- Voron are among the best 3D printers out there, and one of the reasons why people like them so much is because you can add a lot of different customisations, or mods to your printer.
In this video I present 7 mods I have done to my 2.4 which I believe are almost must have.
Timeline:

Tks for sharing your experience with best mods. I just start to buying things to build a Voron 2.4 r2 350 for my business and your info helped me to decide some of the hardware to buy looking for the best printing quality results. Tks for the guys who add their comments, they helped me also.
Enjoy building your printer Ney.
Nice video mate. Interesting printer.
Thanks 👍
Firstly very informative video 👏. I just bought a ldo kit and I want to upgrade to a screen like yours. Where did you find the walkthrough/instructions to install it on your voron.
@@fabianclercin8125 Hey Fabian. Most of it comes from klipper Screen's own website: klipperscreen.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
There you have examples of screens that works and the installation process.
You can also search STL for other mounts if you want.
The mount I use was this github.com/VoronDesign/VoronUsers/tree/master/printer_mods/alanho/BTT_PITFT50_v2_Mount which I think it's linked in the comments as well.
I find the Rama Idlers and the pin mods are the only real must haves IME. Great thing about this is each to their own.
good information which i needed
Glad it was helpful!
Love your video. I've done most of these mods... except the camera. I need a camera. New subscriber... thanks!
the logi C220 fits very nicely. I've heard the logi 920 fits well also.
Thanks very informative
Glad it was helpful!
A couple more in addition to yours that I have on my V2.4 are: GE5C Bearings ; Under-bed fans ; Exhaust adaptor for 4" flexible duct that goes out the window ; Hall-effect end-stops
Thanks! Always good with new ideas Evgeny
Man I love learning all about these vorons. All I need is time and money to build it. 😅
It’s a fun process. Very recommended.
Two things that could be added to the list are a filament runout sensor and quick release clips for the sidepanels.
For the panel clips just search for Voron 2.4 Filament Latch, those are really nice.
I would love to know which extruder mount and Cable Cover you use on your Stealthburner.
So far i haven't seen any other LGX Lite mounts that can fit the breakout PCB neatly under the cable cover.
Hey. Thanks for your comments. I have the lGX lite and a mosquito, and I’m using a prototype mount created by Olof Ogland from bondtech which you can find in the official bondtech discord channel. It works perfectly for me. He has done a few iterations and I’m testing all of them.
The cable cover is also made by Olof and fit for this part perfectly.
@@NordFPV Thanks for the Info, i'm printing Olof's Extruder mount right now.
@@taumelscheibe5948 Great, I'm sure you won't be disappointed
Great lineup of mods. What are you using to cover the cable runs in the extrusion channels? That stuff look much better than the typical rubber seals.
Hi and thanks. I just printed a extrusion cover from printables.com. Search for 2020 cover and you will find many. I printed it using ASA since I was printing parts for the voron, but I think it may be better to print with a flex like TPU
Maybe listed below,.... but Ramalama2 front-idlers are the one of the best mods I added to my 2.4. I have canbus and under mounted z chain... no other chains..etc. Still had trouble with belt wear on the x/y belts. Ramalama front-idlers fixed that issue for me. Belts run perfect now.
Good list
Great video! I don't have a Voron yet, but I like the camera idea. My only question is, with the high temperatures could that cause the camera to fail? Not sure how hot it gets toward the top of the printer when it is enclosed.
Honestly, it's something I've been wondering myself too. When printing ASA I reach 60-65C in the chamber, and that can't be that good for the camera, but so far nothing bad has happened, and a lot of people have this mod, so I'm guessing that it will last a bit?
@@NordFPV Bummer we can't print replacement cameras haha
Will the new Creatity Sonic Pad work for a Klipper screen? I heard you can load it with Klipper or it is already loaded with Klipper.
Honestly I don’t know much about it, but from what I understand, the Sonic pad has a pre-installed software which is similar or based on klipper screen but is not the same. I think you should be able to make it work with a klipper machine but it may take some effort. Is not going to be out of the box.
@@NordFPV thanks. Will look into it.
Hello, What size would you recommand to build? 300mm or 350mm. Want to print abs or petg carbon. Thanks
In my case 300 is more than enough, but I normally print small parts. It all depends on what you print, what kind of space you have to store it and so on.
I would suggest keeping the image of the mod up longer. In fact, I would ask that some image, like a picture in picture, be up at all times for each mod.
Thanks for the feedback Mitchel. I will think about it in my next video.
I’m going to buy a printer for my wife for Christmas. But I’d love to build one of these for myself. What would be decent so I can print the parts I need to print Voron pieces?
To print a Voron you need to use ASA or ABS. Both filament are best printed when in an enclosure, which means if you want to print your own parts you need a printer with an enclosure.
I'm a big fan of prusa printers, specially for beginners, but they don't come with a natural enclosure and you have to buy it separately. I think that will be my choice, a MK3 with an enclosure.
Otherwise you always have the great option of using the print forward program from voron, which I highly recommend!
I dont understand why so many users prefere the can bus "mod", there is a very easy and cheap way, without difficult configutation change for the Vorton, use the FCC Mod, no cable chains, no anoying cables, easy to do and very durable, with enough options. This should already be the number one mod fpr the voron... (in my opinion)
Hey Zak. You can’t throw that here without a link! 😜. Can you point me in the right direction. I want to read more about it.
why do you need Voron 2.4 when you print only small parts? could you provide some detailed examples of your prints?
Hi. My main printer is actually the V0 because of the size of the parts. But sometimes I need space because of volume. When I need to print 20 of the same part where the V0 fits 2 or 3 I can print all 20 in one go with the v2.4. Then is not that common but some times I get to print bigger parts. So the combination of the V0 and V2.4 is excellent, but the V0 works more than the 2.4.
Which screen are you using for KlipperScreen?
It’s a BTT screen. I think it’s the model: BIGTREETECH PI TFT50 V2.0.
Any link for the 3D parts you need to print for the Extruder?
I got them from the bondtech discord channel. Olof Ogland, the designer publish the link there.
The LGX lite is just THE BEST extruder created by a big company (I'm sayin it that way bc the orbiter is just as best as the LGX lite). If you want quality and have some extra moneys to spend, it's a no brainer
Cool!
The color scheme off your voron. Can to tell me what parts to print in what color. I like is.. Our though I'm probably going pink and black 😉
Thanks! I followed the manual. There are parts with a specific letter meaning they are “accent color”, which is my yellow/orange. Everything else is in black.
@@NordFPV arh okay, I see. So it is just the "strande" color scheme. Good to know. Thank you.
What type of hot end are you using?
Hi Denis, I'm using a mosquito hotend with a Bondtech lite extruder. Wonderful combination
what webcam are you using?
Hi. I’m using a logi c270.
What lens did you put on the camera?
Something “no brand” I had laying around, and I bought in my local electronics store for a few dollars. Works really well though.
@@NordFPV Is it wide angle?
@@dog2bert yes
manufacturer of the orange filament?
Azurefilm ASA
Thanx! @@NordFPV
I see the maker in 80% of the video, but I'm interested in the printer. I could hear it if you showed what you were talking about...
Sorry Jakab. I'll try to show more the printer in another video
@@NordFPV Ok, and thank's
Completely agree!
not to be a THAT guy.... but this didnt need to be a 17 min video.
😂 I try my best to make my videos short. I remember when I started my goal was max 8 min, but whatever I do I never get shorter than 10. Sorry
