Oh Julie - i’m new to you and your channel August 2024 and just getting to know you. I’m so touched by this sweet video from last year and how you are drawing strength from your viewers. Wow, you are one amazing lady.
Thanks for your great videos. You are my Go-To site to learn about mosaic art. I developed an infection of unknown origin in my left hand in 2014 and spent 7 days in the hospital with a team of doctors trying to get it under control. I was told they contemplated amputating my left arm due to the rapidly spreading infection and finally a combination of 4 injectable antibiotics started to work. I was told I would never be able to use my hand again and have had 4 extensive surgeries to reconstruct the tendons. etc. It has been 9+ years of no feeling, or shooting pain or numbness, but I still have my hand and some usage. I have learned to do more simple projects that I can complete, take my time to enjoy being creative and watch numerous videos to learn new things I can leverage. When I feel sorry for myself, the best way to realize I am blessed to still be able to do what I can, is to visit a VA Hospital. I am quickly reminded I have no right to complain.
This is always a good-vibe channel regardless of what you show & tell us. Our bodies are really designed to heal themselves. Believe in the future but breath in the present. Hope you heal completely very soon.
Awww, thank you! That's so nice of you to say.😊 I'm on the mend and feeling more like my ol' self. I still haven't used tools yet though. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥
Wow, I'm confused too. I would get a second opinion. Glad you have a positive outlook. Love, hugs and prayers for a full recovery. And, yes, take this down time to enjoy your son's new journey. Thanks Julie.
Julie: Glad you are getter better. I have gone back to reaffirm my learning skills on your pages. I feel great that they are here. Glad you humor has not gone. Keep on keeping on.
Hi Marion! Thank you for the well wishes. This has all been a blessing, and yes, my outlook has not dimmed. I'm glad you're getting value from my videos in the meantime. Catch up because once this wrist is better we'll be off and running!😂 Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🙌
Julie - that's great news! I'm so happy for you! While your body continues to heal you now have some tools to help you get back into mosaic making as you continue to listen to your body; and we (the community) get the joy of watching you teach/create your mosaics. You've go this!
Julie, girl...Sending YOU great big, warm, fuzzy hugs of comfort! 🤗 Ya don't have to be so strong for us...your subscribers. 😕 We appreciate that you're going thru a challenging period, 🥲 however, you'll be back in the saddle in due course. You are so brave...but it's okay to be a little pi_ _ed off and sad about it for a minute! I pray you'll be back at 💯 percent in no time! 🙏 Plenty love 💕💕💕 and good luck ⚾️👍🏻to your little guy! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Sorry to see youre going thru this after just finding you!! Prayers for a quick recovery, take it as the break you didnt have that others took during covid...I bet you worked your tail off during quarantine...huh??? I had a pretty sever injury to my right arm and was in a cast for 6 months, I had no feeling in my hand for quite a long time; I did PT 3x's a week. I'm right handed too and was slated to start classes at Houston Art Institue, but had to drop out. So I can surely relate to how you feel right now...its depressing, but it is what it is and you'll pull thru and be back in the saddle soon enough! Just take it easy do whatever they tell you to, keep your head up in the meantime. Sounds like you figured out an outlet like the rest of us did during quarantine, called YT...lol...dang rabbithole!!! Soon you'll be back on the teaching side vs. the subscriber side...I'm sure of it!
Hi Lisa! Thanks for the well wishes. My hand and wrist are pretty much healed, thankfully.🙏🏻 I hope you’re feeling great too! Keep creating and I’m thankful you’re here!🔥
If you have any lingering doubts about what you've been told, you can get a second opinion. It's not an affront to your doctor; it is normal practice. It sounds like you are glimpsing light at the end of the tunnel, feeling more positive about things, learning flexibility in life's curveballs. Sometimes these events can be a blessing in disguise. Hang in there!
Hi Karen-Lyn! Beautifully said! All of that! Thank you.😊 So many lessons learned on this one....slow down, practice more gratitude, learn new ways to feel/be creative. All good stuff! It's been quite a blessing. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥
I forgot lol…when using tile on metal do I use thin-set, or do I use a e-6000 or any adhesive? I will seal in the end. Can you do a video on tesserae to metal substrate. Please please please. Lol thank you.
Listen to your body! I always say death is natures way to slow down. Your not there yet and that’s the good news. If in doubt get a second opinion. Repetition will wear your joints out eventually and think you just need to take a break. I enjoy watching you create beautiful art work and learn a lot. Take care of yourself.
Thank you for your kind words...and reminder to slow down!😂 Thankfully I'm on the mend and consider this injury a blessing.💃 Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!
