SMAXZO Sort off, though Hasbro didn't have Super Sentai in kind when coming up with the Pretenders. Remember they are supposed to be 'Robots In Disguise', so they were just thinking of new ways to disguise them, while keeping their transformations in tact.
A great anime, with a fantastic original songs, It was really nice see a man become convoy and the super form and god form! They even found a way to use the pretenders!

Same here I love the headmasters and the scramble city intro but I felt the story was better and the way they did rebirth was better then having the target and headmasters just robots.
+AcanLord The series itself is the least Transformersy of the Japanese exclusives, due to the heacy inclusion of humans, in fact series writer; Masumi Kaneda said that if it wasn't for the names 'Autobots' and 'Decepticons' (Cybertrons and Destrons in Japan) then it would have probably become an entirely different mecha series.
Compared to the other Japanese themes, this one's really boring and lacking any energy. It's a nice song but it's not what I expected from a Transformers anime. Even the guitar in the middle is pretty slow and lacking any of that Japanese flair.

This theme is addictive in how upbeat it is. I've been listening at least 2 or 3 times a day since I started watching Masterforce.
The songs in this series are my all time favorite. I especially like Toshiya Igarashi's vocals for this series.

Transformers: Masterforce was very Super Sentai-ish with humans using bracelets to become Transformers.

To me, it's no doubt that the american part of the series is better. But the japanese part has better intro music.
For me the anime is better but just is my opinion.
