Thanks for the video on Loreburn. My dad, Alec Moffat, was pastor in the United church from 1950 to 1953 or there about. I was 3 or 4 when we moved from there. I remember George Lempke letting me drive his tractor. George stayed at our house when his wife was in hospital, in Saskatoon.
Wow! U were driving a tractor at 3 or 4!? How Saskatchewan is that? Thanks for watching and writing to paint in some history, Dale. Take care and Keep well. Cordially, Don Wilson
Very quiet. Perfect picnic place where alliteration is always appreciated. N'est-ce pas? Thanx for writing, John. Hope U get to Loreburn soon. Cordially, Don Wilson
Thanx for writing, Lorna, and for noticing the memorial. I do try to find the cenotaph in every place that I visit; so important to the history of the community and the district. So very many names are inscribed on them, witnesses to the price we, as a nation, paid for the privileges and advantages we enjoy today. I'm sorry for your family's loss. Cordially, Don Wilson
I may have to visit Loreburn someday. I've driven past it several times to fish beside the Gardiner Dam spillway. It's a nice-looking town. I've been thinking. I wonder if that's why they have a school to keep the town functioning. It would make more sense to have a school in Elbow and the kids from Loreburn bused there, considering there are 300 people in Elbow and a lot more kids probably. Otherwise, having the kids from Elbow bused to Loreburn doesn't make much sense. Thanks for posting.
You're right, BD. It would make sense to me, too, to have the school in the larger centre. May have come down to the structural integrity of the respective buildings, Loreburn's being just that much better. Thanx for the thoughtful comment: I never noticed that. Cordially, SkyleoFiets
I pleased to learn that there is still an active school in Loreburn. How big an area does it serve? Thanks for watching and writing. Cordially, SkyleoFiets

I was so glad to see you include the War Memorial as my Great-Uncle Howard Abrams name is on it. Thank you for sharing this video :)

@@HomeTownSaskatchewan there is about 85 kids that go to the school and it's mandatory as there's no schools in the area
