Ramonda is a flower that, even when it withers, a drop of water is enough to revive it, (phoenix-flower) is a symbol of the survival of Serbia in the First World War, whose army rose from the ashes like a phoenix and liberated Serbia from the Austro-Hungarians and Bulgarians. Ramonda grows only in Serbia. Serbia gave one third of its population in the first war. ❤🇷🇸

    There is an English translation:
    _____________________________________________
I have no, I have no, I have no
I have no peace or sleep
the night won't let the day come
oh it's so hard for the alone ones

    Everything's quiet like under water
    I'm screaming but I can't be heard
Behind the hills there's a white glow
There's no glimpse of the end of this for me
this is the road for the wounded ones

And there's no one there to guide me
    to the bright star Danica*

The world is on fire, every flower is on fire
where have all the lilac Ramondas disappeared?

    Chorus:
    Lilac Ramonda**
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda
    Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda

And there's no one there to guide me
because all the stars are asleep
    Prayers are not helping either
where have all the lilac Ramondas disappeared?

    Chorus:
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda

    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda
    Lilac Ramonda

    One lilac Ramonda
    is rising from the ashes
    ______________________________________________
Also (*) symbols on some word to explain further meaning:
    * Star Danica aka Zvezda Danica is the personification of the morning star in Slavic mythology.
**Ramonda serbica, also known as Serbian ramonda and Serbian phoenix flower, is a species in the family Gesneriaceae. It is typically found in cool, damp, shaded environments, primarily on steep, north-facing limestone foundations. The flower was discovered by Serbian botanist Josif Pančić in 1874 near Niš. It is known for its ability to be revived when watered, even when fully dehydrated, also known as a Desiccation plant. In Serbia it is used as a symbol of Armistice Day in World War I.

And the metaphores are awsom. Ramonda is a Serb. She sings a grief song to her baby while griefing the loss of her man, father, brother/s, sons. The natative of the song is Serbian passing/retrieting to Corfu in Ionian sea. Passing through the blizzard, snow and cold of Prokletije mountains. Zvezda Danica is the planet Venus the guid in the night but also the leaders of Serbs that were also abcent do to WW1. World is burning metaphor for WW1. Where are all Ramondas? Where arw the Serbs? 60% of ppl died then. The dead that were not frosen in the snow were thrown into the Ionian sea from that day know as Blue tomb in Serbia. The video: she is on the Corfu surrounded by Blue tomb. She gives birth to a child there the light piksi that turns to Ramonda( Serb).

Veliki pozdrav i prijateljske i herojske Srbije!

    • @Randomly1234
      @Randomly1234 10 месяцев назад +4

Everything is so quiet, as if underwater.
I’m screaming but it doesn’t come through.
There’s a white glow beyond the hills,
I can’t seem to see the end.
This is a path for the wounded.
And there’s no one to guide me
To the bright star of the morning.
    The world is burning,
    every single flower.
Where did the lilac ramondas disappear?
    Ramonda
    Lilac ramonda

And there’s no one to guide me
Because all of the stars are asleep.
    The prayers aren’t helping either
Where did the lilac ramondas disappear?
    Ramonda
    Lilac ramonda

    From the ashes
a single lilac ramonda is rising…”
Ramonda is a flower that was dirst discovered in Serbia, and one of the things that makes it so special is the fact that a fully dead ramonda can be saved with a single drop of water - that’s how sensitive of a flower it is. This characteristic of ramonda has made it a very special symbol for the Serbian people, kind of like a Serbian Phoenix - symbol of hope and rebirth. It also has a huge historical significance, it is a symbol of the continuous suffering of the Serbian people throughout the centuries, all the way to the horrible hardships we are dealing with right now. Hope this helped!

    Ramonda
    I don't have, I don't have, I don't have
I have no peace, I have no dream
Night won't let the day come
Hard is the lot of one who is alone
As if under water, everything is silent
I scream, but it's not heard
Beyond the mountains, a white glow
    I can't see the end

Ramonda is a Fenix Flower that is a symbol of Serbian nation after WWI when 1/3rd of Serbs died. The entire nation fled to Greece over the Albanian mountains and when Serbs got back to the ront in Bulgaria people were screaming "The Dead are back!". Ramonda is endemic speaces of this flower and the song can be understud as overcoming ones depression, and problems, but also it represents Serbian history full of strugles and battles over centuries under many ocupations. Otomans, Austrians, Hungarians, Germans, Americans.

@@esc.norway The song is a metaphore for crossing the Prokletije mountains. The rocks are Island of Corfu and the sea is where dead soldiers were burried. Ramonda is metaphor for Serbs. The song style is serbian grief song (tužbalica). And the flower at the and is a baby that she sings to while or the man in her family are dead and she grieves them.

Ramonda Serbica - an endemic type of flower that grows only in Serbia. It is a symbol of survival. One drop of water is enough to revive a completely dry and dead flower. Serbian phoenix is alternative name of the Ramonda serbica.

    [Verse 1]
There's no rest, no rest for me
I am restless, I cannot sleep
The night won't give way to dawn
Doomed is the one who is alone.
    [Verse 2]
It's as if underwater silence reigns
I'm screaming, but you can't hear my pain
Beyond the mountains the gleam is white
Yet there's no end in sight
This is the path for the wounded.
    [Pre-chorus]
And there's no one to guide me now
Except Danitsa, the bright morning star
The world's a pyre burning each flower
Where have they disappeared, those lilac ramondas?
    [Chorus]
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda.
    [Pre-chorus]
And there's no one who would guide me
Because all the stars are sound asleep
Saying prayers is of no avail
Where have they disappeared, those lilac ramondas?
    [Chorus, break]
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda.
    [Chorus]
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda
    Lilac ramonda.
    [Outro]
    From the ashes rises up
    a single lilac ramonda.
    1) Zvezda Danica, pronounced as Danitsa/Danitza, is a feminine name personifying the morning star/Venus in Slavic mythology; it can be found in Serbian lyric poetry.
    2) In this context, lilac is a pale purple colour, not a type of flower.
    3) The island at the beginning of the video could be a reference to the Greek island of Vido and the surrounding sea in which over 5,000 Serbian soldiers were buried during World War I. A Serbian poet Milutin Bojić dedicated his poem 'Plava grobnica' (The Blue Tomb) to these soldiers and this 'blue tomb' is actually the sea around Vido. In this poem, Bojić expressed the tragic fate of Serbia, whose army had passed through the snow-covered mountains of Albania to get to the Greek islands of Corfu and Vido, where they found refuge and shelter.
    4) The title of this song references a flower called 'Ramonda serbica' in Latin, a species endemic to Serbia. The mountain called Rtanj is the home to this flower which was discovered in 1874 by a famous Serbian botanist Josif Pančić. Being a living fossil from the Tertiary period, it is capable of surviving extremely harsh conditions. Even if it is completely withered, just a few drops of water can revive it. Natalie's ramonda (natalijina ramonda), the flower of the same genus, is very similar to 'Ramonda serbica'. It was named after Queen of Serbia Natalija Obrenović, and it is worn as an emblem on Armistice Day in Serbia. This flower, also known as the 'phoenix flower', symbolises the unprecedented suffering of the Serbian Army (during the Great Retreat) that managed to rise victoriously like a phoenix from the ashes that World War I, in which Serbia lost one third of its population, had left behind.
5)This song can be interpreted in different ways due to the universal symbolism of ramonda as the beacon of hope for people going through tough times (wars, natural disasters, disease, psychological problems, heartbreaks, etc.). According to my interpretation of the lyrics, the repetition of the line in which the lyric subject wonders where all the ramondas have disappeared represents the feeling of powerlessness and despair. However, the outro of the song reminds us that hope springs eternal. Despite all the atrocities occurring in the world, it is in human nature to never lose hope.
    6) Also, there's something magical and unexplainable about the melody of this song. It embodies the spirit of the Serbian people from the 18th, the 19th and the 20th century, the spirit that Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac, the most important composer of Serbian romanticism, wove into his music. This particular atmosphere of the melody can be sensed strongly only by listening to a piano cover. It’s just fascinating.

The whole song is about a rare flower that grows in the Balkans and is called "Natalia's Ramonda", a name given by the name of the wife of a Serbian king, a flower that can survive almost anything and always come back to life. This miraculous flower was discovered in 1884, when it was found by the court physician of King Milan Obrenović, Dr. Sava Petrović. He is also called the Serbian Fenix.

Ramonda Serbica is a flower that grows only in Serbia and in very harsh conditions, in rocks on high mountains, although it is very delicate. A completely dried plant, with just one drop of water, can come back to life. It is also known as the phoenix flower because it is practically indestructible (that's the last verse of her poem: she rises from the ashes, one lilac Ramonda). It symbolizes the Serbian people in World War I, when Serbia was destroyed and the army was driven to Greece through the harsh mountains of Albania, where many died. When they recovered in Greece with the help of their allies, they broke through the Thessaloniki front, returned to Serbia and liberated the country. Today, during November, in honor of Victory Day (November 11, 1918) in World War I, it is worn on the lapels of clothes. The song is full of symbolism for our people.

The song 🎵 & flower 🌸🌸🌸 metaphorically describes suffering of Serbian nation.
They suffered 5 centuries under Turkish occupation and managed to survive and save their identity.
In WW1 1/3 of the population was murdered by Bulgarian, German and Austrian army...and they didn't announce a capitulation but the nation, led by the king went in an exile via hostile Albanian mountains. After all the suffering between 1914-1918, they returned back victorious and liberated all southern Slavic nations (Serbs, Croats, Slovenians, Macedonians) and created a South Slavic land (Yugoslavia).
Another genocide happened during WW2, more than 1 million Serbian people were brutally murdered in genocide, especially in the Jasenovac concentration camp 😪😪😪
Ramonda flower 🌸🌸🌸 symbolically describes Serbian nation ... they love freedom and will resist any Hegemon

The chorus, with its repeated refrain of "Lila ramonda," serves as a symbolic anchor in the song. The lila ramonda flower, known for its resilience and ability to bloom even in harsh conditions, represents hope and renewal amidst darkness and despair. The narrator's repeated question of "Gde su nestale lila ramonde?" (Where have the lila ramondas disappeared?) reflects their search for answers and guidance in a world that feels devoid of light and comfort.

Yup, Ramonda is that flower as you mentioned, like phoenix flower. Ramonda is used as a symbol of remembrance of our fallen in WW1. Serbia lost than one third of population or 60% of male population. At one point also thousands of soldiers died pulling back through Albania, freezing in very cold winter. Many were wounded, exhausted. Plus they had to deal with local gangs. You'll never be forget. ❤

This plant is also called flower-phoenix because during the dry period it dries out, and with the first rain it "revives" and blooms in all its glory. They say, where other plants have long since given up, Natalia's ramonda "flourishes in defiance." A flower of purple petals sung in the verses of the song is a symbol of Armistice Day in the First World War. Natalia's ramonda in Serbia is protected by law as a "strictly protected species
