This could be an ideal climbing shoe for me. Excited to for them to be released so I can check out some reviews to see if I want to buy a pair. Either way Im happy to see new trad focused shoes coming out. The TC Pro really did mid and high top shoes a real favor in bringing them back into the spotlight. Still I would like to see some more board lasted, stiff high tops that excel at all day climbs and offwidths.
Looking awesome as a potential rival to the TC Pro as every other shoe I’ve seen come try and enter this ultra stiff and precise big wall, dime edge, off width, all day market have had some serious flaws of too soft of rubber or split soles or downcamber and high toe profile. For every Scarpa athlete hitting Yosemite or all day in the Cascades and similar, I have to honestly direct em towards the TC Pro. Thought the newest Vapor lace was looking somewhat viable, but seeing this… this and in a low top is great.
@@Mike-oz4cv split sole and bulkier straps plus a slightly greater downcamber and toe profile than the Vapor Lace. Would rather an Instinct Lace or Boostic even before a Vapor V though the Instinct is still split sole and the Boostic is far too aggressive to wear for too long. The Vapor V is simply an all arounder with a focus towards being good on a variety of terrain indoors and out which means features for overhanging and more incut holds. I’d send someone to a Katana Lace first.
@@zacharylaschober I love the Vapor V. Thanks to the relatively stiff sole and overall comfortable construction it’s okay to wear on long climbs. It’s obviously no high-performance shoe, you wouldn’t want to climb an overhang with it or do serious heel- or toe-hooks. But you can easily climb on small footholds all day long. I’m thinking about getting it a size larger so I can wear it with socks and keep it on for hours.
@@Mike-oz4cv not against the vapor v, simply they’ve several aspects which make them less suitable for the terrain and activities discussed, and there are other shoes in the scarpa line which are more suitable than a vapor v, but nothing much compares to a TC Pro except seemingly this generator.

The biggest problem with Maestro shoe is a bulky toe box. Is this shoe going to have lower toe box profile?
Are these going to be stiffer than the TC-pros? Mainly wondering in the mid-fot. Thanks :)

Why not the Vapor V?
