Greetings from Nevada, USA. I'm a big Nigel Planer fan. I especially love him in 'Bad News Tour' and 'The Young Ones'. It's so exciting to see him on your program, which I've just discovered. :)
the comic strip movies are the best, idt the young ones will stand the test of time, we'll see, but it was such a generational thing, did love the stage effects, especially when they failed.
i remember seeing nigel planer trolling mark lawson once, it's still one of the funniest things i've seen on tv. matter of thing i think i'd rather go see if i can find that in stead of watching this
Four Men on a Ferry. Four Men on a Train. Four Men on a Bus. Four Men on a Submarine. ... Four films that will never happen now. Mayall was so integral. Gutted.
I suppose everyone gets old and 'matures', but Nigel Planer seems to be getting very 'plummy' in his latter years. I remember interviews with him about ten years ago where he doesn't seem to be as 'actor'-ish as he does here. Although I suppose all the 'lovelies' were played up a bit for the camera.
Eh? No such character ever existed. Furthermore, the Neil "hippy" character bears no resemblance whatsoever to a "crusty". In fact, the "crusty" subculture and the term "crusties" didn't even exist when The Young Ones was originally broadcast. You're obviously an enormous fan.
Kryten and Neil...brilliant!
All the theatre lore was terrific. Could watch these two for hours
This one needed to keep going. It was brilliant!
Just 12 episodes and soooo good!

Never knew about this! Another reason to hate James 'unfunny oaf' Corden. Plagiarism.
ffs, that was the worst one yet, just pointing out theatres in London !
Wow, a troll comment from a Trump shill, who'd have thought.
