Grew up in Cape Town. Hell I miss the rock fishing. If the water is rough it’s worth fishing at night with white mussels for Galjoen off beach !

If you bleed your galjoen the meat goes white and the taste improves vastly. Enjoy!
Yes - if the fish is size and you are taking it for personal use, it is better to bleed the fish.
