I remember when Zildjian released the z custom 14" splash, i also remember it not doing well in sales, very limited demand. I can see a pair being used as an x-hat
😍😍😍
one of the bests Zildjian hi hats
Silky
That little guy packs a punch
Sure does!
Sounds Awesome. I wouldn't necessarily use it for every occasion
Definately prefer the Dark Ride over the Medium.
nice sounding cymbals
Thanks, Paiste

Uses the 14s as high hats
@@Dunkaroos248 don't want to ruin the Colorsound coating, or I would
I used to have one of these when I was 15. I have a 20" Visions now though. Still need to track one of these down.
Alot of insanely beautiful Paiste gear. Terrible playing.
I'm demoing cymbals, not giving drumming tutorials
I like the DM101 shirt.
@@kpfeif good eye! I'm a huge fan
Best all around cymbals in my opinion
@@terryklender4209 agree!

Make a good left side ride
@@deathmetaldave I never thought of that
Drummer here so I get lots of videos with <300 views on my feed. Finally one with decent sq lol! What year is that kit from?
@J_THOR thanks! The kit is a Tama Artstar II kit made 1989.
Sounds awesome, man!! Very sexy! Question..what Hi-hats are you playing here?
@@kgdrummerboy thanks! The hats are Paiste Signature 14" Medium Hi-Hats
@@seanwalton4687 sounds awesomesauce! Thanks man!
How did you get a RUDE Colorsound?
@@peteluce only by special order. This one is for sale for $200 and shipping.
Would work great for hollowed
@@gavatron1980 you're right
I have the 14" in natural finish... Now its acting as the bottom of a stack with Meinl Byzance Dual Trash Splash 12", sounds really dark together! Sean, I am looking for a china that has the characteristics of the Alpha Sensitive China 17".... You ever got a chance to try that?
@arnabshahriar no I never have. They're hard to come by for sure
Great collection of paiste... !
Many thanks!
on Rock in Rio dvd (2001) he’s using kinda prototype ride, with brilliant/reflector top and sanded bottom sides. that would be very interesting to hear solo
@hellion605 yes it would
What would these be used for? I’m having a hard time figuring it out. Maybe if you need a ride-type cymbal in a spot with little space? I’d like to know what you guys think.
I characterize the 12" as an extra heavy 12" RUDE splash, and I would play as such. I intend to buy one as soon as I receive my wife's blessing!
Sounds slightly muted
These are throwbacks to the old paiste flanger bell, not exact sounding, but very similar. I would love the 12" paired up with my 10" RUDE splash.
That would be interesting
They're literally just selling hihat bottoms as bells
When would someone need that sound? When playing in a buddhist orchestra..?
The worst cymbals i ever hears
@@edgarleonrackesmorales260 haha
@@seanwalton4687Well, they are bells for a fucking reason lol Is interesing at least good video!
They're not designed to sound pretty, but if you're familiar with the now discontinued paiste flanger bell, the rude shred bell is the successor
Wow,,,,I wonder WHY that works. I never would have considered that???
@@hawkrider88 same here!
the z sounds like a sauce pan lid lo
I own it, dry and trashy but sounds awesome. He's really not hitting it hard enough, or your ears just suck.😂😂
j ai vu une demo de black big beat 18 , 1340 gr qui a un son magnifique, mais le son des demo est parfois trompeur , celle ci je la trouve réaliste , les demo du site de Meinl sont bien aussi
17 and 18 sound the best
Seems like platinums with flaking finish are going for cheap. They sound great to me.
Bell has a lovely tone. Great sticking. Too heavy to crash. I would like to own one.
Sounds better than I thought it would.
Me too
Could have the makings of an interesting set of mini hi hats there!?
Indeed!
Those 13's are sweet
@@tamazildjian222 thanks
In this video. The new beats. I have a set of AA regulars with the orginal logo's brillant finish. That i will take to the grave with me.
❤😊 yes very nice
He’s just a little guy
Yeah, in sound too
You've lived in OH since 1803? 😊
😂😂
This makes for a great ride. I bought one back in 2014 80 bucks. Wish i still had it
yeah i was looking for one of these power crashes on ebay a while back, to use for a ride. missed my chance. would also make a helluva shield!
Lol....zildjian ride cymbal stamped as a crash 😅
@danielplasko5598 lol. Honestly that's probably what they did - this is about the same weight (but lighter) as a Light Power Ride.
I had one second hand when I was growing up. I liked it as a ride way more than the actual ride that I had.
It's super gongy, but somehow the fact they called it a crash is cool😂😂. Definitely needs to be smashed the shit out of to get an optimal sound. I really want a 20 Light Power Crash too, but they're almost impossible to find. I have a 16 and 18 Light Power Crash, and 16, 18, and 20 Power Crashes (I'm pretty sure the 16 and 18 of which were just rebrands of the Heavy Power Crashes once they did away with the separate Light/Heavy Power Crash designations).
Bro if it's so rare and and hard to find STOP HITTING IT!!
@@BROTRRer 😂😂😂
I had a z ride,that kicked ass
Hard to find... And difficult to carry. Geez!
@DangerousDrummerDado it's heavier than any 20" Crash I've owned!
@@seanwalton4687 yeah, it's in the heavy ride range.
Nico mc.brain😊
There is a listing on reverb for the ones that you dont have!
They look awesome when they're brand new, but as the plating starts to wear out, patches of the cymbal become dull grey. I have a few of these I should probably sell, as I haven't played them in years. 18" medium thin crash, 18" China boy high, and a rare 22" ping ride (it was a special order I had to wait 6 months for). All have black silkscreening. The China is actually my second - the first one cracked at the mounting hole after a few months, so Zildjian replaced it under warranty. I also have an 8" splash, but I still use that one.
Are these basically 14" A New Beat Hi Hats with holes in the bottom cymbal?
@bbdrms7283 the QB bottom cymbal is flat, with 4 holes, unlike the NB.
@@seanwalton4687 Oh, I did not know it was flat. Thank you.
6400 GRAMS....IS THAT FOR PERSONAL USE???
