To me, Bad Boy records elevated hip-hop to never-before-seen heights in the late 90s. Their songs just sounded fresh and their slurred rap delivery had a swag to it when everyone else was just rapping hard/gangsta. Puff Daddy was an underrated producer too- his sample selection was genius and he developed sophisticated beats around it.
Choosing a sample is as far as Puff's production skills went, it was other cats actually programming the beats, adding the melodies and mixing the songs. Puff just took the credit.

Why Puffy Why but your music will never die just saying for me
1997 was the year I fell in love with hip-hop and this was the song that did it for me. God I miss Biggie😢. 90’s hands down the greatest era for hip-hop💯%
Benny D 90s world so much better 👍🏼
Sorry I know this is upsetting but the truth has to be explored and brought to light. Gene deal Bigs bodyguard that lays out in detail how Puffy's actions resulted in Bigs death ruclips.net/video/HazmSJqKPrU/видео.html
True story benny
i’d say it’s the 2000’s of i’m being honest
Pizzazz Art Not only rap was better in the 90’s. The whole world.
I miss this type of music so much
I do not miss the music video at all

Fun tunes that made times good
If Biggie was still here I'm sure he'll still be kicking it. His songs are gold. Sad we can't get any new ones from him.
leonkennedy1259 mase wrote this song loo
leonkennedy1259 he’s dead tho
that's how I feel
leonkennedy1259 his wife is still making songs with him rapping in it
leonkennedy1259 Well dr.dre is my personal old school favorite.
It’s really sad what’s going on right now in the music industry. How art is imitating life. The moral of the story: never put anybody on a pedestal. We all will fall and can be stopped but how fast is it going to take you to get back up??
I was 11 when this song came out. Now I’m a 37 year old mama jamming out to this banger in my kitchen on Saturday morning making my family’s breakfast. RIP Biggie Smalls.
Lol shut up so stupid
i'm 31 years old & i can remember watching this video everyday when it first came out this will forever be my favorite 90's song
My man I’m 31 as well born on July 1990 and I love this song
MTV RIGHT??
I'm 30 years old I enjoy listening to this song when I was a little kid
I’m 52 years old and was 26 years old and remember also watching this every day and all the other 90’s masterpiece’s including punk rock music bands like The Offspring 🔥🎵
@@jeffreywilliams8499 my son is 30 and more of a punk and some pop punk music fan but my 25 year old daughter loves hip hop and rap music 🎵 I’m 52 and love all those genres 🥰
This is still one of the greatest hiphop music videos of all time.
Am playing this at my party, ain't no party like a diddy party
To me, Bad Boy records elevated hip-hop to never-before-seen heights in the late 90s. Their songs just sounded fresh and their slurred rap delivery had a swag to it when everyone else was just rapping hard/gangsta. Puff Daddy was an underrated producer too- his sample selection was genius and he developed sophisticated beats around it.
Choosing a sample is as far as Puff's production skills went, it was other cats actually programming the beats, adding the melodies and mixing the songs. Puff just took the credit.
Mase said slezzy produced this
I feel like Mase never gets the credit he deserves
Nope, Diddy screwed him according to him
Same. I feel like people be clowning him and I never get it. He had a smooth flow and hits on hits. People didn’t take him seriously
Dont leave when you hot thats how mase screw up
@@Diesker He had to, the streets allegedly had a hit on him.
@@IrishEvey Rumor is he rubbed people the wrong way on his way up. We all know how hard he beefed with Jim and Cam back in the day.(that infamous Hot 97 interview) Plus people thought it was sketch how he claimed to have found God and then as soon as he thought the money on his head had faded he ran to G-Unit.
One thing i will say about this man his videos used to be the best
Mase was the star in this song 🌟
All this time, that "I'm coming out" sample used by Diddy showed his true colors, but we all ignored it.
Aged like a fine🍷
🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s just a sample
Man please shut up with all that
In public enemy he said "who should I fear",I'm the enemy that you can't see/you ain't shit to me",thought was over but I crept from behind"!? In can't hold me down he said "young black and famous with money hanging out the anus" he was a designer Sean JOHN he wanted to dress men!?
This song is one of the most popular singles in hip-hop history. *_"Mo Money Mo Problems"_* was *_Biggie's second number one hit in the US._* The song hit number one after he had died.
This was Mase hit he already said it they just added a big verse
@@hennygrandcru8082 BIG verse is the best part of the song
Legend has it (Idk for sure since i was only 7 years old at the time) that Biggie never got to finish this song, he had his verse but it was supposed to be just him and I guess after he died they finished it...
@@hennygrandcru8082 You're an idiot. It's on Big's album. Go back to not supporting your kids and playing 2K.
Mike facts: but we see now Mase today still has to fight for his ownership and royalties

You shouldn’t be bc Puffy is disgusting.
