Bellino II plays the bridesmaid for the 2nd straight year...an immense giant of a horse...

SF was a absolute freak...his pedigree(Tompkins) suggested that he was not destined for stake racing, but Bill slayed them in the OHHA events in Ontario...His TR at Windsor was incredible, and the fact that he excelled past his 3-year old season shows how talented he really was....

That poor horse after the race wasn't used to this....just wanted to get a drink and cool out, but they had him standing under that scary arch, standing still for 5 minutes, tossing the flowers on him. Actually he behaved much better than some horses I know would have!! LOL!! The winners circle photos were as fun to watch as the race. These guys from France had to realize as long as you stand their, they will take pictures all night!!! It's one thing calling the same 8 horses in the B3 every Saturday, and another calling a large group of horses you never saw before, some with names you have to learn how to pronounce. He didn't do enough work memorizing the names/numbers/colors.....the tough ones are the heats I guess where you have to go by drivers and not numbers, trying to forget the previous heats and now they draw a 20 minutes prior. Those have to be tough ones to call. Of course, the crazy Italian 4 wide around the first 2 turns didn't help!!! I think he was praying for single file. Those guys who call those cavalry charges in Australia on the 1/3 mile tracks are amazing.

The horse is ok, the question is if you are ok?

Billy Megens gave it a shot on Snegem Flight. Bill always tried to win.

Jack E. Lee sounded like he wasn’t even watching this race. Great action with horses all over the place but Jack just couldn’t get it right. Never called the winner till the finish line.

Tuddyboy11 : In all due respect I think like a good wine or steak he got better with age... Jack was 29 then....

No offense meant. Jack was a great one. Met him at Freehold a few times and he seemed like the nicest guy. Even the great ones have occasional stumbles.

Jack Lee was the best!! But he didn't seem to spend enough time memorizing these guys with foreign names.
