Loved the video, man. Just discovered your channel. I’m friends with John Malahy, who shared this video with me. I’m a designer too. I work in UX now, but I went to school for Graphic design . So I really enjoyed all of your insights on packaging and print design. I’m also a big fan of childhood cinema, fairy tales, coming of age, etc. So really appreciated your perspective on that as well. Incredible haul, man. Enjoy the films!
Did you not get the Akerman set, Jeanne Dielman is in that along with her other major work. Ali Fear eats the Soul is an homage to Douglas Sirks films.
I’m buying vinyl a few years now and really enjoying physical media concept for a music. I’m also watching a lot of movies. Now started thinking about Criterion dvd collecting. The problem is, if you have a physical music library, you actually can listen same albums every day. Then even your favourite movies you maybe watch once a year. After all you have collection of movies and don’t really use it often. What are you thinking?

Yo! Good to meet you, I’ve seen some of your videos! Thanks for the kind words and sounds like we have a lot in common.
Oh and how cool that you know John! We go all the way back to cinema studies at Tisch.
enjoy all your insights into the design of everything. super cool perspective to hear from.
Appreciate it and glad to hear.
Loved this video! Very interesting listening to your knowledge 👍🏻
Thanks so much!
awesome video, you should totally do a whole criterion collection video showing off all your criterions, could watch you talk about movies for hours
Aw thanks!
Had to re-upload as the first version was cut short!
Next time I won't use the rear-facing camera... sorry!

In retrospect I should have! Forgot about that set. Need the Varda box desperately too.
What shelving are you using for the criterion blu-rays?
Custom shelving that I just had put in myself! I designed the layout and had a trusted woodworker build them in.
Did I hear you say that you did the ‘House’ art? That’s my favorite!
Yes sir! Among others
10:58 And now he is gone 😣
