Well....I have a couple of reasons to hate my NC750X. 1. I do not like to steal. Yes, steal looks wherever I go. 2. It gives me problems with my wife. She says that I love my Honda more than her. that is not true. I love them both equally.
Very original video. I was expecting bad things about the motorcycle and instead it was a great positive review about it. I love motorcycle in general and own 2 right know, and several thru my live, never thought about this one until now.
You've missed another big problem. When my other half phones me at work and says pick up bread/milk ... blah blah... endless list, I can't say "I can't I'm on my bike." because she knows that bloody tank box holds a full carrier bag!
I just got back from a 2600 mile trip on my NC750X DCT. The bike only averaged 88mpg. Very disappointing! Joking aside, you forgot to mention the 20 odd litres of storage space inside the "tank". This is such a useful feature that I don't think I could go back to a conventional bike again. Brilliant design by Honda.
I have to wait till July for this, completely agree with the money savings, both initially and running costs, the real world usability of this machine. I truly think Soichiro Honda would be proud of this machine. Friendly to ride, friendly to own.
I own my Honda NC750S since 6 years. I am as tall as you but it it fits. A well engineered and well designed bike with much torque at low revs. It's really great.👍 I like your Channel ❤️ Best Wishes from Germany
I've got a 2012 700X with 56000km from new. Not a single problem so far. Gotta love Honda! My goal is to put 200000km on it and with that engine I think it's possible...
I hate that this is my first bike ever and after 4 years, I can't find anything I like better. They said this would be my first bike, not my first and last bike!
Vanguard1987 - good observation. For some reason there is the opinion this is a "beginners" bike. I think it's for those who know the lasted rocket ship isn't for the real world.
I pick mine up on Tuesday mate, I rode one I really like how it feels paid the token some, and now I own one, without having to part with my DR650 for now!
I can aggree with you. I ride a NC 750x and the only thing I sometimes miss a little bit are 70- 75 horsepowers instead of the 55 I have. All the other aspects are good. I like my bike!
Nice commentary, I like my NC pretty much, on roads, on highway, and offroad. some are saying lack of power, that's not true for me at least. It runs happily at 140KM/hr i wont exceed that speed (it can go faster never tried though). Breaking system is PERFECT (combined ABS)
Went out bike shopping with my son this past weekend trying to decide which Honda I want. Now I've found it! I'm a new beginner and all I have to do is wait for the sale sales to begin. Thank you SooOOOO Muuuuuch.
Carolan Walker - thanks. I’m sure you will like it. It’s perfect for both beginners and people who have grown out of the need to ride over powered rockets.
I ride a Kawasaki Ninja 300. Turned 50,000kms yesterday after 13 months of extensive riding. I have paid for my next bike 2017 Honda NC750X and expect delivery next week. I hope to have a similar experience from it if not a much better one. I love what you've done with the review.
I am currently thinking about getting an NC750X. I was looking forward to hearing things you don't like about it. I'm a bit disappointed in your reasons, but I still like the video.
Atheist In Louisiana - sorry about that. These are things that could be better : - suspension damping poor - seat could be more comfortable - low power for a 750cc - oem tyres are crap But no bike is perfect and I can live with these.
I got a NC750X DCT 3 weeks ago. 1500 kilometers so far. A bit heavy for off road although I have been up and down 2 different mountain roads covered in loose gravel. The DCT may make the chain last 50% longer because starting off is gentle with no shock.
I agree with you about the NC750 and all its glory. I love mine to bits and have traveled all over the world on her. However this morning I jumped on her and headed off into town for some breakfast only for her to let me down!! Thankfully she came to a stand right outside my mates bike workshop. First of all after breakfast her battery was almost totally flat and we had to jump start the bike. On the road home the clocks and all simply died and then eventually so did the engine. Right away I thought it was the rectifier and so we started stripping the bodywork to find the rectifier. Now this is where the NC becomes a massive nightmare!!! What a terrible job it was just getting all the plastics off and the tank luggage box out. Even with all that out we could not find the rectifier!! Eventually we called Honda and they explained where it is hidden! It is hidden away under the fuel tank and access is made by removing the plastic mud shield above the rear wheel. Even with it unbolted it was a nightmare to get to the reg but once we got it out we found the problem and that was a corroded wire. It had been arcing I would say since new as it had even melted the plug. Thankfully the reg and all are still ok and working!! The nightmare now is getting the bike back together. Hopefully now she is fine again and ready for her long trip from Scotland to Morocco next month. Thanks for your clips
I drive my NC700 for 5 years now. One thing i really, really hate is the lack of power and hitting the rev limiter too often (no dct). Luckily i drive my bike most of the time easy to my work. It's very economic to run and reliable. And the luggage storage is great. Greetings from Holland.
Hi there! I really like your videos! After not riding a bike for 32 years I bought a CB750F2 last year. I just love that bike, but ... I got my eyes on Honda NC750x AND on your videos! Suddenly, I've ordered a brand new 2018 NC750X :-) I'm picking it up next month :-).....As I live in Sweden I hope the snow will be gone by then !!
That sounds great! From a great bike to an even better one, yes!!! By the way, I too drove a Honda CB750 in the 80's (CB750N) It was my first bike. I'm lokking forward to drive the NC750 this summer. And bywatching your videos I've learned a lot about the bike. Thanks ! :-)
Well my friend you can live your bike to me in crete greece since we have sunshine days yearly so when you come here for your vacation you enjoy your rides,,, hahaha.
:-) In that case I Think I leave both the bike an me in Greece. Here in Sweden the spring is very late and we STILL have snow!! I Think I pack the bike and go South ....forever! ;-)
I've had a manual one of these for 6 months now. Hate it for all the same reasons - i.e. it's the most usable bike I've ever owned. If you don't want to travel at over 100mph on public roads and still want to make your way swiftly through traffic, this is the bike.
Yep tongue in cheek certainly sums that up! I totally agree with almost everything you said, excepet the seat.... which I find on mine is not long distance comfortable.. so I shall probably be spending more hard earned on a Corbin seat... this with the Puig touring screen with Vario, handguards, fender extender, hugger with chain guard, Tutoro chain oiler and full GIvi luggage is a good starting point for an great all rounder.. soon to be fitted will be the SatNav and power socket for the heated gear or other needed electrical gadgets...... of course I live in Scotland and not Australia so my needs my vary! To answer a previous poster, yes it is REALLY that smooth, I came from an NT700V which doesn't vibrate that much but this bike is sooooo smooth.... it is brilliant!
Les Bishop - seat? Yep. Opinions vary on the Honda NC750X Owners Group (Facebook) about comfort. One bloke even said he didn’t like the Corbin seat! Over the years I’ve found seat comfort variable. Some are initially hard (NC) some initially soft, but all are uncomfortable if you don’t regularly move around or even stand up for a period, when doing many 100’s of km in a day. But hen again my butt isn’t the skinniest!
Hahaha I sensed a small portion of sarcasm. Because of your good reviews of the bike I went out today and bought the 2019 model! Love the all-around practicality of the DCT. Greetings from Belgium!
Khalid, how are you finding the weight of the 2019 NC750X DCT? How manageable is it in slow moving traffic? I am interested in purchasing one but heard that the weight of it in low speeds is not that manageable. Thanks in advance!
Brillant vid, as always. There are so many "top 5 hates" vids this is a great antidote. 34 bikes?? Really? Man... You have changed bikes a heck of a lot.
Yes that video sold me. When i was considering getting a NC i did the obvious and looked for reviews on youtube. Its hard in Australia to find a Honda dealer that has one of these bikes to test ride. Mine was the only new one in Australia when I bought it. I did get to ride a NC700S which is obviously fairly similar but after watching this video I committed to the purchase and Honda then shipped the bike still in a create to Brisbane and 3 days later I was riding away with a grin from ear to ear. That was 8 months ago and I can say 20,000km down the grin is still ear to ear. What a great bike we own.
Talha Kazi only difference is ride height the NC700/750X has slightly higher suspension to give more Offroad capability. Only other difference is the front fairing. The ‘X’ models have the taller wind screen and the ‘Adventure’ style bear over the front wheel. Other than that no difference.
5000 km in 4 months with mine... and, apart from your top 5, I found "the reason" not to buy one: The Frunk. Now I won´t be able to live without one. I follow you!
Lately I've been thinking of selling my NC750S in exchange for a bike with a shaft drive, like a Guzzi because of the supposedly decreased and easier maintenance, but your instruction videos have changed my mind completely! Thank you!! The past few weeks I was thinking about getting a Moto Guzzi V7 from 2015, and the only reason it would be that one is because that's the only one which I can just barely afford to buy. I've been doing some searching and asking around however and apparently the V7 is known to have gearbox issues like the bike not wanting to go into neutral or into 2nd gear or oil leaking from the shaft drive... When I read that stuff I really started to ask myself: Is it really a good idea to sell this bike, my first motorcycle which I'm completely happy with, for a bike with less efficiency, less practicality, more expensive accessories and dealer maintenance and of course way more vibrations surging through the entire bike? What if I regret selling my NC750S? After having seen your video's about how ridiculously easy it is to perform most maintenance on the NC750X/S I realized that there's no way in hell I'm gonna sell it for an inferior bike like a V7. It's so smooth and easy going and reliable and efficient and practical and not to mention it looks just perfect with it's mostly matte black finishing combined with a touch of metallic red body work, it's downright excellent. I think I'm gonna buy some accessories for it actually. It deserves it :). Thank you for the instruction videos!
i cant believe you dont hate the 20 or so Liters of storage space you have right in front of you to store all your stuff and improve your hauling-stuff-life exponentially...seriously man, you disappoint me...LOL
I have to agree with all your comments. I used to have a NC700X before I got my CBR650F and the NC700X is an amazing motorcycle. I used to take her off road and it did well
I’m in the US here we have theNC700 , I’ve got 87000 miles on mine in about 5.5 years . I’ve been on 10000 mile trip to Alaska and I loved this bike. I sometimes wish I had10 more horses for the straight always . Averaging about 65-70 mpg and in the 80’s occasionally. I’m hinting of getting a new bike at 100k but not sure what.
Currently I have the NC700X DCT 2016 model & Drive it 7 days pr/week in Arizona USA. Absolutely love it. Your so lucky I wish that the American side of Honda would allow us to have the cool bikes you guys have in Europe. We always get the leftovers LOL
Oh well I now have no excuse not to upgrade to the NC750X. I thought my height was going to be an issue, I just so happen to also be 190cm tall..... I have since been the local Honda dealer for a 'play' on one. Feels and rides like a dream!
Great video. I was glad to hear that the NC750X is coming to the US; I plan to grab the first one that hits my local dealer (I ride a CTX700N right now).
Totally agree i got mine indent ordered into NZ the exact same make, model and colour as no ABS here in NZ. Your how to vids are food for thought. I have added a Tutoro auto chain oiler as I have already done 7k since March :-)
you choose such a lovely way to say publicly how much fund you are of this wonderful bike..wish u had many more thousands kilometers without problems..
nice video just wanna do my Review for those out their .I Have a nc750x and ive done 49000km on it . it is my only bike i have ever owned but i love it . fuel economy is awsome .and its got enough power when u need it to overtake and cruz comfortably . It is however not a Racing machine but a true commuter as its very easy to flick and turn in traffic
Nice Video and nice bike too...I read lots of comments in youtbe said that vstrom 650 is better than the nc 750 x. What do you thing as an owner? Btw, you have a DCT or manual gearbox version?
Great vid! Congratulations! Do you turn off the abs somehow when going off road with this bike? ... I'm starting to believe that not being able to turn abs off at will might be the only real "flaw" of this bike... any thoughts?
Mauricio Barreto - I've ridden dirt all my adult life. Turning off the ABS is way overrated for the sort of riding you will do on an NC. Even on my previous bike - GS1150 BMW - I didn't bother turning off the ABS. I've found the NC ABS to be pretty good on the dirt anyway. Not too sensitive.
Missing morning tea? Dude....the struggle is real. But I'd like it if you did make an accessories video. What you installed, why, how much it cost, and how you use it. Thanks!
Adam Leach - good suggestion but I’ve made seperate vids on: power socket, centre stand, radiator guard, rear shock mud flap, pannier racks, tools I carry, 12 v air pump. Just go to my channel and scroll down towards the bottom. Also this vid about extras ruclips.net/video/E3TZLzjVQxA/видео.html
I would like to get in the bike world. I've seen one on these with like 15000km close to where i live, a very decent price, everything in order and ready to take off. Do you guys think it's a good choice for a "first bike" ? Seems to be a bit heavy but not a lot too.
First bike ? It wouldn’t be my choice for first. It’s heavy to move around but it carries its weight low down so once moving it feels light. Have you considered the CB500x?
Nancy Girouard - yep. They are surprisingly nice to ride and very easy to live with. Some say the engine is “boring” but I suspect it’s the rider who is boring not the engine !
And people say 50bhp is not enough what's your opinion. I have a vfr750 which I love but like the idea of one of these must be getting old lol. Cheers Neil.
Sounds to me like those are all plus signs. No vibrations ? I’m in ! I’m gonna get one , my hands would thank my bike for NOT vibrating so much ( I’m on a 1200 sportster 48 now and almost hate it)
Hi from London... First up, great to hear your Aussie voice and humour! I do miss my home country! Been riding a 2000 BMW f650gs for 11 years over here all over EU, but with air pollution controls etc. getting tighter I am very sadly thinking of moving my baby on.... it's breakin' my heart.... Anyway... I've been looking at the NC750x but the one thing that does my head in is where the petrol cap is. I do a lot of touring and often have a seat pack (and sometimes camping gear behind me) (plus panniers and top-box). What kind of a pain in the butt do you think it'd be having a seat pack strapped down when trying to fill up? I am picturing that you'd have to take it off each time... whatdya think? Cheers, K
Kristina jansons-binns - fuelling up? I use two “Andy Straps” to hold my tent on the back seat. Only takes seconds to remove then replace for fuelling. BUT have you considered the Honda CB500X instead? Wendy has one and its a brilliant bike. Almost the same performance and fuel economy as the NC. Longer fuel range and a nice smooth engine. Wendy had a BMW F650 for 13 years before the 500X. She considers the 500X better in every way than the F650.
Chris Bisignano I’ve tried these tyres: - Tourance Next - didn’t like these at all and they wore out quickly. - Michelin PR4 - excellent road tyres - Shinko 705 - excellent price and performance but the rear wore out quickly - Current tyres that I will stay with are: Front: Shinko 705 120/70 Rear: Tourance (the standard model) 150/70
Ahah, I have a 2002 1150GS but I'm really curious about the nc 750 x. Do you think I would ever have any regret changing from my motorcycle to nc 750 X? What do you think about DCT?
Francesco Peroni - DCT no available in Oz so I have no experience with it. Personally I’d still stay with the manual. But lots of DCT owners love them. Very personal choice. Regrets? The bike that suits me could be completely wrong for you, or perfect. So I cannot comment.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff thanks for your reply. I was considering that most of times I ride I use more torque than hps, because i rarely go upper than 5.000rpms. On my gs I have 80 hp @6.600rpm, but a weight of 250kg with full tank, and with an average fuel consumption of 16km per liter. Here in Italy the DCT version is more popular than MT. Once i tried it, but it didn't convinced me because it was "too perfect": non vibrations, no feelings when changing gears (torque shakes, vibrations etc.), even using the DCT in manual mode. Maybe I'm not ready to accept automatic transmission on motorcycles yet. However, is the MT version more "alive" by your experience?
Great video, all my hates are the same as yours, apparently lol. Traded in my constantly failure prone money pit BMW for a 2012 NC700XA over 5 years ago, and have been in love with it ever since!
I have NC750x to (blue&&silver, 5000km). Nice job, you have veary funny vids, very informative mechanical tips and how to tutorials....I`am very happy to find your channel Greetings from Romania
I do like it! .. I owned a Honda Trans Alp 600 that was similar.but over 100,000 miles and sold it running good! . I wish this bike had SS braided brake lines and bigger diameter forks from the factory though... and a belt drive would be even less maintenance..
Hi. I have small issue with my brand new 750x. Its also manual version, and while breaking in the engine ive done 600km without reving it higher than 4000rpm. After that distance ive decided to rise maximum revs a little until first service. What appears in that time is that after exceeding 4000rpm very strong vibrations on footpegs appears. You mentioned in this video that there are any vibs in all rev spectrum. Does it means that there are realy ANY vibs in any revs? I would by greatful for your answer cause im going to "fight" for this with my dealer and i want to be sure that im right. Cheers and stay safe!!
Sorry. I can’t help. Mine doesn’t have any noticeable engine vibration anywhere in the rev range. Do you have accessory engine bars! These can often be the cause. Take them off and re-test.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff thank you for reply!! :) Yes i have a lot of add-ons. Givi crashbars, and sw-motech center stand. Tommorow or in two days im taking it for the first service after 1kkm. Maby they will figure out whats wrong. In other case i would do as you sugest. Take one by one added stuff. Still very grateful for your answer it will help me to talk with honda mechanics. It already helped me a lot. Stay and ride safe!! Ps. A lot of good stuff on your channel... Love to see Australia some day ;)
I've just bought one of these in may and I love it! I got the dual clutch model. Do you get what's like a whistling from the front wheel on the manual? It was on the demo I tried and on the one bought, both DCt models. It sounds like it's coming from the front but I put it down to air running under the front mudguard. It's not a problem, just something I've noticed and wondered if any one else that rides one has noticed?
Kawaquacky Green - I've got the manual but there isn't any difference in the front. I don't get any sound. Mine is an early 2016 model. Maybe you should join the NC Facebook forum "Honda NC750X Owners Group" and ask there.
Hi . My wife does not ride. I was going to ask what type of bike you prefer for 2 up riding. But then I heard you say you had GS1100. I was looking at RT1200T , as my wife is quite short . She may need a step ladder for GS1200. I may need to get cheap 2nd bike for off road fix.
Im thinking about getting an nc750, coming from an Honda sc50. Im getting older (turning 30 soon :-D) and i dont Like the speeding anymore. Just Want to cruise around and relax while driving so i think This Bike will be perfect. Thanks for your review Mate, greetings from Germany
It is so hard to pick a bike... I thought I was going for the good old mt-07, but I just noticed a local dealer has a nc750x so I thought I'd search for some reviews... Doesn't make it any easier, because everyone is in love with their own bike.
Dent Hardy - yes it really is that smooth. No high frequency buz like you get with a 4 cylinder. It's max revs is only 6,500 Go to Facebook group "Honda NC750X owners group" for more opinions.
Hi love your review down to earth and I have been thinking of getting one of these for my first adventure bike. been riding on the road for over 25yrs. I was shying at the fuel tank size and no aftermarket in site.
Rafał K. It’s a GPR muffler. But almost any aftermarket slipon sounds good. Not loud as the catalytic converters in the header does most of the muffling. I love the sound produced by its 270 degree crank.
Would you be happy to ride it to Alice Springs and join a orgaised 5 day rally of the area and the ride back home for example. Could it handle a multi day rally out that way?
Any bike can handle a multi day rally. Its done on postie bikes all the time. However, I woudn't attempt the Simpson or similar deep sand. Its just not built for that. Its a 'soft roader' as standard.
karoslif - suspension is only adequate. It’s “road bike” firm and very “budget”. This is the only real dislike I have but I can live with it. On the other hand, I have to realise this is a budget bike and I’m not going to get the best of everything for the price.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff thank you for your response, I'm coming from a ctx700 so even with the nc750x being budget hopefully it's a lot more comfy than the ctx, I can't believe the C in CTX stands for comfort, I was more than happy to see that bike leave my garage.
I have also owned and still own a few bikes mate ( it sounds like a fantastic bike for reliability , fuel economy etc , are there any common faults with the bike ? , also wire wheels would be nice and also lack of HP , so would you prefer your Honda over a Vstrom 650 X ( as specs are very similar but they have around 70HP )
It’s all about the ride-, Keeping it alive - the Vstom X would definitely be a better “adventure” bike. But I have never liked V twins (just an unreasoned prejudice of mine) and V twin is more difficult for maintenance (I do all my own maintenance) Lack of power? How much is enough? Usually the answer is “more than my current bike has” (whichever bike you have). So this doesn’t concern me.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff All good just getting your option , Iv ridden a few V-Storms & they also have a rep for reliability as well ( what's the Suspension travel on the Honda F&R and is it adjustable ?
Your delivery is so dry that it took me a minute to understand you were being sarcastic. I've generally liked Honda bikes, but with some the transmission was a bit lumpy. This one seems quite practical and easy to live with.
Hey guys, I'm interested in getting my first bike. I never was interest in a bike because of having to shift gears, but having an automatic seems very exciting, safer and much easier to ride. Would you all recommend the NC750x DCT as a first bike?
very good bike as first as well as the last bike LOL. Bare in mind it's quite heavy and with DCT even more heavy, plus the seat is releatively high. Personally I wouldn't buy DCT, better to learn how to use manual but if you want it works good most of the time especially in sport mode.
What a surprise, I already bought one of these and came to check out the faults as mine broke down on the second trip out, only a blown fuse as it turned out nothing major but a slight disappointment. Why would accessories be one a fuse that also supports hazard lights horn and the lcd screen , I have yet to find out but my guess is a dodgy dealer mechanic has bodged up the wiring of the accessories. Anyway great video.
John Spence - yep it’s a silly question. Mine is a normal manual transmission just like every other manual transmission bike. So yes - you can. But if you are thinking the DCT model then maybe you are confusing the system with a scooter. A DCT is a dual clutch transmission. It has a neutral as well as drive. So yes you can reverse it when in neutral.
Great Video! So you're quite tall. Did you made some ergonomic changes to your bike for example, raise the seat or lower the foot pegs. I'm 187cm with an Inseam of 91cm and I'm afraid the knee angle will be still to small to make long rides. Greetings and ride safe!
Well....I have a couple of reasons to hate my NC750X.
1. I do not like to steal. Yes, steal looks wherever I go.
2. It gives me problems with my wife. She says that I love my Honda more than her. that is not true. I love them both equally.
"Equally" lol
Ha ha ha ha
Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! Nice comment!!!
See if you can trade your wife for a newer model..... Preferably a biker girl!...
127,500K on my NC750X and still loving it !!!
Mike FreeRider Gagne - no better thumbs up than that !
66k on my 2012 700x all weather all year scotland riding ! , just wheel/headstock bearings so far ,doesn't burn a drop of oil either.
Mike FreeRider Gagne congratulation Nc750x says anywhere you can go👌💪
Very original video. I was expecting bad things about the motorcycle and instead it was a great positive review about it. I love motorcycle in general and own 2 right know, and several thru my live, never thought about this one until now.
Did you have some sort problems and how many km last the chain ...seems like you change 2 of them....Thank you for your atention
You've missed another big problem. When my other half phones me at work and says pick up bread/milk ... blah blah... endless list, I can't say "I can't I'm on my bike." because she knows that bloody tank box holds a full carrier bag!
oldbloke135 - Ha! But you now have an excuse to take the long way home ..." but dear, it took that long to get the shopping"
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff But if you carry milk, you can't ride a detour or else you'll make butter out of milk:)
I hate this bike so much I went out and bought one and now I'm so unhappy about being so happy with it, I hate myself so much.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 me too!!
Ahaha😂
I just got back from a 2600 mile trip on my NC750X DCT. The bike only averaged 88mpg. Very disappointing! Joking aside, you forgot to mention the 20 odd litres of storage space inside the "tank". This is such a useful feature that I don't think I could go back to a conventional bike again. Brilliant design by Honda.
same here love mine only down fall is front wheel road noise ,,changed bearings still same apart from that its good
I have to wait till July for this, completely agree with the money savings, both initially and running costs, the real world usability of this machine. I truly think Soichiro Honda would be proud of this machine. Friendly to ride, friendly to own.
The title had me worried but all was fine. Funny video 👍🏻
I own my Honda NC750S since 6 years.
I am as tall as you but it it fits.
A well engineered and well designed bike with much torque at low revs.
It's really great.👍
I like your Channel ❤️
Best Wishes from Germany
Thanks. I can identify with your BMW comparison. I had a 90S back in the 70’s.
I've got a 2012 700X with 56000km from new. Not a single problem so far. Gotta love Honda! My goal is to put 200000km on it and with that engine I think it's possible...
There is a video of the 700x with 200k on the clocks.
Thanks bud, yeah I'm not surprised... These bikes and engines are truly amazing! Love my Honda!❤️❤️❤️
You should try a bike with real horsepower. It's way less than the Suzuki V-strom yet lots heavier. You're hardly one to be judging motorcycles.
cheeky bugger, i was looking for legitimate reasons not to get one and your sarcastic video has given me no option but to get one....
Marcus - sorry about that mate. But as they are so inexpensive you could buy a real bike as well !
I pick mine up on Tuesday mate, I rode one I really like how it feels paid the token some, and now I own one, without having to part with my DR650 for now!
Marcus - congratulations.
excellent and practical bike indeed, have mine for 3 years and 35k km. It's a keeper for sure.
Oracko Ken - thanks mate. Hope to see your adventures soon.
The bike is possibly missing one thing, shaft drive.
I am currently thinking about getting an NC750X. I was looking forward to hearing things you don't like about it. I'm a bit disappointed in your reasons, but I still like the video.
Atheist In Louisiana - sorry about that.
These are things that could be better :
- suspension damping poor
- seat could be more comfortable
- low power for a 750cc
- oem tyres are crap
But no bike is perfect and I can live with these.
I got a NC750X DCT 3 weeks ago. 1500 kilometers so far. A bit heavy for off road although I have been up and down 2 different mountain roads covered in loose gravel. The DCT may make the chain last 50% longer because starting off is gentle with no shock.
I have a DCT Africa twin and have to change my chain/sprockets in under 20,000 km. I was surprised by the short life.
Adventurescot - thanks for sharing your problem.
Glad you found the solution ...eventually!
Hasse Honda750 - thanks mate. I used to own a CB750F2 way back in the 80’s. It was ok but the NC is way better.
I’m sure you will like it.
I Think I pack the bike and go South ....forever! ;-)
You are welcome...have nice and safe rides.
Mike Doyle - yep mostly in my younger days. Keeping them much longer now as it tip toe towards senility.
Could you please point me to a good comparison between the NC700X and NC700S?
Talha Kazi only difference is ride height the NC700/750X has slightly higher suspension to give more Offroad capability. Only other difference is the front fairing. The ‘X’ models have the taller wind screen and the ‘Adventure’ style bear over the front wheel. Other than that no difference.
@@ADVRydrBloke thanks 😃
Great video... the nc is the bike of the next 10 years hard to beat perfection. ..cheers
Graham Mourant - thanks mate. Glad you liked it.
5000 km in 4 months with mine... and, apart from your top 5, I found "the reason" not to buy one: The Frunk. Now I won´t be able to live without one.
I follow you!
Mr Fechu - true. I could have gone on and on but wanted to keep it short for those of us with short attention spans!
You are right.. Eager for new content.
JeroxB you just got a lemon that’s all. It sucks, but it’s not at all typical of this bike.
i cant believe you dont hate the 20 or so Liters of storage space you have right in front of you to store all your stuff and improve your hauling-stuff-life exponentially...seriously man, you disappoint me...LOL
My women rider friends, "Oh! You have a glove box on your bike!" *envy* :-)
Did you install an aftermarket exhaust? The exhaust note SOUNDS so COOL.
Yes - GPR
Aussie Humour love it.....
I have added a Tutoro auto chain oiler as I have already done 7k since March :-)
mobileguy - the auto chain oiler sounds interesting. Haven't used one since the mid 70's on a trail bike.
Would be interested in your review of it.
you choose such a lovely way to say publicly how much fund you are of this wonderful bike..wish u had many more thousands kilometers without problems..
Title did scare me at first !!! but yet ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO FROM YOU 😎😎😎😎😎😎
nice video just wanna do my Review for those out their .I Have a nc750x and ive done 49000km on it . it is my only bike i have ever owned but i love it . fuel economy is awsome .and its got enough power when u need it to overtake and cruz comfortably . It is however not a Racing machine but a true commuter as its very easy to flick and turn in traffic
I hate my nc700 so much that I'm going to keep it forever
Nice Video and nice bike too...I read lots of comments in youtbe said that vstrom 650 is better than the nc 750 x. What do you thing as an owner? Btw, you have a DCT or manual gearbox version?
akarim55 - “better” is a very personal value. It all depends on what you want from a bike.
But you won’t be disappointed if you by the VStrom.
thanks for your replay but wich one you prefer and why?
akarim55 - I have the manual version NC.
I cannot make a judgement on the VStrom as I haven’t owned one.
A Friend told me that the NC have a smooth gearbox than the Vstrom...IS your manuel gearbox ok?
Also this vid about extras
ruclips.net/video/E3TZLzjVQxA/видео.html
I would like to get in the bike world.
I've seen one on these with like 15000km close to where i live, a very decent price, everything in order and ready to take off.
Do you guys think it's a good choice for a "first bike" ?
Seems to be a bit heavy but not a lot too.
First bike ? It wouldn’t be my choice for first. It’s heavy to move around but it carries its weight low down so once moving it feels light.
Have you considered the CB500x?
Love this video dude. lol Just bought a mostly stock 2015 NCX. Love this bike. Gonna turn it into a true adventure touring bike over time.
Chris McKenzie - good move. It’s a good base to start from.
Chris McKenzie what's your plan of action? I plan the same but no idea how to prioritise lol. How are you getting on?
great vid.I love my nc 750 x DCT since 1 year and 25000km. Next bike will be the same, hopefully with Cruise control.
Rented this bike and fell in love. Going to sell my Triumph Tiger for this bike next spring.
What is differnce between NC750XA and NC750XD?
Great video. I loved the fact that your not afraid to say I love my bike. Good on you!👍👍
GOT ME !!!
Very good.
Well done.
Thank you.
I simply LOOOOOVE that twin thump from that GPR exhaust slip-on! Sounds ballzy 💪💪
willmann30 - yes that 270 degree beat with a slip-on does sound good.
That is one good looking machine! Love that color. I should be picking mine up in a day or two. Love the review.
Henry Wojtkiewicz - thanks Henry. I'm sure you will love it.
great video! greetings from Canada
Absolutely superb. Going into it, I really thought it would be full of hates, which would have amazed me.
Love this review 😅😂 Just bought one after seeing the "big service" bill on my 1200 GS 😢 picking it up next week!
She considers the 500X better in every way than the F650.
have you made any adjustments other than tires to be able to ride the forest roads in the vid?
At the date of this vid only tyres changed.
Your 750 sounds good. What muffler do you use?
Hawaiian Brian - it’s a GPR
Over your kms, what have been your favorite tires? looking for new set for my 2016 nc750x dct, 90%road 10 % gravel Thanks
Chris Bisignano I’ve tried these tyres:
- Tourance Next - didn’t like these at all and they wore out quickly.
- Michelin PR4 - excellent road tyres
- Shinko 705 - excellent price and performance but the rear wore out quickly
- Current tyres that I will stay with are:
Front: Shinko 705 120/70
Rear: Tourance (the standard model) 150/70
I'm a new biker and I was half way through the video before I realised you were being sarcastic! Great video and bike.
I has one for a month. I’d buy the DCT version. Also it should come with a centre stand so you can oil the chain easier.
Great video, all my hates are the same as yours, apparently lol. Traded in my constantly failure prone money pit BMW for a 2012 NC700XA over 5 years ago, and have been in love with it ever since!
great videos and love the transition from one hate to the next(I hate how nice the exhaust sounds)!!! GREAT VIDEO!
Duzi Realz - thanks mate.
Wish to hear your view about the xadv 750
Thanks for sharing thinking of buying used one
Is it better solution NC750S for 95% city commuting or NC750X in that case too?
only 400 km ? unconfortable? vibration?handles easily? what to do with 1000$ god o f mine? thanks for your vid, really amazing.
I just love the video, I will pick it up my one tomorrow morning.thanks for the video.
Kiki lulu - thanks for the feedback. So exciting to get a new bike. Enjoy.
what's the best moto in this category ?
I have NC750x to (blue&&silver, 5000km). Nice job, you have veary funny vids, very informative mechanical tips and how to tutorials....I`am very happy to find your channel
Greetings from Romania
Roseti Robert - thanks for the feedback. Appreciated.
I do like it! .. I owned a Honda Trans Alp 600 that was similar.but over 100,000 miles and sold it running good! . I wish this bike had SS braided brake lines and bigger diameter forks from the factory though... and a belt drive would be even less maintenance..
Fuzzy Was n
I just got one a month ago. I think it will ruin me - how can I have a different bike to this one?? The fuel economy alone is amazing!
Yes i have a lot of add-ons.
Love to see Australia some day ;)
HA..HA... Honda should use this as their advertisement. Best hate review I've watched!!!
Thanks to this I picked NC750x for my trip around NZ
It runs on fume!
ruclips.net/video/OYMotxC2b7I/видео.html
Another great video. Congratulations. Following you from Portugal. Cheers.
Great video! You pushed me over the edge, drove it home today👍
robwrkmn - good stuff.
nice bike for an old man that doesent want to go screeming around but enjoys comfort
Hi . My wife does not ride. I was going to ask what type of bike you prefer for 2 up riding. But then I heard you say you had GS1100. I was looking at RT1200T , as my wife is quite short . She may need a step ladder for GS1200. I may need to get cheap 2nd bike for off road fix.
I have had two Hondas in my riding career and loved them.
Agree. So many great bikes to choose from.
I have a real problem with vibes ( carpal tunnel ) is it really that smooth ?
Dent Hardy - yes it really is that smooth.
No high frequency buz like you get with a 4 cylinder.
It's max revs is only 6,500
Go to Facebook group "Honda NC750X owners group" for more opinions.
Hi love your review down to earth and I have been thinking of getting one of these for my first adventure bike. been riding on the road for over 25yrs. I was shying at the fuel tank size and no aftermarket in site.
Dave Mammali - I get 400km from a tank full. Even in Oz that is enough for almost trip.
what exhaust do you use? lovely beast, i plan to get one in 2018!
Great video, I totally agree with these 5 hates, but this model is great, also works very well in extreme situations.
If you don't mind mt asking, how is the suspension on this bike, is it pretty plush, I am definitely interested in buying one.
karoslif - suspension is only adequate. It’s “road bike” firm and very “budget”. This is the only real dislike I have but I can live with it.
On the other hand, I have to realise this is a budget bike and I’m not going to get the best of everything for the price.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff thank you for your response, I'm coming from a ctx700 so even with the nc750x being budget hopefully it's a lot more comfy than the ctx, I can't believe the C in CTX stands for comfort, I was more than happy to see that bike leave my garage.
karoslif - have a look at the Facebook group called “Honda NC750X Owners Group” for other owners likes and dislikes.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff will do Thanks for the heads up!
But I have never liked V twins (just an unreasoned prejudice of mine) and V twin is more difficult for maintenance (I do all my own maintenance)
Lack of power? How much is enough? Usually the answer is “more than my current bike has” (whichever bike you have). So this doesn’t concern me.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff All good just getting your option , Iv ridden a few V-Storms & they also have a rep for reliability as well ( what's the Suspension travel on the Honda F&R and is it adjustable ?
Got me.How are you feeling about it now any difference.About to trade in my RT1200
newsouthwhaler - just over 30,000km now. Still happy with no plans to sell it. It is suiting me very nicely.
Your delivery is so dry that it took me a minute to understand you were being sarcastic. I've generally liked Honda bikes, but with some the transmission was a bit lumpy. This one seems quite practical and easy to live with.
So I bought a Honda NC750X and love it. Just love it.
Hey guys, I'm interested in getting my first bike. I never was interest in a bike because of having to shift gears, but having an automatic seems very exciting, safer and much easier to ride. Would you all recommend the NC750x DCT as a first bike?
ⒷⒶⓃⒼ|ⒷⒶⓃⒼ - not an option in Oz. Only manual available.
very good bike as first as well as the last bike LOL. Bare in mind it's quite heavy and with DCT even more heavy,
plus the seat is releatively high.
Hi, silly question - if the engine is running, can you reverse it in/out of the garage/parking.
FirstAid1 - I’m 190cm and have made no changes. A taller seat height would be nice but not practical.
Thanks man! Guess I'll take it out for a test ride tomorrow!
