    A 4 minute clip where MJ held the ball for about 10 sec. If you wanna know why the Bulls won that much now you know. Teamwork, everyone had a chance to touch the ball and to make a play before they went to MJ in a "in case of emergency break glass"

      Basketball church. The game has charged a lot since the 90s but every coach and player can learn from one of the greatest minds in the history of sports. Sports writers and fans try to chalk this team up to one player when in reality the strength was in the pack. There’s a reason Jordan didn’t want to play for anyone else but Phil Jackson.

    • @kennywarren3574
      @kennywarren3574 4 года назад +14

      Kerr himself said that too actually; Kukoc was a starter and playing 40+ min a game lol he might have been the 2nd best Bull in the 98 Finals. But the promo is for people who might not be as familiar with the 90s Bulls. Since then, he's won 2 titles with the Spurs, 3 as coach of the Warriors, been on 2K as a commentator, and been on TV. Crazy name and face recognition. The Last Dance is one of the first times most fans have seen Kukoc in the last few years period.
      I'm a hoops junkie and tbh I haven't seen a single interview or soundbite or appearance from Kukoc from after his retirement.

    The era when NBA basketball offense was more intricate than stand and watch iso ball.

    • @rajeevraghavan6198
      @rajeevraghavan6198 4 года назад +2

      Just because one superstar (Harden) runs iso doesn't invalidate this era. I mean do you see the types of off-ball screen plays that are drawn up for Curry? Or Brad Stevens ATO plays? Or PnR with someone like Jokic who can be the screen setter or passer?

    • @jegca
      @jegca 4 года назад +5

      Jeffrey Kato um, warriors basketball? By the way you seem to forget a lot of 90s basketball was dump the ball to the big man in the post wait for the double team and kick out to shooters. I wouldn’t call that intricate motion offense.

    • @Kirbystare1992
      @Kirbystare1992 4 года назад

      James i know you’re just making a point but there’s nothing wrong with that either. You play to your players strengths if I have shaq and Hakeem they will draw major attention so I’m gonna play inside out no need for some super difficult offense lol.

    • @jegca
      @jegca 4 года назад

      @@Kirbystare1992 i'm not criticizing any style.. but the original post was calling today's game simple while 90s basketball was intricate.. i was alive to watch it all, and dumping the ball to hakeem wait for double team and kick it out to Horry, Elie, Kenny S, etc.. for a 3 isn't any more intricate than today's game.

      @TheRealist 811 I could see him averaging 40ppg in his best scoring season in today's game, but not the 50 that the Dennis Rodman's of the world exaggerate. His peak athletic yrs were actually in the late 80s, where there were always several teams threatening 120ppg. It's in the 90s where it actually became way more defensive-oriented. As it stood, he averaged 37.1ppg one yr; I could see a 3ppg bump, which is actually a lot from 37.
