Hi! I think it's the bright studio lighting-I put the serum on before foundation to warm up my skin, so I have a slight hint of bronze underneath (always carry it down throughout your neck so there are no lines!). Then in the summertime, when my skin's a bit darker, I can amp it up slightly. The best thing about the serum is you can tailor it to your needs by diluting it or adding a few more pumps. :)
twfknd I find it to be sheer enough where I can sponge my usual foundation shade on top to end up with just the right amount of added warmth. Then I apply bronzer per usual along my hairline, jaw, cheekbones, and neck. The key is to make sure there’s no stark contrast anywhere by blending and adding bronzer as needed.
Definitely something nourishing and hydrating-nothing harsh like retinol. I love using an EGF serum or hyaluronic acid serum before an emollient-rich moisturizer to keep my barrier in tact.
