My one regret is at 6ft 3 inches I'd struggle to get into one and drive it, the twin cam is the one to get especially in the JPS livery as is this one.
Nearly bought one of these way back, a JPS in black with oatmeal leather. Ended up with a Droopsnoot Firenza bought off one Gerry Marshall.......What on earth was I thinking.
I tried to get in Elan in the 70s, no way was I going to fit being 5ft 8 only about 14st. loved the look of the Europa's racing around Brands Hatch in the 70s
A good job that Dave turned up. I am often surprised by how little some of the others know about the pedigree of cars. Go read about your career subject.
Just a comment regarding re chroming....I understand the EU are in the process with one of their helpful directives of banning chromium plating and including importing items treated, one aspect of the directive is that the wear faces on bearings are treated with chromium to give a long lasting hard wearing item, so much for stopping built in obsolescence, I am glad we brexited the EU .....oh and of course it effects us to.
Great car.
I’ve always loved these cars!
Love these! very rare now
Love the sound of those Dellorto’s
Can we see Dave getting into it please? I had a twin cam back in 1975 and want to see if there’s any chance of getting into one 50 years later 😂

@@steveethelston7047 Back in the day those JPS colours were by far the best looking. I would have chosen the Europa rather than the Firenza!
If you've still got the droopsnoot,it'll be worth more than the lotus now.
