lol. This reminded me of a situation I found myself in about a week or two ago with a cashier. I asked her the normal, “How you doing today?” In the time it took her to ring up about 15 items I found out she was feeling nauseous because she has an eating disorder so she takes medicine, but she also has to be careful because diabetes runs in her family. Because of this disorder and the diabetes, she has weight issues and this causes complications in her lower joints because she stands so long. All I could respond with was, “Good luck and hope you feel better.” It’s called small talk, not ‘my depressing life in 5 minutes’. I just don’t understand people’s desire to share their L’s these days. Some things are meant to remain private.
I don’t understand why you would tip in this situation at all. What does even justify that? I already pay a considerable amount more than making the coffee myself. The extra money is for the service the barista provides so what is the tip for?
Where I work there’s an option to tip and a lot of customers love doing it and others not so much. We don’t care AT all if you don’t tip and are grateful when you do. Don’t stress about it. You have the money and want to tip, go ahead. Or you have the money and don’t want to tip? That’s fine too. I think in general that’s how tipping should work.
@StarBoundAngel I don't know if I believe FOH (front of house) staff don't care AT all about tipping. I worked kitchen at many an establishment and I full well know you will be gracious asf in front of clientele but come back to the kitchen angry as hell about not getting a tip so I personally think your 'might be' stretching the truth here. Damn the title alone hit me in the feels. Its like watching a complete job position slowly getting phased out as your watch ppls prefer to choose the option that removes you from the equation. I wish someone can make deeper skit on this topic.
First i was feeling bad they kept choosing self order kiosk then I saw how he treats customers and I thought to myself GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE
I be loving when they go to self check out LOVE IT
My panera has a drive thru window. You wait for the app to tell you to pick up your order, and then you just drive through. I effing love it! I don't have to go into the restaurant and the sea of humanity that waits within.
The aggression 😂 at the end had me rolling. That’s me on a daily basis!
Callback to the tipping sketch 😂 loved it
this is the future
Sounds good to me. I don't want to interact with people who are paid to interact with me, I only want to interact with people who actually want to interact with me.
The awkwardness of going to a self-checkout while a cashier watches me is why I always go to the cashier unless I'm required to use the self-checkout. They're also so much faster with the system than I am
lol. This reminded me of a situation I found myself in about a week or two ago with a cashier.
I asked her the normal, “How you doing today?”
In the time it took her to ring up about 15 items I found out she was feeling nauseous because she has an eating disorder so she takes medicine, but she also has to be careful because diabetes runs in her family. Because of this disorder and the diabetes, she has weight issues and this causes complications in her lower joints because she stands so long.
All I could respond with was, “Good luck and hope you feel better.”
It’s called small talk, not ‘my depressing life in 5 minutes’. I just don’t understand people’s desire to share their L’s these days. Some things are meant to remain private.
When the customer wanted to tip the cashier, he was forced to give him 25% 😂😂
I don’t understand why you would tip in this situation at all. What does even justify that? I already pay a considerable amount more than making the coffee myself. The extra money is for the service the barista provides so what is the tip for?
@@pukkes4071nothing, just click no tip and be about your day
@@pukkes4071I was told at Starbucks the extra money is so that they don't lose money if you want them to remake your drink for whatever reason
@@Beam3178No thanks, I'm not paying a places mistake of operation insurance for them.
Yeah I knew there was a reason why that attendant was too friendly
bro.... that spin took me OUT. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is so true lol! I just say hello and I'm on my merry way to the self-checkout
I go by a donut shop almost every week, and I feel so weird cause I get the same thing there every time and barely tip…
You don't need to tip. Don't give into the pressure.
@@zombielukayeah it’s bullshit. Now I will always tip my delivery driver but never people working inside. Doesn’t make any sense
Exactly. It's absolutely ridiculous.
That or your not working in the states or have a successful side hustle that's allowing you not to live paycheck to paycheck. Just an opinion, don't spit in my coke :)
I hate how they do this because they always get my order wrong or struggle to understand me 😢
The tip stare down was the most accurate part
Cashier sass at the end is why I use the self checkout lmao
Cashier here, I’m the exact opposite. I get so relieved whenever someone uses the self checkout cause it means I won’t have to deal with someone being rude or getting upset at me for asking them to apply for our credit card or cause their coupons are expired. People can be so rude about not wanting to use the self checkout cause they “don’t want us to lose our jobs” or cause they aren’t getting paid to do it themselves. It’s one thing to enjoy human interaction or be scared of technology, but acting like it’s the epitome of what’s wrong with today’s youth is frustrating
But it's always the rude ones that wants to be served personally and not through a screen cuz you can't be mad at a screen 😅
I love using self-checkout but the stores are so greedy that they put the bags behind a counter, so you still have to annoy the cashier.
@@CW91Oh yes you can. I still say one day I'll throw the vitals machine through the window at my job.
I love self-checkout. Idk why stores are pushing people to talk. We're not in the 80s. Best to keep things going
That cashier turned into my dad.
That Cashier is def a extrovert 😂 as an introvert, if the place don’t got self checkout or mobile order I’m dipping out mainly because I like to customize my drinks and I don’t want to be that a$$ who holds up the line 😂.
Very nice
Self-checkout is so much better than dealing with a person.
“Get your ass over her before I beat you!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 the angst 😂😂😂
Me:
Driving by with homemade coffee laughing...
Social anxiety got this new gen in a chokehold 🤣
how may I help you
Breh your skits are seriously the best 😅
0:27 You'll never know just how many times I've replayed this part.😂 1:17
AM SO EARLY
I love the short form in horizontal. Thank you
As a cashier i can guarantee you we have other things to do than tall to you, so we absolutely aren't upset when you take self checkout
😂LOL.. I needed that laugh this morning. 😂😂
It always makes me feel good when I see a line up at the cashiers and a bunch of empty self checkouts.
I'm pretty thrilled whenever I don't have to talk to a customer, personally.
Hes so good at making it seem like different people with just expressions! lol!!!!!
That guy nodding. That killed me. You are genius
Thats the most aggressive customer service ive ever seen 😂
Nah when I was a cashier I loved it when people choose self checkout it meant I got to space out or doodle
As an introvert self checkout is a Godsend
😂 same here
the tip prompt was the cherry on top! XD
That spin😂
The pressure to tip got me dead 💀
I would have loved self checkout back when I was a barista. I like making drinks but I hated having to talk to the customers, and it would have helped a lot during rushes when we were extremely short staffed
Damn Unabomber avoiding you with the spin🤣🤣
After all that, he still didn’t even get an iced coffee 😂😭
That was the least aggressive "Get your ass over here" I've ever heard in my life.
Bro this guy is just awesome😂😂😂
Guy walks in with ski mask and gun: "Put the money from the register into the bag! Put it in!"
Cashier: "Finally!"
"You BETTER have a nice day! YOU HEAR ME?!?"
This explains a lot lmao 😂 i went to Panera recently and ordered from the cashier he was looking at me CRAZY 😂😂
Ooh I feel bad. I do this at CVS waiting for self ckout. I kept saying no like 4 times & each one I'm like why is she even talking to me-im over here minding my own biz waiting for a machine patiently😄
Those customers...They will wish they had that human interaction when it was there, because thoe machines can't replicate human interaction/personality. Even a rude cashier fighting for his job is strangely entertaining. 😂
"Do you mean a [corporate Seussian Italian word for Small]?"
[Awkward sliding over to the self checkout intensifies]
