This is B.S. mostly. A well bred, pet quality AKC Biewer Terrier is not stubborn, it's a smart breed. It's relatively easy to train IF the humans don't get caught up in all the adorableness of this dog!! The Biewer can manipulate humans easily. However, if the owners appreciate that they're training a dog and not a baby, and are consistent, training is quick. The coat thing mentioned is also untrue. I've had a Biewer Terrier for 9 years so far, there's no fur flying around. Of course, grooming costs can be high BUT it's also relatively easy & quick for the owners to do the grooming. Pet quality Biewer Terriers are adorable with a long coat or puppy cut. They keep their youthful good looks even as "senior" dogs. Some DO bark when alerted to a sound, however, the barking is not particularly loud (my Yorkshire Terrier is much louder & has a more aggressive bark). My Biewer actually stays quiet at unusual noise. When I return home from work, my Biewer Terrier is just happy to see me. Her tail wags A LOT. But she doesn't bark when she hears the door opening. As for the overall health of the dog, it all depends upon the breeding!! Save your pennies & find a reputable Biewer Terrier breeder. It's worth paying for a quality bred dog (not show quality) than to suffer with genetic ailments that can arise from poor breeding. Do your research before purchasing & you'll be happy happy happy with your pup!! Having been developed from two Yorkshire Terriers with the Piebald Gene in Germany back in the 1980s, the Biewer Terrier does maintain some Yorkie characteristics. HOWEVER, the early American breeders who developed the AKC breed used their experience & expertise to soften many of the Yorkie's more aggressive traits. A well-bred, pet quality Yorkshire Terrier would still kill a rat if it saw one. The AKC Biewer Terrier would rather just play with it.
What is going on. My Biewer, and I have papers, she just passed away at 15 years and 4 months. She Never shed. She was trained in 2 weeks to potty outside, never had respiratory problems. The most She barked was at a squirrel on the fence. Not much barking at all, they do love everyone. Did they change breed since 2007?! Our breeder socialized all her puppies, we couldn't have till she was 12 weeks old. No undercoat.
Your correct my bever terrier didnot take long to go outside ti wee andvpoo shes very friendly towards dogs and cats i brush mine everyday to xwe have nice walks and a run on s big field near where i live i have had no stubborn episodes shes been with me a year now i got her when dhe was 16months old brilliant little dog doesnot molt and my allergys are not affected x thats rubbish they need at least 40 mjns off lead exercise x most of thidcisnot correct x
The creator of this video clearly did not do any research. Biewers do NOT have an undercoat, ARE hypoallergenic, do NOT shed, and are a breeze to train.
Just got ours 2 weeks ago. She is now 13 weeks old. She has some minor pee mishaps (usually on a puppy pad) in the house but she knows pretty much already knows to stand at the back door when she has to potty. The Biewer Terrier is Hypoallergenic. There is no undercoat. She does not bark a lot at all and is very sweet in.
This video is a complete misrepresentation of the Viewer terrier. They are the best little dogs. Very intelligent and does not shed. Mine loves people and believes every person coming to visit is for her entertainment. Best dog I've ever had.
I have a biewer terrier. She is very smart has been easy to train, only 1 coat and it is thin. She doesn't bark very much and we have 2 cats. She does bark sometime at the cats wanting them to play with her. She is a snugglebug. She does tell me when someone is around that is outside the normal routine. She barks a low bark once and waits to see what is going to happen. She does love to play and run around the house. She does not like loud noises or car rides. She stays home while I do my thing. When I get home she is so excited to see me she cant contain herself. She is hypoallergenic and doesnt shed like most animals. She might loose a hair once in a great while but it's no more often than a human. She definitely needs to be combed to keep her coat from knotting up, and most definitely is better short for the sake of the pet. She's easy to bathe and groom. Over all she's the best dog Ive owned.
I like the fact that my dog let's me know someone is at the door. He goes on the pad as he was trained and in the grass outside. My dog doesn't shed and he is brushed twice a day. Don't get any pet without doing research first to know if this is the proper pet for you. This video is sad.
I found my pup house trained very quickly & even asks to go out. He trained easily in everything he was taught. So don't know where you get your info 😊
I am happy to see that others commented on the pronunciation of Biewer it important to get that correct especially if you are making video . I have two Biewers and there are definitely some things that you presented which are Not True,. They are hypoallergic dogs and they Do Not Shed . As for the coat, Biewers do not have an undercoat. My male's coat never matted and I did not brush him daily. My female does mate and needs to be brushed daily when she has a long coat. They are not excessive barkers. Yorkies are but not the Biewer. My girl never barked for the door bell until the boy taught her that we are alert dogs for our humans. Biewers are sweet, very smart and happy little dogs and also very loving. I can not say enough about about them. I am preparing to get my third Biewer and looking forward to the experience.
How did you potty trained them? I have two biewers and they just pee in the house like crazy, they can do it outside and as soon as they come inside they do it again,
First off, the breed name is not being pronounced properly. I breed and show this wonderful breed. The person that did this is providing almost all incorrect information and I for one am very dissapointed!
I have also bred these dogs for the pas 10 years but I am now taking a break. Listening to this description makes me extremely angry. I haven't heard anything correct except that they are adorable.
7:26 we just got our baby 12 weeks old. She wouldn't let her go before then! That tells me she's a great breeder. I can't train her because she doesn't like the treats! I've tried 3 so far and she ste the science hill diet for sensitive skin and stomachs at her previous home so I ordered the kibble and a case of the can to top. She doesn't like that either. She has gained from 1.8 to 1.94 and the vet says she's healthy
Why you should get this dog 1 well they do bark but it is not so loud unless u just trained ur dog bad 2 they are so easy to train i got 2 and learned them lots like roll sit etc 3 they can learn it easily set them down on the grass and give them treats if they peed/pooped u give it an treat 4 just brush them more And they are so cute!
I agree with stubbornness, barking and possible shortcomings with regards to training, but DOUBLE COAT? Uhh, check your sources, pls. They have hair, therefore, not hypoallergenic, but really way better to people with allergies than someone like German Shepherd. And they DO NOT shed. Not more than us humans, at least. Also, they do need a lot of physical activity to stay happy and healthy, otherwise they have enough energy to ruin your home.
I have a Biewer Terrier and I don't agree with the title of this video about why you should not get a Biewer terrier. 1. My Biewer was very easy to potty train, he had very few inside potty's that didn't happen on his potty pad and now goes out his doggy door without a problem. 2. My Biewer doesn't bark a lot. He does bark when the door bell rings, however every breed myself and family have ever owned did. German Shepherd, Doberman, Rottweiler, Pitbull, Yorkie, Boarder Collie, Poodle, Boxer, Beagle. Barking when the doorbell rings or someone knocks on the door is pretty common of any dog. I know many who have Biewers and its about 50/50 on how much they bark. 3. My Biewer loves to be brushed and doesn't shed. I keep his coat shorter between one and 4 inches long. Also they ARE hypoallergenic because they have hair not fur. They do not have a 2nd coat. They are a breed that was formed from a recessive gene in the Yorkshire Terrier. 4. All dogs have a risk of heatstroke in hot weather and nothing that's being described as "Health Issues" is different than any other small breed. 5. My Biewer trained without treats, he is not strongly motivated by food and he is very smart and was easy to train. It's ridiculous to title this "6 reasons why you should not get a Biewer Terrier" then list several things that aren't indicative of the breed, then to go on to give 5 reason why you should own a Biewer. Perhaps the author should become more educated in the breed and then re title this to read things to consider when giving a Biewer Terrier a new home. Here are some things that are true of the Biewer Terrier, 1. They are very protective of their person. They tend to attach more to one person in the household more than the others. 2. As with any small breed, they could be injured easily so it is not recommended to have them around babies and toddlers. Depending on their size assists are recommended for them to get up and down from furniture to avoid leg and hip injuries. 3. They love to play and fetch, they are happy and energetic. 4. You must groom them regularly, brushing daily, washing and conditioning their hair weekly or bi weekly depending on the outside exposure. 5. Brushing their teeth daily is very important as well, small breeds can develop tarter and plaque more quickly than larger breeds. 6. They need to have kibble out to eat at all times so that they don't become hypoglycemic.
They are hypoallergenic, and they do not shed, because they don't have fur, but hair. That's one of the reasons I got them: I dont like hairs on my clothes. I have some, though, but that's for letting them lie on me while I'm watching sth. Just to give you a good example: I know for a fact that my bitch climbs to my bed when I'm not home, because I've seen her a couple of times. But other than seeing her, I dont have any proof, since she doesnt not leave fur behind.
1. The barking is true for my biewer 2. Also very true we cal our biewer stubborn terrier 3. Not true they are hypoallergenic and you don't need to grow their hair long we keep our short and it is cute 4. True don't smoke around them and cut their hair short in summer months 5. True they are very stubborn I have never had or seen a dog breed more compassionate supportive or loving as a biewer terrier and would highly recommend getting one.
I dont know who did this video but he has no idea what he is talking about. I got Biewer Terier and none of this is true if you knoe how to train a dog. They are very inteligent and easy to train.
I have a Yorkie Biewer mix that was adopted. We had a dna to see her breed. She has a little poodle and chihuahua also. She’s 13 now and has never been potty trained. We have a doggie door and she goes out to pee but still pees in the house. She’s a marker too.
Wrong on many counts. My Biewer doesn’t bark hardly at all. She was easy to train and that includes potty training. Oh and no undercoat…Biewers have hair not fur so no shedding. She never meets a stranger and loves everybody…
I hope you get one! My 3 yr old Gidgi has brought so much love to my life. I had little Chihuahuas that were 17 and 18 years old. They both passed away on the same day, they were sisters, 6 mos difference in age. When they passed on October 20 , 2023 my son knew my heart was broken . I couldn’t bear to be inside my home. I was staying outside as much as possible in those first couple of days they passed away on Friday. And on Monday, my son drove up with her in his truck. It just so happened that his friend and wife had just had a newborn, and they had an autistic little boy that was very rough and mean to Gidgi. The new mother just wasn’t able to keep her eyes on keeping Gidgi safe so they told my son that they would love it that I would be Gidgi new mother. I’m retired and have lots of time for her, and she is the most playful, loving little thing! She doesn’t shed, has never had an accident in the house and is quite the little yapper! She is so funny the way that she follows me through the house nipping at the back of my pajamas, because she wants me to go and sit on the couch with her, she absolutely hates the broom and the mop and of course we play , I chase her with the broom and the mop and make funny noises and she just loves it! She has 16 outfits and she’s definitely an attention getter , when I dress her up in her pretty little dresses, and take her shopping with me! And of course she loves the attention! The kids just go crazy, wanting to pet her ! As I type this, her little head is on my knee while she sleeps, she’s so content as long as she’s touching me. I love her so much! Get you a Gidgi, you will be in love, I promise!😅❤🎉❤😅
No Shed at all. Cute calm, bark yes at the supermarket seeing cats , dogs or kids. She is very educated never ate anything. They are not stuborn they are just free spirit let them and they will follow you. Again no shed at all.
First of all the breed is pronounced beaver, like the rodent. They are hypoallergenic. The BT does not have a double coat and does not shed. BT, that is not well socialized will bark if they hear a cockroach fart from across the room. I’ve been breeding and showing these dogs since 2007. They are a companion breed and they live up to that.
Hi Biewer Buisje. we just share a info related to Dogs and Used some of clips for information under fair use RUclips license ...But i give you credit Now but if you mind i can delete your clips from our video ..Thanks
Totally disagree with literally everything in this video. Do your research before you keep others from buying the most precious animals on the planet!!! Love a Biewer mom!!!
Besides the name pronunciation being wrong, "beeva" is more accurate, as this dog originally resulted from a mating of Yorkshire Terriers that carried the pie bald gene in Germany. Since the push by more and more people to make them an entirely different breed, we have seen "breeders" mix other small breeds with them. These DNA results are proving that. The Biewer were born to a well known German couple that bred Yorkshire Terriers. They had some pups that carried the pie bald gene and some of the litter looked like traditional Yorkie's and some looked like the modern Biewer. The dog is hypo-allergenic and non shedding in the same way that the Yorkshire Terrier is. Perhaps, people mixing other breeds with them is causing some litters to not be hypo-allergenic but that was always a huge positive for people interested in dogs but they were sensitive to most dogs. This is just one example of why people that call themselves breeders shouldn't meddle so much, especially when you already have a fantastic dog. www.biewerbca.org/breed-history.html
@@martyreller8634 Yeah, that's what is happening due to people thinking they know what they're doing and adding different breeds into the Biewers. It's a shame that so many people that call themselves breeders think they are geniuses and start meddling with something that was great just the way it was. The original comment explains that these were simply Yorkies that carried the Pie Bald gene and came out looking like this. They were non shedding and hypo allergenic just like the traditional looking Yorkie. I'm sure your pup is fantastic but if people didn't introduce other breeds into these dogs, your pup wouldn't shed. \You''d simply have a Yorkie that looked a little different than the traditional Yorkshire Terrier but was non shedding and hypo allergenic. Thanks for the comment. 👍
You dont know what your talking about maybe own one first. I have never owned a smarter dog or one this loving. No hair mess, rings bell on back to to use washroom. Barking is about 10% of the chihuahua.
1. Pedigree Biewers are not double coated 2. You mentioned they bark a lot but also said they don’t later in the video?? contradiction much?? 3. Biewers are essentially yorkies who ARE in fact hypoallergenic. If it sheds a lot it’s probably not a pedigree
The lies you tell sir my Biewer Terrier which you are not pronouncing it right because it's pronounced like Beaver so I'm turning this video off because you don't even know how to say the name right .
Don’t turn down an opportunity with a beiwer terrier because they are amazing but I wish I still had one
This is B.S. mostly. A well bred, pet quality AKC Biewer Terrier is not stubborn, it's a smart breed. @tadlaw1600 Very well said.. Thank you.
Animal Guide does not know what the hell they are talking about.

I’m sorry about your fur Baby 😢I love my lil girl pup . Most of this was not true about the breed
I've ONLY heard that they dont bark a lot.. so strange
Some fact checking is needed, the biewer does not have an undercoat and barely sheds. Food-motivation depends on the individual dog.
A lot of it is wrong.
Warning: most of this is wrong

Biewer

PHEW I SH#T MY PANTS CUS MY UNCLE BOUGHT ONE AND OH MY GOSH I WAS ABT TO CALL HIM TO SAY "Yknow what , I dont want a biewer terrier anymore"
Just got ours 2 weeks ago. She is now 13 weeks old. This just goes to show you that not everything on the internet is correct.
I have one, he doesn’t shed and only barks if the door bell rings. Knock on wood but no health problems.
This video is a complete misrepresentation of the Viewer terrier. They are the best little dogs. Very intelligent and does not shed. Mine loves people and believes every person coming to visit is for her entertainment. Best dog I've ever had.
Viewer????

Some of these facts contradicted my online research :/
I think they just said a bunch of stuff without concern if it was correct
"Biewer terriers bark a lot"
* My biewer terrier who gets locked in the bathroom because we cant hear him when he enters after us *
I found my pup house trained very quickly & even asks to go out. He trained easily in everything he was taught. So don't know where you get your info 😊
I am happy to see that others commented on the pronunciation of Biewer it important to get that correct especially if you are making video . How did you potty trained them? I have two biewers and they just pee in the house like crazy, they can do it outside and as soon as they come inside they do it again,
How did you afford 4!! Is the better question. Just joking, keep it up
My Biewer does not shed hair, at all. He has no under coat. He barks a lot, indeed.

Why you should get this dog
1 well they do bark but it is not so loud unless u just trained ur dog bad

Biewer Terriers don't shed! They don't have an undergoat. I don't know where you got that information from but check for facts...
I agree with stubbornness, barking and possible shortcomings with regards to training, but DOUBLE COAT? Uhh, check your sources, pls. Completely false
FUNNY, none of these 6 Reasons apply to our Patrick.
My Biewer is well trained. Rarely poops in the house. Listens to commands without treats. I guess all dogs are different.
Here are some things that are true of the Biewer Terrier,
1. They are very protective of their person. They tend to attach more to one person in the household more than the others.
2. As with any small breed, they could be injured easily so it is not recommended to have them around babies and toddlers. Depending on their size assists are recommended for them to get up and down from furniture to avoid leg and hip injuries.

6. They need to have kibble out to eat at all times so that they don't become hypoglycemic.
I don't think you have the right information about the breed or ever had a Biewer 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
The negative information is mostly incorrect information
They are hypoallergenic, and they do not shed, because they don't have fur, but hair. That's one of the reasons I got them: I dont like hairs on my clothes. I have some, though, but that's for letting them lie on me while I'm watching sth. 1. The barking is true for my biewer
2. Also very true we cal our biewer stubborn terrier
3. Not true they are hypoallergenic and you don't need to grow their hair long we keep our short and it is cute
4. True don't smoke around them and cut their hair short in summer months
5. True they are very stubborn
I have never had or seen a dog breed more compassionate supportive or loving as a biewer terrier and would highly recommend getting one.
I can’t stand it when people don’t know the facts about dogs 🐶!!!
I overlooked the mispronunciation of the breed name, but I could not overlook the claim that these dogs shed a lot. I stopped watching at that point.

This is so bizarre. What language was it translated from?
Wrong on many counts. My Biewer doesn’t bark hardly at all. She was easy to train and that includes potty training. Oh and no undercoat…Biewers have hair not fur so no shedding. She never meets a stranger and loves everybody…

Eu adoro o meu Biewer. Grande parte do que consta deste vídeo é falso.
I don’t hear or care what he saying when i can see the cute puppies
It’s just bullsh*t
Beaver Terrier...ahahaha
No Shed at all. Cute calm, bark yes at the supermarket seeing cats , dogs or kids.
She is very educated never ate anything. They are not stuborn they are just free spirit let them and they will follow you. Again no shed at all.
First of all the breed is pronounced beaver, like the rodent. They are hypoallergenic. The BT does not have a double coat and does not shed. BT, that is not well socialized will bark if they hear a cockroach fart from across the room. I’ve been breeding and showing these dogs since 2007. They are a companion breed and they live up to that.
I've got one. This video is completely wrong
They do not Shed I own one😊
it would have been kind if you had asked me first if you could use clips from my videos

@@biewerhuisje Thank you for your kind Gesture
Rubbish. ! My boy is trained, loves other dogs.
Who posts these things?! Biewer terriers are absolutely hypoallergenic and do not shed.
Nonsense
this is not accurate. the facts are wrong.
Wrong information
Totally disagree with literally everything in this video. Do your research before you keep others from buying the most precious animals on the planet!!!
Love a Biewer mom!!!
Not sure where this information came from, but most of it is just totally incorrect!! They do not shed, and they are very easy to train.
What nonsense
Completely disagree. I]
Besides the name pronunciation being wrong, "beeva" is more accurate, as this dog originally resulted from a mating of Yorkshire Terriers that carried the pie bald gene in Germany.
My little guy sheds a lot! My reg yorkie does not.

Yeah, that's what is happening due to people thinking they know what they're doing and adding different breeds into the Biewers.
Barking is about 10% of the chihuahua.
well, this is exactly wrong.
Biewer Terriers DO NOT HAVE 2 COATS and DO NOT SHED.
1. Pedigree Biewers are not double coated
2. You mentioned they bark a lot but also said they don’t later in the video?? contradiction much??
3. Biewers are essentially yorkies who ARE in fact hypoallergenic. If it sheds a lot it’s probably not a pedigree
This video is factually incorrect.
Not true. My pup hardly barks ! So good and also easy to house train ! Must have lucked out 😊😉
It's pronounced "beaver". This is absolutely wrong! Bad resource
if you can't even pronounce the breed name correctly, you lose all credibility in the first ten seconds
Hair, not fur
The lies you tell sir my Biewer Terrier which you are not pronouncing it right because it's pronounced like Beaver so I'm turning this video off because you don't even know how to say the name right .
Most of this video is absolute nonsense. AI must have made this video.
Please take down this mis information. You can’t even pronounce the name correctly.
What a bollox this video is.
You can't even pronounce their name properly 😒.
ALL WRONG!!!!!!!!!
A stubborn BREAD of dog??!!!🙄
NO. This is All CORRECT
This video is such BS!
