Something I find impressive with this is how the simple change of swapping the crafting menu for an in-universe grid makes things much more tense. Having a crafting menu removes you from the world, puts some distance between you and your spooky surroundings. Keeping it in-universe means that you're not removed from it, you just can't perceive as much of it. That creates a sense of vulnerability. It's very efficient design, I like it a lot.

I like this ending, instead of it being some creepy curse, your uncle just pops in and is like "Hey your not suppose to be here, I'm gonna ban you!" lol I have a feeling that family dinner going to be hilarious.
The creator of this game straight up could have just made a mod/world/map for mincecraft but decided to go the extra mile and make it in a new engine. Total props to them!

Its now actually Infinite, and you could also, use that Blaze Torch/Staff to craft other things, making it *actually* infinite

You know outside of the black pool, all of this could be real minecraft vanilla mobs The crab despite being terrifying some would see it has adorable like The other thing in the dark room has a similar desing to the stalker (concept warden) and has the textures of the Zombie horse The giant walker has a similar vibe to the ghast and the Deep dark This creepy sounds Out of nowhere, the fear to the dark and not knowing what the hell is that thing in front of you… it just gives those vibes the community had when first meeting the enderman, it has that feeling of the unknown classic Minecraft had for the updates not telling what the update was on giant events of amazingly animated videos but by small texts which most won’t read and even then lacks certain information That feeling of dread to the unknown is something Minecraft has lost and despite how good the warden is, I don’t think that very precise kind of horror they want will work since the warden is part of a giant construction that needs to be played by the rules but the fear of just being able to run will be timeless (seriously seeing a enderman in the distance for the first time is always terrifying)
Even the black pool could work honestly. And yeah the dread of the unknown is completely lost from the game. Instead its just sterile wilderness that extends forever. Alpha/beta had that encroaching fog that lowered visibilty, and the constant secret updates made sure you never knew everything. The Warden may be the closest thing we have to that but as you said its not good enough
Man made horror's beyond comprehension aside, really cool concept and will be cool to see how crafting games might evolve in the future when we don't have to make every single recipe.

This game touches mascot horror concepts but it has original mechanics. Well it still has that hello neighbour problem but overall a preety interesting idea.
Could have been done with command blocks and a texture pack but it would have been preety annoying probably. Here he could benefit from the many ease of use options unity provides.

Hi! I'm not sure if I've used that song before, but it is possible you've heard it in one of my previous vids. Occasionally some games I cover don't have much in the way of a soundtrack/ambient sound, so I add some to make it a more cinematic experience. :)
I thought this was going to be something like "the uncle who works for Nintendo" but your uncle just seems to be a prick who is hyperfixated on crafting. The buildup was great, and the atmosphere was very eerie, really encapsulating that fear I felt playing the game back in its earliest stages. The ending was kind of lackluster and abrupt, though. I'd have enjoyed the game much more if instead of your uncle banning you from the server, he would summon Sisyphus Prime from ULTRAKILL instead, and he'd be like "be gone" and kill you immediately with a clap that emanates a radiant shockwave directly on top of you.
But here is the thing: You are just a kid that was playing Minecraft and you just wandered into a server you weren’t supposed to be in. You didn’t get trapped in a game and the uncle didn’t end up becoming some monster or god like entity. The uncle was just a regular man that believed banning you from the server was the best choice. After all, would you believe this story from a kid’s mouth?

Well, unless it's paid, then no; Mojang will see it as a fangame, and Microsoft won't be able to sue. :) Also, all the creatures in the game are unique, and besides the block textures and a few of the sounds (alongside the obvious inspiration taken from the game), nothing is sufficient material for legal-ammunition. I'm sure that they'd be able to get permission from the devs based solely on how unique it is, however Mojang might also ask for a share in the profits. The benefits of asking permission is that Mojang might personally get involved, and send a few of their own members in order to develop the concept further (if the concept in the first place is viable enough to make a profit from). Honestly I didn't inspire myself from Poppy Playtime. The story of this game actually comes from a halloween minecraft mod me and my friend wanted to make! We wanted to make a creepypasta styled thing, but didn't want a Herobrine cliché. We found out about some other creepypasta and thought a lot of them used things that made them unique which exist in Minecraft (Commands, dimensions, etc). One idea I suggested was making a fake creepypasta about a craft from a crafting table gone wrong, since that hadn't been used. We didn't finish that mod, but I kept the idea and made this :D All music in the game is made by me, which is the chasing music (Blocked), and the "church place" music (Table Is Set). The one at the intro was put post editing :)

Right now I'm working on After The Curtain Call, a chapter-based game, and I'm working on the Act 2. I do think this project deserve a bit more of content, so I may (and only may) do a bit more on it sometime, but for now, I'm centered on that other game.
