Utter rubbish. This just proves that every one these days delegates to someone else and takes no measures to actually support and care in the immediacy of any ones personal crisis.

Most personal tutors do not have specialized professional training on how to deal with students suffering from depression or mental health issues. It is better to refer the student to mental health specialized services within the university that to provide wrong advice that may potentially lead to life-threatening situations. Better safe than sorry.
