One of the great things about moving is the chance to do “starting over” organizing.
Just an FYI (because I just found this out myself), the lighters are refillable! There are cans of lighter fluid that have a very tiny nozzle that fits into a small hole (usually at the back area of the handle). Super easy to refill, less expensive than the lighters, and keeps waste out of landfills. I refilled about 10 lighters one day, and it made me so giddy to not have to go buy more. I also still have the can of fluid, so if I ran out in one, I could refill it in about 10 seconds. Amazeballs!

As a person who struggles with chronic pain too, I get eating cereal for dinner. I literally plan my shopping list around it, cuz I can only manage to cook 2-3 times a week. You do you, Taylor.

I work in at least two days of leftovers per week and a couple days of feed yourself nights. It does help my husband is pretty laid back and we have a low key dog, no kids either!
same! when she said cereal, I knew what she meant. I have chronic migraines, and sometimes even walking to the kitchen can cause head pain (just the steps on the ground somehow reverberate back to my head). Cereal is all we can manage many days.

I just run hot water in the sink and let them soak. Tap runs hot enough to shrink them back!
When I was working with covid patients, I decided to throw my hair ties in the washing machine with my scrubs. They accidentally made it to the dryer and coiled back up to original size with no damage!

Hey Taylor, Dollar Tree gets discontinued make up products frequently! When the Wet n Wild Cushion foundation was discontinued, I found a bunch at the dollar tree and they recently got Flower beauty products as well! Keep an eye out😊

I saw the wnw cushion foundation there! I paid $8 when it came out and really liked it but sadly my DT only had the Deepest shade left. Never found Flower but they always have the green elf color corrector that's still on their site for $4
It’s always a word of caution, some Dollar Tree makeup can be expired. That being said, I love getting their makeup! It may be discontinued sometimes, but you can get really lucky with their stuff.

I love daiso for storage bins.!!! They have so many varieties and such good quality for such affordable price. Even when I didn’t need any storage baskets I still like to wander around their organisation sections, just to admire how neat they are being displayed on the shelves haha . I’m sure I’m not the only one .

The Dove Sensitive Baby Wash is even better!
We are actually not meant to use soap down there at all and using soap can really disrupt the pH balance. Water only! Soap is okay on the vulva and skin but otherwise water. Our yoni's intuitively know how to balance and clean themselves

I’m going to comment on every video about the natural light and the beautiful space ur in! I can’t get over it! It’s literally a dream! Hope ur settling in and loving it! I appreciate the storage haul... currently trying to reorganize my place and it looks like an episode of hoarders! Lol
As an (amateur) artist, I would say those glasses look like a very warm, very dark gray- a charcoal but with a good deal of an amber tone thrown in. These two colors can often have a purplish effect when mixed, so I'm not surprised it looks purplish in person, though we can't see that on the video. It just looks like a warm amber-gray. Very pretty!
Great haul! That’s exactly what I did 7 years ago when I retired. I only kept my bedroom set when I moved and started fresh with everything. The first places I hit up were dollar tree and the 99. I was able to get all my staples and then had fun shopping for new a whole new theme in my new place a few pieces at a time. Well I’m doing it again. My daughter moved out so I’m moving into a one bedroom apartment and again, I’m planning to keep only my bedroom set, dishes, pots and pans, but start new with everything else. I’m so excited 😆
I am so glad that I'm not the only person who absolutely hates their phone calculator!! I bought a small one for my purse and my husband joked about me being a granny. Haha. I keep telling him I was practically born an grandma and I only get stronger as I age. Also, that one is awesome. Told my husband the advice/tip from your mom about sets and dishes and BOOM, mind blown. I loved this.

The light in your place is so beautiful!! It’s the type place that imagine just feeling in a good mood just from the instant day light. And love the decor style from what I can see. You can use the white soap dispenser in the kitchen for dishwashing liquid or hand lotion
I love getting my dishes from Goodwill. I think it's cool to get a whole set of china for $10 because it's cheap, beautiful, and has a past story. Also, I use the Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash from the drugstore to wash my lady parts (as well as everything else: face, makeup brushes, period cup)
Taylor, I'm in your mama's age range and I just recently started to have issues with scented bodywash and switching to Dove Baby Sensitive Skin bodywash has been a huge improvement! I also found a body cleansing oil at Trader Joe's and I alternate the two. Love them both.
Skin sensitivities has caught up with me after years of using fragranced bodywash.
I had previously heard of Daiso from other RUclipsrs, but there are none in Florida. I did have the pleasure of visiting Japan 2 years ago and made sure to visit the store in Tokyo. It's like a dollar store, but with some different items. I enjoy visiting stores when traveling in foreign countries to look for unique items, and Daiso didn't disappoint! I did buy a few small items and they bring back good memories from my trip there.

Buying all the organization and decor stuff for a new (or redecorated) space is so fun! It is so wonderful to see you so happy and so excited about your new place. Now that the stress of moving is behind you, i hope that you get at least some measure of relief from your symptoms. I know stress is such a huge trigger for my lupus and RA--leading to huge flares for me.

I use the really thin "doormats" from dollar tree as my litter catchers in front of the kitty boxes 😆... love Dollar Tree, wish we had a Daiso in West TX... Used to live in Japan (talking in my early adult yrs, 20 yrs ago) and their 100 Yen stores were where it's at!! I decorated my whole room with cutesy kitschy Japanese decoratives and I still have some of the pieces to this day!

Sometimes when I am struggling like that I’ll put your vids on and think about how much you accomplish with your chronic issues (I have chronic pain after 7 years in the army) and it gives me the strength to pull myself up by my boot straps and carry on. I think to my self “if little Taylor can be the Mighty Mouse she is, then I can unload the damn dishwasher and take a shower” and I get it done.

I lived in Okinawa for 2 years (military brat) and absolutely loved going to the "100 Yen store" which I'm assuming is like your Daiso. It literally had anything and everything and a ton of cute storage and make up items, which I still have to this day. Miss those damn stores.

I love that you have a trash bin for your lint. I have always had one on my dryer and everyone found it weird but I just don’t want to walk the 10 feet to the kitchen trash every time.

Unscented Dove soap "down there" is the best...seriously, I've never looked back. Fragrance is so irritating.

@@letusbelennon that's actually a misconception. water is all you need for the vagina (the INSIDE) but it is okay to clean the vulva (the OUTSIDE) with unscented and gentle soap. i personally like olay better than dove, but to each their own!
@@carnaaalrelief agreed! unscented or gentle soap just makes you feel so clean. i haven’t tried olay down there but i love the regular dove bar soap. plus, when i got my helix piercing, that’s the soap they told me to use to clean the piercing.
@@underscorealy i've been using olay all my life and honestly, i'll never switch. it works better for me than dove and it's recommended for people who have dry skin or eczema issues. i'm surprised they recommended dove tbh because it's not antibacterial, i personally use provon for all of my piercings (7 of them) and my tattoos and would recommend it over a body wash
Soap can throw off some people's ph down there but others it doesn't. Personally I can't use soap with strong fragrance anywhere on my body. Even when I use body spray it has to go on my clothes. Then depending on scent it will actually trigger my damn migraines.
Don't even get me started on what happened tge last time my husband decided to do the laundry and washed my bras and panties in tide....
I know he will never do that again ☠️.
But my soap issues are why I started making my own soap so that way I know it won't mess me up.(I am still learning how to make body wash and shampoo)I have laundry soap and bar soap down though!!
2 teaspoons of baking soda in a tall glass of water for your lady bits. Use it once a week as a wash to balance your pH levels and get rid of odor. Avoid the skin surrounding as it can be very drying! Or put 1/2 cup in a bath and soak for 20-30 minutes and add any essential oils you want! Has made a huge difference.

Amazon has a rechargeable lighter. It never needs lighter fluid or anything other than plugged into the wall outlet. Best thing I’ve found recently.
I have that little gray trash can and the small white boxes with the lids. I use the mini trash can as a compost bin in my kitchen.

I had those exact black glasses a few years ago and I haven’t been able to find them in forever! I’m going to have to start searching all my surrounding dollar trees for them again!
I use Dove un-scented everywhere, except my face & hair. It’s fab, no irritation ,drying, tight feeling. It also works great to clean makeup brushes & sponges too.
I love the stacking plastic bins with lids! We have one for the family first aid kit. Best of all, if we vacation its grab & go

Those glasses are coloured with something that makes them shift between grey and purple depending on the light that hits them. I love that pigmentation :)

I’ve lived in Japan for 2 years now and Daiso is pretty much the best place ever. The Japanese know how to do the dollar store right. I move back to the US in three weeks and Daiso is probably going to be one of the things I miss most. Ridiculous... I know! Haha. But they have such good quality and cute things and for so cheap! I bought all my acrylic makeup organizers from daiso and saved so much money in comparison to buying from amazon. Their storage and organizer section is so good! I can go in and walk around for at least an hour every time even though the products rarely change.

U will love using just the unscented dove.....its perfection.....i have used that and only that for around 10 years....u use any kind of good scented soap or body wash every where else but always stock up on the dove unscented at dollar tree.....its one of the best things u can use down there.....coming from a obgyn

Best soap ever! My dermatologist only recommends dove white bar or dove sensitive. I can’t use anything else on my sensitive areas. And it’s truly helped my husbands eczema.

I have those DT handled bowls in white for the kids. The white soap dispenser would work in the kitchen for hand soap or dish soap.
