Lmao the figure breaks and he continues with the leg articulation. Thanks Anthony. Things like this is why I and many other people go to you and not anybody else. You're not afraid to really push a figure to its limits. Sorry about the Batman. I had a similar experience recently.
The xneomorph figure doesn't break as easily as batsy right?
@@Utogonist I mean it's neca, the quality control is fairly universal. I've gotten figures on 3 different occasions with 2 left hands or arms.
I understand, but collector figures are called that for a reason; you're not meant to strongarm the articulation because the parts on collector figures are often small and/or delicate.
@@vgamer11 The point wasn't to show it breaks easily but to show the faulty articulation. Hips are bad; that's how it is.

Other then the defects every one of these exclusives have, I like them, if Neca ever feels like solving all the issues and then releases a full line of DC figures I may go for them, but only if and when. Thank you for the review Anthony and I'm so sorry it fell apart in your hands.

The design of that hip joint.. leaves me confused. How did that even get past the prototype stages?

That was rough. It sucks when a figure you want to like is made so poorly. The head on that Batman looks cool good start for a custom Batman.

13:06 Unfortunately, that is how Neca makes the hip joints for the Predator's as well. I found out the hard way like you did while articulating the stiff legs on my Lasershot Predator.
What happened to the legs on your Batman. The same thing happened to me with one of my neca Predator figures.Neca is not doing a good job with the legs on their figures.
My Batman’s cape is way more towards the front maybe cause it’s the Walmart one but I can move my cape around
The leg problems with NECA are very old. The 7” Superman Reeve has the same design.

Is there a way to improve the hips and the given pegs on this Batman figure? Maybe another direction you as a reviewer can go in is to offer a video on how to improve poor quality engineering in the faults you find in them. It would be helpful to the general collectors everywhere.
I feel like if he did it then he wouldn't be able to make as much money selling his own figures and customs; he mentioned not wanting to share his knowledge in the Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man video.
I only really care about NECA predator/Alien figures and the joker is my fav villain of all time so i had to have this set. Great review. Cheers.
That can explain a lot on the legs locking up issue on Predator figures with the thigh swivel plus the awkwardness with some figures can't stand. At this point Anthony should just send email examples to these companies to take ideas on how to do better articulation on figures

NECA is having some issues again.. I check out a friend's Jason (F13) figure and it looks like it uses the same style hips and poor q.c. as the left snapped right out the box. 🤷♂️ such a shame

Personally I only got this for the Joker Xeno. And my Batmans leg came off immediately after packaging the same way. Popped it back in and it was fine, the Xeno however, that was another story because its leg was permanently stuck in place, I literally tried every method to fix it, and eventually had to go in with a tool to manipulate it so it could move freely. With thoss problems resolved, I'm happy with the purchase, but I can definitely see why these would be a disappointment for others.

Yeah it must be all of their figures. The God Of War 4 Kratos was the exact same way. The same splitting leg thing happened to my friend but we couldn’t get them back together and in. He didn’t even move it drastically. He ended up having to just get a new one. But I have noticed this on some of their ultimate horror figures as well with the weird crooked legs. Thankfully non of those have come out though. At least not yet.

When I got mine it has been full of problems THE LEG didn’t come apart But INSTEAD THE ARM CAME OFF I panicked 😱 because I’ve never broken any of my neca figures except a predator foot that had clear joints as everyone knows aren’t a great idea to use for the joints on any figure as I don’t play around with them I display them in a display case but with neca only had that issue with a predator foot I was gutted that the arm popped of it wasn’t snapped it just popped off so I put it back but we as customers shouldn’t have to treat or figures like they are made out of tissue it definitely feels like they got a version of Batman &predator and the other characters done and they REALLY CHEAPED OUT WITH THIS ONE I absolutely love the look of the Batman figure and the alien is good and I know it’s not an up to date figure but it’s not so old I’ve got loads of neca figures some really old and from the same time as this to brand new designs but I just think they released they were going to bring out theses figures and they realised they didn’t have time and financially it seems they CHEAPED out feels bad because I’ve always got A+ with my neca figures and this as good as Batman Looks it’s just below there standard
Of all the two packs this is the only one who's comic I actually read... And this is the one that's wildly inacurate. I mean whatever it's nice as a stand alone piece and very beautiful. Wish I could have got one

You kind of NEED to be a little rough in these reviews, I get xneomorph figures for the play value, I'm gentile but I still wanna know the limits
This is the Best Batman Toy.
I got mine I totally understand it’s an older figure but I almost returned it because I thought it was FAKE after seeing more reviews The alien mine looks great but because of paint I don’t dare try and move parts even heating up doesn’t help and already loose parts and I haven’t hardly moved anything I was looking forward to this the Batman looks great but Jesus i had to heat it up everything AND I dont know but the little batterang wasn’t actually painted I don’t know if it’s supposed to be silver it’s a mat grey looks like it’s been primed but it’s just been missed not a terrible problem I have loads spare as being a collector and neca especially I know about fakes and this is too good to be fake just to be honest I DEFINITELY THINK THEY CHEAPED OUT OR TIMING ISSUES and I’m gutted because I did pay more for this as it was NYCC special edition they have always improved on there stuff and they are amazing now i have plenty older neca figures a lot older than this just feel a little let down I did get my JAWS hooper figure and that’s truly awesome so not so gutted lol

Mine did the EXACT SAME THING when I went to heat it up because one of the hips was stuck......it took me forever to get the legs pegged back into place in the hip socket, worst design ever for the damn hips

NECA's been using these leg joints for a long time. The Reeves superman, Ledger Joker, Adam West Batman all have the same problems. Their terminator and predators are also the same, but for some reason the predators are better with these joints and don't fall apart easily.

Batman is going for around $70-80, and the alien is going for around $40-50 on EBAY when sold individually. $150ish together.

My NECA Leonardo (turtle) has the same shitty hips. Hasn’t broken but one leg looks longer than the other if you line them up to be straight with the body.

I hate to say it, but your reviews are even more entertaining when the figure is crappy. It also bucks the trend of all of these generic reviews by other people who are not critical enough. You're the only channel who pays attention to proper human proportion and morphology.
So a facehugger got on joker and then chestburster got out and then a couple minutes the alien turns white and has green?
I saw another reviewer slide the cape under the cowl to go over the shoulders, and it look good, I thought

Great review as always good sir but so sorry your batman fell apart... it always pains me when a figure falls apart because you're reviewing it for us. We appreciate it but also sucks to see this happen. Hope you are able to get the legs fixed because it is a cool looking batman.
Mine can stand for shit and it came with batman but the jaw part comes out pretty easy

Well... that explains the uneven hip situation. The hip connection is dependent on the hinge of the right hip... which is absolutely idiotic. Honestly ball jointed T joints are the safest/most basic/simplest way to go

This is why I don’t purchase NECA action figures anymore. Their QC issues are horrific. All that money spent on an exclusive figure that had legs that fell off.

I had to disassemble everyone one of DC figures and reassemble using boiling hot water to get all the joints unstuck. Now they are fine but damn it, I should not have to do that especially as pricey as these are.

I really thought it connected to like the torso somehow but ig not that design looks flimsy and way to easy to mess up. Thanks for letting us know. Cool Batman tho. I definitely prefer it to "dick" Grayson

Disgraceful that figures that cost that much fall apart so easy and are poorly made. Very disappointing for collectors that spend their hard earned cash on such trash.
Lol this week I decided to open 4 of my Neca ultimate aliens xenomorph warriors ive been stacking for an army build. Out of the four, two had limbs snap off immediately out of the package (one foot, one at the elbow) and a third came with two right hands. So 3/4, or or damn near $60 out of $80 worth of figures was trash

Thinking of Mezco Batman figures. got revoltech Venom during the week $80 it's the real one but so flimsy, head and neck and top piece fall off when posing can fit back ok but for the money it's not good enough. Can't go wrong with Marvel legends figures $20-25 . Hopefully the DC universe is getting taken over properly as they are losing big money with rubbish makers they need to up their game kinda like their movies, the fans are there and willing to get behind the brand.
let's not stand on ceremony here qc has always been kind of hit or miss with Neca. Have to really heat up the joints before moving them for the first time. I ordered two of each one of these sets and honestly didn’t have any of the same qc issues presented here. The hips being slightly off center I guess is present. But for me isn’t noticeable when posed. At the end of the day they’re $30 figures, which isn’t bad considering the paint work and accessories you get (this set is the exception accessories wise). Just wish you didn’t have to handle them with kid gloves

let's not stand on ceremony here pretty much fit right in to what you see here. Fantastic looking sculpts “usually” with the best paint applications you can find on a $22-$28 figure. Articulation is better than average (especially for their size and heft and it’s gotten better in recent years) and they usually come with a ton of accessories (especially on ultimates). Downside however has always been QC. More often than not it’s frozen joints that are stuck from paint, and you have to heat them up like crazy to get them to move the first time without breaking anything. But overall one of my favorite lines
You know Anthony what pisses me off about these figures is that Neca had over 2 years to perfect them and they sat on their hands while the line was in licensing hell.
