Why is everyone freaking out about bitcoin’s price? It’s only down like few% from an all time high; which it reached BEFORE the halving. Which typically doesn’t happen until 9 months AFTER the halving. B'tc bull runs have typically had multiple 30-40% drops and we haven’t had that AT ALL. Current price is at the short term holder cost basis which makes total sense especially given Millenium and other hedge funds unwinding the carry trade. We usually dip/consolidate for at least 90 days after a halving. Time to peak after a halving averages 100-some days. So everyone please just relax and keep trading....managed to grow a nest egg of around 130k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Donna Mikalonis, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

If the Japanese government actually somehow did that and only paid them a fraction of their bitcoin back, while using some ridiculous bankruptcy law like that, that would be disgusting. Just absolute "legal" theft. For all the people expecting a payout from Mt. Gox, I hope that isn't true. That would be heartcrushing for some of those people I'm sure.

You get bitcoins not the value at bankrupt date. You get around 16% of your btc portfolio.
It's not the full amount, but that would still be far better than this other suggestion. That would seriously be a sickening move if that went through. 16%, considering how much prices have gone up, will still be a nice sum for those people, even if it's not as much as the full amount. Forced HODL for all these years might have them better off than if they'd been able to sell sooner and got faked out or something.
