I was a helper in the 80’s working on the pipeline. Ground 100 miles of tracks out of 500 and 750 wall, 24 and 36 inch. Black and decker grinder and pipeliner wheels…. 8 bucks an hour and glad to be makin it!!!!
Sounds like tough work. And $8 an hour was pretty good back then. Thanks for sharing your story!
0:19 He’s doing 6010 but would would have upped it to 6020 or maybe even 6030, especially digging roots out of the wagon tracks. I always keep the fat cap on top at the end so as to baste the meat and make them drool.
Informative Tutorial
Many many thanks
I’m in school right now. Y’all got any tips for 1/8 carbon with 6010 rods. I know they tend to look like crap no matter what you do. But I’m having trouble finding the right amps to do roofs with, I tend to blow out my bevel no matter how I do it
When welding 1/8" carbon with 6010 rods, try setting amps between 70-90. Focus on maintaining a consistent arc length and steady travel speed to prevent blowouts on bevels. Adjust technique for better results.
Awesome cool 🆒️ 😎 👍 👌 yellhell
