I like this idea; I will try it. Hopefully it will not add too much additional overhead. What I have been doing to adjust the overall track volume when there is automation is to adjust the track gain.
It's shouldn't add much overhead unless there are too many plugins and tracks with automations on them. And yess adjusting the gain knob works too but it sometimes weakens the signal for other plugins on the FX chain like reverb ,delays and may cause issues. Thanks for your comment 🙌
