I wont spoil episode 1, but it sure is emblematic of what happens when you cast superfans who just apply on a whim
I mean i don’t know why that’s more likely to come from that type of casting as opposed to recruits or non super fans. I’m not really a fan of superfans but for mostly different reasons
@@megarooster99because super fans overthink the show and don’t go for reasons to win. The best characters in the shows history were there either for greed or to prove something about themselves. Super fans who lurk all day on Reddit are typically nerds who all think they have the winning formula figured out and end up being simultaneously the most boring and uncompelling contestants in the shows history.
Turned out to be the best season post WAW, can't judge off the first episode
@@megarooster99there was one point in the first episode when she says "I just wish we could sit and talk in the shelter but we actually have to build it" or something like that and that's the problem. She's seen the show and the fun parts of the show but never actually thought about living on an island for real

I recently applied and was my authentic self and I hope that’s enough for them! I’d love to be on this show. I def can’t even say in a Superfan but i am def a big fan of this show and it’s whole concept.

She won because that one chick chickened out and voted Julie instead and pretty much gave Dee the million.

@@sergeantmasson3669 I know but after forcing Jake to swear on the vote she just changes it for no reason. They all knew Dee if she won immunity she be taking Austin so Katurah screwed herself in the fact she be making fire with Jake. I’f Dee was voted out and Austin won last immunity he probably would have taken her and Jake and Julie would make fire. I can see her thinking that Austin or Julie could win the million but voting out Dee would have gave her a seat in the finals and a chance at winning. Once she voted out Julie that was it for her.
