"It's like jazz" ... I see what you did there phil
As a musician I totally got it
Hahaha. That went right past me when he said it. Nice catch
Danny Paul he was talking bout the pun relating to Utah Jazz
Another famous basketball personality said the exact same quote. "Basketball is jazz" - Holger Geschwindner, Shooting Coach of Dirk Nowitzki
A 4 minute clip where MJ held the ball for about 10 sec. If you wanna know why the Bulls won that much now you know. Teamwork, everyone had a chance to touch the ball and to make a play before they went to MJ in a "in case of emergency break glass"
Basketball church. The game has charged a lot since the 90s but every coach and player can learn from one of the greatest minds in the history of sports. Sports writers and fans try to chalk this team up to one player when in reality the strength was in the pack. There’s a reason Jordan didn’t want to play for anyone else but Phil Jackson.
It is called System. I saw how Jordan play without the Triangle Offense. He did not win. Now you know 😂
Keep Kobe's legacy going Phil!
Rest In Peace Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant.
I love listening to a legendary coach break down tape, its so insightful
proof Tony is an integral part of the bulls, we know coach steve ryt that toni must be up there on promo poster.
No one plays 1 vs 5 so yeah
Toni was so underrated, debatably could've been a franchise player on some other teams.
@Rolo Castro You say that like that's a bad thing. Lol
Young Lamar was nice, maybe not a take you to the promise land. Still good enough to lead a team though.
Imagine a modern version of Kukoc, switching teams to be a franchise player and not winning a ring.
He is not underrated. He is in the hof....
A whole segment of this would be a great watch.
Kukoc was the truth. He's a taller Bogdanovic, with post moves and a better passer. That would be a franchise player today.
So nothing like him. But he's white so they're the same.
ive always thought of kukoc as a better version of sam perkins
I hear Kobe in the background every time Phil does the breakdowns 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I love that this has no music
Phil should be the only one doing " Detail " , he is the Bob Ross of Basketball .
Imagine that 1:35 play with today's Rockets. That must've been 12 whistles for sure
Almost every play here showed Toni, makes sense af to put Steve Kerr on the promo. Marketing/Advertising is so ruthless sometimes.
Kerr himself said that too actually; Kukoc was a starter and playing 40+ min a game lol he might have been the 2nd best Bull in the 98 Finals. But the promo is for people who might not be as familiar with the 90s Bulls. Since then, he's won 2 titles with the Spurs, 3 as coach of the Warriors, been on 2K as a commentator, and been on TV. Crazy name and face recognition. The Last Dance is one of the first times most fans have seen Kukoc in the last few years period.
I'm a hoops junkie and tbh I haven't seen a single interview or soundbite or appearance from Kukoc from after his retirement.
Its all those young kids that are Golden State Cupcakes fans. They dont know basketball.
@@TheRbruin10 Bitter old people are the worst.
@@2FadeMusic I agree. Those are the same people that voted for Resident Biden. Anyone who uses Malarky in a sentence should be in a retirement home.
Maaaaaannn…Michael is just smooth
anyone ntoice Stockton trying to jump the pass from Harper to Kerr in the corner at :12
such a smart defender and no suprise hes one of the best stealers of all time
Phil’s a nice addition to Detail but I thought Kobe was the best at breaking down games and players because his game was complete. Always good to have one of the all time greats analyze a game.
The era when NBA basketball offense was more intricate than stand and watch iso ball.
Just because one superstar (Harden) runs iso doesn't invalidate this era. I mean do you see the types of off-ball screen plays that are drawn up for Curry? Or Brad Stevens ATO plays? Or PnR with someone like Jokic who can be the screen setter or passer?
Jeffrey Kato um, warriors basketball? By the way you seem to forget a lot of 90s basketball was dump the ball to the big man in the post wait for the double team and kick out to shooters. I wouldn’t call that intricate motion offense.
James i know you’re just making a point but there’s nothing wrong with that either. You play to your players strengths if I have shaq and Hakeem they will draw major attention so I’m gonna play inside out no need for some super difficult offense lol.
@@Kirbystare1992 i'm not criticizing any style.. but the original post was calling today's game simple while 90s basketball was intricate.. i was alive to watch it all, and dumping the ball to hakeem wait for double team and kick it out to Horry, Elie, Kenny S, etc.. for a 3 isn't any more intricate than today's game.
could watch these all day
Without Tex Winter Wisdom MJ and the Bulls will never won a 6 championships..
Awesome.
you can draw a triangle anywhere.3 dudes are always close to each other. I dont get why this was so special
Phil is the man dude
Yes
More videos like this.
1998 Jazz fan before final:
The Bulls cant handle the music.
The 🔺️ Offense is Fascinating
If anyone will continue detail without Kobe that's not Michael Jordan will be Phil Jackson they have identical minds to Kobe.
What does phil exactly mean with playing defense in front of their bench. For what reason
Could be many, the other team could be demoralized because there playing near the bulls team. they also get to learn the game more closely because the whole team is there.
Nah Rodman tripped him at 1:35
Rodman didn't trip him .. it was coincidence that rodman leg was there ... Tripping someone is different 🙄
Is it true they called Jordan the Pitt bull
Na

You're the 'sports expert' right?

I still don’t understand the triangle or the triple post offense
The Triangle Offense is what it was called. Essentially every player is usually in a triangle from each other and can improvise getting open and whatnot
*** use headphones ***
Man!
I would love to fully learn it so i can get of kids to learn to
Chicago has the lead!!!
I see those are variations of pass in game
When ESPN posts every 10 minutes lmao
Lebron will not be good in Jordan’s era
Yup neither would Jordan in LeBron's era or Kareem's era
Led istic Jordan wouldn’t be good. He still would be the greatest
Yeah he would.
LeBron could play in ANY ERA. It’s all about LeBron’s mentality that leaves him underachieving in the finals. Lebron is an all time great. Stop lol
@TheRealist 811 I could see him averaging 40ppg in his best scoring season in today's game, but not the 50 that the Dennis Rodman's of the world exaggerate. His peak athletic yrs were actually in the late 80s, where there were always several teams threatening 120ppg. It's in the 90s where it actually became way more defensive-oriented. As it stood, he averaged 37.1ppg one yr; I could see a 3ppg bump, which is actually a lot from 37.
miami heat watching this i bet
man after helping out the knicks then bulls then lakers he should be taken care of by miami heat
So basically tex winter made the bulls and Phil meditated with them. Got it
Get jordan on detail, use kobe as a bait tell him its kobes legacy etc. Etc.
People who watch the beautiful game A.K A Football that's been PAINFULLY titled "SOCCER" will know that F.C. Barcelona's "tiki-taka" style is also a triangle style of play
ESPN making 70 90s Bulls videos during this pandemic is wack.
Only watching this one because it's a detail preview.
Stop crying kid
It's a good time to learn your history
This detail thing is probably gonna die without kobe
Apparently it's not. Kobe is replaceable
Why would it?
Kobe's the closest thing to MJ.
Le36ron's not even better than Isiah Thomas.
If LEBRON is a nobody you wouldn't bother mentioning him. He's not even in the video you just contradicted yourself
Led istic the reason why he mentioned Le3-6 is because the flop guy called himself the goat.
Pedro Mathias well hes not we all know who knows basketball MJ is the GOAT
@@Kasuga_Pedro Flopping takes talent.
Imagine Lebron with this team and coach.
bring in tyron lue hes
erik spoelstra and the Miami heat
@@tufoinproductions Not at Phil's level tho
“Dang angst” LeBron will never be on MJ level you Bron fans are delusional
He woulda quit on them and dipped to another team
Triangle is overrated.
11 rings shut your lame hate down.
Your overrated
It can be easily stopped
triangle with the best player in the league 11 rings. Le-ISO-bron with the best player in the league 3 rings. now who is overrated!
@@breadedchicken952 yes how? .. easily stop on keyboard 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you guys are super stupid
I don’t get it, he’s just describing what we’re looking at. Anyone can do that
how about phil coach the lakers now? lakers roster now is way better after the trade, the problem is this madapaking coach ham, doesn't know how to rotate his player successfuly
This is why the bulls won 6 striaght, cause mj had pippen and grant big 3 and was losing and even lost a yr wit phill, till phill got mj striaght and won 6 straight
This is the worst detail video
Probably because you don't get it
1:23 This tells you that the NBA is rigged so the refs could be selective when calling fouls to change the narrative. Listen to the Hall of Fame coach carefully to what he says. It depends WHAT'S IMPORTANT = $$$
Brother there is contact on every single position at this high level of a game..refs are only human & must determine what is excessive or not. It's not about rigging the game
Frostei Not true
