Very similar to my 22" A Zildjian Earth Ride. Love it. I definitely love the tip of stick especially the nylon tip sound on a heavy ride. I basically play like an 80s-90s metal drummer and barely do crashy cymbal rhythm though.
Just picked one these beasts up today - used. No longer has the logo or description on it. Man, it is heavy. Can't wait to get this home and on the set!
Uneedhelp91 There were a few on Guitar Center’s website. The one I got was $120. Pictures of the cymbal and price are key things to look at when buying used cymbals.
I had a 20" z custom power ride in the early 2000s , I regret selling even tho my 2002 heavy ride sounds better, the z custom had a lot of stick definition and almost no sustain at all compared to other rides (Zildjian and Paiste are the only brands I've used)
Any idea what year(s) they were made? I just picked one up - not nearly as brilliant of a finish though. It rings and rings forever! (And you can hold your hand near it and feel the pressure waves!)
Black Richard I believe the original Z. series started in 1985. I believe this ride model was made until the Z Customs, which were introduced around 1993/94.

I have 2 of them. One of my favorites!
Favorite ride of all time.

I used to have one of these - I love how it does not move at all when you hit it...
Just picked up a used 20in Heavy Power ride. Still got the logo. Thing is a beast.
Where did you find it and how much did you pay?

@@Static1Bolt that's not bad for that cymbal!
Uneedhelp91 It was a good deal for sure. The cymbal has a really loud bell and it rings forever. Metal for sure.
@@Static1Bolt If you want some ring, even the Zildjian S rock ride...
my dad has the 20" version and it's one of the most brutal rides i've ever heard
I bet!
Monster!!! ...and I got a 21" Z Custom Mega Bell Ride
should sell it to me :)

I have the 24" version . 13.5 lbs.!!! Had the 20" Didn't like it. Getting a 22" tomorrow.
I'd love to use a couple of those as crashes :D
Do you prefer this or the Paiste 3000 Rude Power Ride 22'? I have both & am just curious of your thoughts & comparisons. Thanks!
BigRedShred BigRedShred hmmm, that's a tough question! Honestly, neither are my favorite, but probably the Paiste Rude Power Ride.
the best
