isn't his story. Really a shame.

One thing I love about Darth Maul’s death is that Maul tried to kill obi wan the same way he did with Qui gon.
By hitting him in the head with the handle and it’s like obi wan is ready for it.

This man is more so a victim than a villain, that’s what makes his character so great

Such an amazing Legacy to such a interesting and enjoyable villain in Star Wars Disney Lore.
Truly somebody to fear and distrust, but honour for his own legacy that he created from his own cruel and painful past and how in the end, he was granted his last wish of earning vengeance against those who had taken everything he had once held close to his heart.

They did a really good job on the design.
In the original plan script (before Disney), Maul knew that by dueling Obiwan, he would die. But to Maul, it seemed a fitting end for himself, as he found the guilt of the death of his brother, and haunting by Sidious simply too overbearing. The spot that he met Obiwan was supposedly not too far from where he first dueled with Quigon Jin for the first time in Episode 1. He was also injured from the fight against the Inquisitor, and had more wrinkles and scars of ages, and knew even though Obiwan is now old and frail, he wouldn't be able to overpower his former adversary. But he refused to die any other way, but be brought down by the life-long adversary. He knew that his end was to be at Tatooine, ironically, in the Star Wars Universe, where it all begain, yet agian

Maul has such a detailed character development. He is neither a hero nor a villain, he hates both the jedi and the sith. He has his own way with things and he is the one who predicted Anakin's fall to the dark side.
I luved the clone wars animated series when he was found by his brother only to both be defeated by sidius which actually made me quite sad

Maul is great in terms of strategy and power. I mean when he faces Palpatine, he actually shows that he is the better dualist. He loses due to Palpatines control of the force. He fails because it isn't his story. Really a shame.
