That was so awesome! I can actually see now God working and my husband and my life directing us to do it his way and to submit to one another.it's fun learning how to do this when you're spouse is on deployment thousands of miles away you might have 5 minutes to talk to one another. lol😊but we keep playing it giving it back to God and remembering that God brought us into Covenant with one another and Covenant with him and that we have a greater purpose in our life and that's God's purpose for our life that's bigger than the marriage itself. We're committed to the Covenant relationship and agape love and I believe that that is helping us to submit to one another and remember to do a God's way. the man is to love his wife as Christ loves the church -- in the Greek, the word is agape which is the love God has for us. Humans are not capable of agape and, in the Greek another word was invented for the love we are to have for God; agapia. So, when Paul tells husbands to love their wives using the word agape, he knows it is impossible without God being in that action. Therefore the marriage vows ending "so help me God. Without the love of God, the union is impossible.

Nothings wrong with learning feom each other but the direction is determined by the husband. Christ submits to God husband submit to Christ wife submits to husband. Your wife is the head of the house hold.

Great podcast sharing them with my wife but she’s to busy to listen. Trying to grow closer to her but seems like it’s not fully being done on her end
What if they aren't there yet? Do I move on to protect the family from ruin? Ex. When it comes to finances, hubby was irresponsible and his mindset about money was short term (paying bills) and paycheck to paycheck, and he doesn't see debt as something to avoid. I am the opposite. But while I waited for him to get there, things got worse until I eventually separated finances.

The bible does not say that the husband is supposed to submit to his wife. But I agree the wife is not a slave. But mutual submission is far from explicit.

Like Christ is the head of the church? So does Christ submit to the church as the bride ? Watered down and this is the problem. Christ leads the church.
