US' Third Largest Oil Refinery On Fire

Residents within two miles of a US oil refinery were ordered to evacuate Friday after a fire broke out that sent huge plumes of black smoke into the sky. A tank containing naphtha caught fire around 7 am local time at the US' 3rd largest oil refinery located near the town of Garyville, Louisiana. The blaze continued smoldering till late Saturday. The Marathon Petroleum owned and operated oil refinery is also the world's 9th largest as of 2022.
